Speaker 1:3-3-3. Maybe that's a good thing, People, if you play those lotteries go play 3-3.
Speaker 3:It's the golden episode.
Speaker 1:Golden is a 3?.
Speaker 3:Mm-hmm. Okay, no, like golden, because it's 3 and 3.
Speaker 1:That means gold.
Speaker 3:Yeah, like you know know, golden birthdays no okay, like a golden.
Speaker 1:I think golden is like oh no, just kidding, no it would have to be.
Speaker 3:It would have to be like the 30, like the 300th episode or something on the 33, never mind it's not golden, we'll get there. Tink, we'll get there but all the numbers have to align, so I don't even know if it would happen I thought okay a golden birthday is like you're born in may, right, and like say you're born may 21st and then you turn 21 on May 21st, so that's your golden birthday Whenever you turn 21. That's like the most special birthday, oh all right Interesting Good to know so.
Speaker 1:Okay, so your birthday is November 30th, so that means when you turn 30, but what about the November part?
Speaker 3:That doesn't matter, it's just.
Speaker 1:Oh okay. So when you turn 30, because you're born on November 30th, that's your day. So wait what's?
Speaker 3:your day Fifth.
Speaker 1:I'm November 5th.
Speaker 3:So your golden birthday is my birthday In two years.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm yeah, I'm four.
Speaker 2:Oh sorry One year.
Speaker 1:Wow, one year. Okay, let's have a golden birthday party for me.
Speaker 3:Yeah, you're going to have a golden birthday.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm going to have a golden birthday.
Speaker 3:I can't even imagine it being November again, I know.
Speaker 1:Guys, it is so cold.
Speaker 3:It's been so cold and so strange.
Speaker 1:We've broken the records. Okay, so last night it was snowing again. I don't understand. We've broken the records here in New York because it is just so cold, and everywhere you guys are sending us pictures and videos of places that are having snow that never had snow. I know this is crazy.
Speaker 3:And like, the fires are still going on, so we're sending so much love over to everyone.
Speaker 1:The people, the pets, everybody.
Speaker 3:Yeah, everyone in LA.
Speaker 1:Yeah, all the people who are helping out.
Speaker 3:We hope that this show is a little escape from that for you guys.
Speaker 1:Just take a little break before those winds pick up at 5 pm and listen to us and just smile.
Speaker 3:Yeah, or get warm if you're on the East Coast.
Speaker 1:Yeah, not East Coast, it's everywhere it's freezing, tink, I know.
Speaker 3:Middle America.
Speaker 1:We're going to be below zero, like all next week. I think starting Sunday, what Wait? Think starting Sunday, what Wait? No, starting tomorrow. Like they say, we're going to have frigid, Frigid.
Speaker 3:Oh, not interested.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm just glad it's January, because for us January is always really slow and calm. So I'm glad because then I don't have to go out. True, yeah, slow and calm. So I'm glad because then I don't have to go out. True, yeah, it's great because all these layers don't really help when you're five pounds?
Speaker 3:no, no, they don't at all yeah, so happy variety everybody.
Speaker 1:Hope you're staying warm having some coffee and listening to us Having some coffee and listening to us Coffee.
Speaker 3:Coffee I have so much coffee right now.
Speaker 1:Yeah, well, we need it. It's freezing. What is this? The banter We've been bantering already, even though we didn't officially say let's start the banter. We've been bantering. We talked about the snow, the cold, but I do have something exciting to share. If you have not followed us on Instagram, we started something new last Sunday on stories. It's called Sunday Q&A with Tink and Belle. So last Sunday we started it and we got so many questions. It was really fun. I had a good time listening and reading and hearing and answering all those questions, so we're going to do that every Sunday. So we've got Friday is Gossip Pups. Sunday on Instagram Stories is Q&A with Tink and Belle, which you can ask us anything, and we've been answering a lot of strange questions, but all good questions, yeah, yeah. So we try to get to all of them. We got to a lot last week, which was really fun for the first kickoff, so we're going to do it again every Sunday. So now you've got something exciting for Tink and Belle on Fridays and Sundays. Yep, and it's a happy new year.
Speaker 3:It's a wild weekend.
Speaker 1:Wild weekend for you guys. What else happened this week? Oh TV.
Speaker 3:Let's talk TV. Yes, let's talk TV.
Speaker 1:We've been watching.
Speaker 3:Some recaps.
Speaker 1:The Way Home. Have you guys seen that where they dive in the pond and go to different centuries?
Speaker 3:The Way Home. It is on the.
Speaker 1:Hallmark Channel for anyone who hasn't checked it out yet.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it's season two, three. No, I think it's season three now.
Speaker 1:I don't know what we're watching, but we just keep watching it.
Speaker 3:It's so good.
Speaker 1:You know, it's like Pretty Little Liars PLL, where the red person keeps appearing but you never know who it is. This is they just keep diving in the pond and going to different centuries and coming back.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it's kind of like a take on Alice in Wonderland, but not yeah, I like it. I really enjoy it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and don't give away what happened this week.
Speaker 3:No, I'm not giving away what happened this week Okay, because I almost did. But we're happy that that's back Happy that's back, so we have something to watch, and it's on Fridays. Fridays.
Speaker 1:Which makes like Fridays even better.
Speaker 3:It's so exciting, so you can watch the new episode on Fridays.
Speaker 1:It's called the Way Home and our All Creatures that we Finish has come out on PBS. That's really great. You guys can watch that to stay warm indoors.
Speaker 3:And we started a new show called High Potential. Yeah, we checked it out, high Potential. I liked it With the girl from Hacks, hacks.
Speaker 1:She plays the daughter in Hacks. I liked it.
Speaker 3:I actually kind of liked the first episode. Yeah, I'm interested to see you know when it goes, when it goes and everything. But we'll see.
Speaker 1:I think it's going to be good, because it seems like every episode will be, you know, different, focused on something different.
Speaker 3:I hope so, yeah, so yeah, it'll keep. It's kind of like it's like SVU or something.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's like, well, I don't want to give vote away, but it's like she's a genius, has very high potential and is able to solve crimes for the police that the police normally couldn't do. Not saying they have low potential, just saying that they needed that extra person who has nothing to do with them, and she's good. Yeah, so I like that. What else are we watching on TV? That's it right now. Oh, and tomorrow's another football game. That's about it. Any movies?
Speaker 3:Tomorrow's another football game.
Speaker 1:And Taylor's going.
Speaker 3:Yes, tomorrow is the Chiefs playoff game. They have to win this one.
Speaker 1:Boom, boom, boom and.
Speaker 3:Taylor will be there. Because it's in kansas yeah, she's going to be there 100 guaranteed she will be there.
Speaker 1:Everybody knows it. It is not a swifty rumor. This is a fact I wish we could hop on a plane I know oh, it would be so awesome yeah, but it's freezing there, so we would have to be in the booth with her.
Speaker 3:These paws need to be in the suite.
Speaker 1:And in the suite. Every time she's there she has a coat and stuff on, so it's not that warm in there. I don't think either Is it hard to hear?
Speaker 3:Well, because they have the windows open. Oh yeah, the front windows.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I would keep it closed. Sorry, I don't know about that.
Speaker 3:It's freezing, freezing yeah but it's going to be wild at the Chiefs Stadium. What do?
Speaker 1:they call it the Kingdom Chiefs Kingdom. What do you mean? What do they call it?
Speaker 3:No, but what's the Arrowhead Stadium? Arrowhead.
Speaker 1:Stadium.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it's going to be wild. I'm so jelly.
Speaker 1:We will have our Chiefs jerseys on that they got us. We will have our bandanas they gave us. We're ready for you guys.
Speaker 3:We are ready.
Speaker 1:And they better play, not a joke, this week.
Speaker 3:No, they have to play. If they don't win, they're out. They're done. They're done for. So this is a very important game, not like the last one that we watched.
Speaker 1:I'm telling you the last one. I was like what is happening here? This is ridiculous. What a waste of money and time. So this one will be an action game, a good game, where they're running and tackling and getting field goals and touchdowns, or whatever else you call them. So did you hear what they want to do with football now?
Speaker 3:What.
Speaker 1:You know how they have in tennis those electric line beams that can tell you when it's out or in.
Speaker 3:I actually didn't know that, that they have that Really. Yeah, I thought that's the point of the person sitting on top of the high chair.
Speaker 1:No, but if a player says, can we refer to the video playback and challenges his call, it tells you whether it's out or in. Oh, there's like a neon radar line. So they're going to try to implement that in football. And the players some of them are happy, but some of them are not happy, because human error is part of the sport.
Speaker 3:Yeah, because that's the point of it. Yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so apparently the Kelsey's are not happy about that.
Speaker 3:Oh.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:Well, I don't know.
Speaker 1:And they would eliminate. There's these guys that hold this, this like a spoke, with a chain on it. Apparently it could eliminate their jobs. What's the?
Speaker 3:spoke with the chain job.
Speaker 1:I don't know, I don't know much about football. Me. Either it's these guys that stand and say it's out or in, or whatever, and they have this big what do you call that Tink? It's like a stick, like a cane, but it's really tall, I don't know, and there's a chain attached to it and they were saying that it could eliminate their jobs, because I guess they're the ones that put the stick where they think it landed or something I don't know.
Speaker 3:Okay, so it says the chain crew is a crew that manages signal poles on one of the sidelines. Yeah with it. Yeah, there are three primary signal poles the rear rod that marks the beginning of the current set of downs and the forward rod that marks the line to gain and the box that marks the line of scrimmage don't't know what all that means, but yes, the two rods are attached at the bottom by a chain exactly 10 yards long, while the box displays the current down number. I'm so confused already.
Speaker 1:Me too. Don't know what that means. This isn't a sports podcast. All I know is that those chain guys could be out of a job very soon.
Speaker 3:This is not a sports podcast, but apparently the chain crew. Chain crew's days are numbered.
Speaker 1:They are by technology taking over.
Speaker 3:Wow, I have no idea.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I know, isn't that crazy.
Speaker 3:Oh yes, it says the NFL announced a partnership with Sony to use the company's Hawkeye computer vision technology to replace the chain crew.
Speaker 1:Told you you think I was kidding I might be for but I'm not kidding.
Speaker 3:The system was tested during select 2024 preseason games, but the NFL does not plan to fully implement the technology until 2025 at the earliest.
Speaker 1:Mm-hmm Next season. So those chain crew's days are numbered. I tell you, oh, poor chain crew, I know. I wonder if you go to college for that chain crew training. I don't know, I don't know Is it like a college you get a master's degree in being a chain crew. Or is that like something you just learned? I don't know interesting, so get ready for saturday. I'm happy because I will be watching the the game in the warm weather. How does one become a?
Speaker 3:chain. How does one join the chain crew?
Speaker 1:how does one do it? I, I think you have to. Maybe it's like a family. You have to have family members who are previously, or something Kind of like, in theater if you want to be like a stage crew in the real Broadway shows. You have to have family and relatives.
Speaker 3:To join the NFL chain crew, you typically get a recommendation from a former chain crew member or someone with a connection to the team. The home team's office usually selects the chain crew members Interesting.
Speaker 1:Yeah, interesting, interesting, interesting, see, so I learned I'm learning a lot new stuff doing this podcast.
Speaker 3:Yeah, you are.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and I'm sharing my wisdom with Miss Tinky.
Speaker 3:Well then, I guess we should get into it. Huh no, oh, we shouldn't Not yet, I just want to read one more thing. One more thing.
Speaker 1:Our new locations oh let's do it.
Speaker 3:Let's do it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's always fun. Okay, so welcome GPS listeners. New locations.
Speaker 3:Republica Srpska. What Shouldn't you like look up how to pronounce the spell before you say it?
Speaker 1:on the pod here. S-r-p-s-k-a.
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 1:Yeah, okay, Tink.
Speaker 3:No, I don't know how to say it and I'm not going to mess it up. I'm spelling it Republica.
Speaker 1:S-R-P-S-K-A. Okay. Okay, that's a new location. Next little new location Waxachachie Texas. I'm really bad at names guys, but this is W-A-X Waxahachie Texas, waxahachie Texas. Welcome new listeners from Waxahachie. Next is Alberta, which is in the UK and welcome. And another new location is Versailles, kentucky. Wait, isn't.
Speaker 3:Alberta in Canada.
Speaker 1:I thought it was in the UK.
Speaker 3:I'm confused.
Speaker 1:Me too, but yeah.
Speaker 3:Republika Srpska is in Serbia. I'm very confused, so cool, Welcome Serbia.
Speaker 1:And how about Versailles, Kentucky? I thought Versailles was in France, but I'm pretty sure Alberta is Canada.
Speaker 3:Yeah, a province of Canada.
Speaker 1:Okay, sorry, and then Versailles Kentucky.
Speaker 3:Well, that's in Kentucky.
Speaker 1:Obviously.
Speaker 3:But where exactly Got that memo? Tink? Where exactly is Versailles Kentucky?
Speaker 1:Is it near? You went to Kentucky, didn't you go to Kentucky? Yeah, you did.
Speaker 3:It's out on the outskirts of Lexington.
Speaker 1:Oh, wow, so cool.
Speaker 3:Versailles.
Speaker 1:Yeah. So holding on to our top country and territory is USA, followed by Germany, followed by United Kingdom, followed by Canada, followed by fifth place Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Speaker 3:Nice.
Speaker 1:Yeah, Pretty cool huh.
Speaker 3:Versailles is surrounded by serene farmland, as well as some of America's most famous bluegrass horse farms Nice.
Speaker 1:Horse farms.
Speaker 3:Many of these horse farms are home to well known Kentucky Thoroughbreds. Winners of the Kentucky Derby.
Speaker 1:Nice, Kentucky Derby.
Speaker 2:Mm-hmm.
Speaker 3:So hey, versailles Looks like a nice cute little town, old-fashioned, interesting, yeah, okay. Well, thank you for that, tinkerbell, I mean Belle.
Speaker 1:She's talking to herself. She's losing it. I'm losing it. See it's, her age is setting in. She's losing it guys. Hey, watch it. I'm telling you, I'm seeing some odd things lately. Now she's talking to herself. Watch it. I'm telling you, I'm seeing some odd things lately. Now she's talking to herself Should we get into pop culture? Let's hit it.
Speaker 3:Yeah, okay, let's hit it. So apparently, taylor Swift is renovating her Rhode Island mansion to become her main family home with Travis Kelsey main family home with Travis Kelsey. The singer is sinking $1.7 million into a massive renovation of the $17 million Watch Hill estate, according to building permits and zoning certificates. Providence Journal was the first to report on the renovation. Swift's Seaside Palace, infamous for her star-studded 4th of July bashes, is set for a serious glow-up. Plans include a 400-square-foot expansion that will transform out of the sprawling 11,000-square-foot home into an upgraded bedroom suite and lounge. The overhaul doesn't stop there. The Cardigan singer is also redesigning the kitchen and adding another bedroom to the main house. Permits for the project were quietly filed in late November and early December 2024, with construction allowed through December 2025. The building permit was officially granted on January 13th. Records obtained by the Post show, but with a note, that stated work shall not proceed until the inspector has approved the various stages of construction. So why?
Speaker 1:does she need it bigger?
Speaker 3:This is going to be her main home base and where she and Kelsey will hopefully raise a family one day. The insider told the Post.
Speaker 1:Who are these insiders? I don't know. It's a Swifty, that's who it is. No, I mean, I saw that she was going to make it larger. I'm like, how much larger does this lady need this house? Like it's huge. She already well, she used to pre-tour host those parties which were like she brought like 30 girls there and they'd all have their own room as it was. Yeah, like how many bedrooms does it already have? A lot, it's got it's huge.
Speaker 3:I want to know exactly how big it is already. Taylor Swift Rhode Island house. Taylor Swift Rhode Island house.
Speaker 1:I mean it's beautiful because it's right on the water. It's really nice.
Speaker 3:Okay, so it says that it has seven bedrooms, yeah, and a guest suite. So actually that's not a lot, though, if you think of all the people that she's had there. She's had like Blake's birthday and it was like Blake and the kids with Ryan, Then there's Mahomes, now Now there's the Kelsey's Jason. All those kids Like where is everyone sleeping? Not, enough.
Speaker 2:They don't have to share a room Plus the parents, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:And the kids probably want their own room.
Speaker 1:All right, get more, go, but she's only adding one. She needs to add more than one then, if she's having all these families at once I guess she's adding two.
Speaker 3:That's not enough. She's making her main bedroom bigger and then she's adding so she's making a bigger suite for herself, and then she's also adding another bedroom, it says, and updating the kitchen.
Speaker 1:Well, the kitchen needs to be bigger because she's got to feed more people. Obviously, now for these parties, yeah. And now there's kids involved, Kids, and they're going to be running in a muck.
Speaker 3:Now there's kids. The what's her name?
Speaker 1:She better watch those kids, so they don't fall off the cliff into the water. Blake's kids, yeah.
Speaker 3:She's godmother too. She has a lot. Yeah, there's a lot going on.
Speaker 1:She's got what four? She's godmother too. How many does she have? Ryan Reynolds and.
Speaker 3:I don't know. I just that's a lot of kids, and especially if Trav is going to be around, that means Jason's going to be around, that means all those Kelsey kids are going to be around.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and that means she's going to have to put a fence up now, oh, around the pool, around the pool and on her cliff.
Speaker 3:I don't know, is that a law? Is that a law, though, in Rhode Island?
Speaker 1:It's a law here.
Speaker 3:And I know it's a law in New York.
Speaker 1:And California too, I think. But she's also on a cliff. One of those kids is going to go right off that cliff into the ocean, so she's going to have two fences. That's going to look terrible, it's going to ruin the aesthetics of her mansion.
Speaker 3:It says in Rhode Island, all swimming pools that can hold at least 24 inches of water must be surrounded by a fence or barrier. The fence must meet certain height, clearance and gate requirements.
Speaker 1:There you go. New fence, but is this like if you already had a pool before this was instated. Does that mean you don't need to put the fence in? I don't know, because she's doing improvements, which changes your property, so maybe everything goes into a new law now I don't.
Speaker 3:I don't think so. And regarding the pool, well, who knows well?
Speaker 1:maybe there is a fence.
Speaker 3:How do we know, can we?
Speaker 1:see. Well, every time you see those overhead helicopter shots, I I've never noticed a fence in it. It just looks like this beautiful open outdoors back.
Speaker 3:Actually I don't even think. Does she have a pool? I don't think she has a pool.
Speaker 1:I thought she had a pool. They were all wearing bathing suits. What do you think? Yeah, because they're going in a pool.
Speaker 3:Oh, yeah, true.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but when you see the overhead shots, you just see openness.
Speaker 3:It looks beautiful, I don't know. It doesn't look like the pool has a fence around it, from what I'm looking at.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so who's watching all those?
Speaker 3:kids that are running amok. I don't know, nannies Wild.
Speaker 1:Yeah, lots of nannies. Wild yeah, lots of nannies. Better have one per child Because that's very scary, dangerous, between the cliff on the ocean and the pool.
Speaker 3:Yeah, anyway, yeah, so that's the story. Okay, nice, should we go to the next one Of?
Speaker 1:course. We love it All right, we love gossiping.
Speaker 3:We'll keep on the Taylor Swift kind of train, with a little bit of now with this Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni thing. Oh gosh, I know.
Speaker 1:What a mess so.
Speaker 3:Justin Baldoni sues Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for $400 million and drags Taylor Swift into it Ends With Us battle.
Speaker 1:Yes, he did, he did that.
Speaker 3:The actor director accuses his former co-star in the complaint obtained by Page Six of utilizing the pop superstar to further assert control over the production of the popular film. Superstar to further assert control over the production of the popular film. The lawsuit claims Baldoni was invited to Lively's New York City penthouse where Reynolds and a famous and famously close friend of the couple were present and allegedly gushed about the direction in which Lively had taken the script with her rewrites. After the meeting, baldoni then texted Lively about the pivotal rooftop scene from the movie per the complaint, and seemingly appears open to the feedback.
Speaker 3:I really love what you did. It really does help a lot, he wrote, makes it much more fun and interesting and I would have felt that way without Ryan or Taylor. Lively responds by telling her co-star that she wants him to win as a director and actor and that they are on the same team with the same goal. Lively then gushes on oh my God. Gushes on, then goes on to gush over Reynolds and Swift, calling them absolute titans as writers and storytellers, adding I'm so lucky to have them as creative barometers and that they are her dragons who protect her in her battles. That's true. However, baldoni's attorneys now argue that their client felt obliged to text Lively to say that he had liked her pages and hadn't needed Reynolds or her mega celebrity friend, to pressure him. Should I keep going?
Speaker 3:Sure the message could not have been clearer. Baldoni was not just dealing with Lively. He was also facing Lively's dragons, two of the most influential and wealthy celebrities in the world, who were not afraid to make things very difficult for him.
Speaker 1:Well, guess what? It's going to get more difficult. Buddy Request for comment. Yeah, it's going to get worse for him now because you do not mention the queen. She will come for you, well, I? Or does she take the high road and ignore him?
Speaker 1:I don't know, I mean well, this is all pre him being a creeper. So at that point that that was like me. My throat just made a sound. Did you hear that guys? Yeah, it's like meowed. I think I ate a cat. Um, that was pre him being like a creeper on set and being an abuser person. So I don't know, I don't know what this guy's trying to do what is this.
Speaker 1:I don't know what he's trying to do, because to me it everything he's doing is making it worse for him yeah, and like these things are not illegal.
Speaker 3:Sorry, everyone has opinions.
Speaker 1:Yes, everyone has opinions. Everyone's allowed to talk to anyone and anyone, Obviously she had for this project, the authority to fix things how she wanted them fixed or rewrite the script, right. So you're not just doing that because you're an actor, you're doing that because you're allowed like. So I don't understand what he wants. Like this guy, he just wants to save his career, but it's already kind of done. Nobody likes you anymore. Hate to tell you. No one's flash buddy yeah, go back home.
Speaker 3:And then, on top of that, there's um. The next thing that came out is that he shares photos of his family being held in the basement while blake lively arrived to the it ends with us premiere. So apparently he claimed in the 400 million dollar lawsuit against blake lively on thursday that he and his loved ones were held in a room during the august 2024 event in new york city, and the director shared a photo of himself posing with his family and friends in a windowless basement oh please, surrounded by water bottles and soda bottles, like cases of, first of all, blake lively, didn't put him in there.
Speaker 1:They probably said you can do the carpet. You have to wait. We'll put you in an area that nobody's going to bother you, whatever, whatever, like we've done a million carpets so you see everyone out there, everybody kind of. It's like they take turns.
Speaker 1:So, he probably didn't want to be either in front of everyone, because they would have been starting to question him or whatever, or his family, who knows. So they probably said he probably asked is there a place we can wait? So that's what they had nearby Could be. Yeah, I don't think Blake Lively said put him in the dungeon, do you?
Speaker 3:No, I think Blake Lively did. She made sure that they had to put him somewhere else with everyone.
Speaker 1:Yes, but she didn't know. It was a dungeon, correct? They were not walking the carpet together, they were not being seen together, they were not communicating with each other. That doesn't mean put him in a dungeon, it just means keep him away from me. And that's where they put him, because there was no way else to put him.
Speaker 3:Yeah, but what if she was put in the basement though?
Speaker 1:I don't think it would have been a big deal.
Speaker 3:Oh, I think it would have been a big deal.
Speaker 1:Oh, okay.
Speaker 3:If it was the other way around?
Speaker 1:Even on TV sets. Some of these rooms are just small, no frills. Like it is what it is, Like you just accept it and go. He's lucky he got to be on the carpet. Abuser.
Speaker 3:Okay, but it's very complicated.
Speaker 1:Yes, it is, and I don't think this is helping him by making crazy statements and everything.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:I don't know.
Speaker 3:I'm not a fan, me either. Okay, are we moving on, moving on.
Speaker 1:Okay, maybe he can go with those other two that are called ambulance chasers.
Speaker 3:Okay, we have nothing about them. That's it. We won't talk about them.
Speaker 1:That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 3:You GPSers know who.
Speaker 1:I'm talking about.
Speaker 3:I don't know if they do, I bet. But in the talks of the royal family next story, Kate Middleton reveals she is in remission from cancer after surprise hospital visit yes what was that?
Speaker 1:we're hearing some weird sounds today. That was not me.
Speaker 3:The princess of wales announced the happy news on instagram tuesday while sharing photos from her surprise visit to the royal marsden hospital in london where received treatment. I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to the Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year. She began in her emotional post. My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside Prince William and me as we have navigated everything. The Royal 43 went on to say that she couldn't have asked for more from the medical staff who provided exceptional care and advice during her time as a patient. Middleton then announced she had taken on the role of joint patron of the Royal Marsden now that she's in remission and has returned to her royal duties.
Speaker 1:She's back. She's back and better than ever. But did you also know? I don't know, like. First of all, it's still a mystery. Nobody knows what she was in treatment for, what type of cancer?
Speaker 3:Yeah, what type?
Speaker 1:But they did say she did not have to wear ice cold cap.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I did see that so whatever her treatment was was like some special, special treatment.
Speaker 1:Or it was for, so it ovarian and breast cancer. I think you lose hair.
Speaker 3:And all other cancers.
Speaker 1:Not every.
Speaker 3:Like leukemia, yes.
Speaker 1:Well, I don't think she had that.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:I think maybe she had something, something else.
Speaker 3:Well, obviously she had something else, because this is the chemo apparently didn't make her lose her hair.
Speaker 1:Like her, maybe colon or something.
Speaker 3:I don't know yeah.
Speaker 1:But I'm glad she's okay and back yes.
Speaker 3:And that she's feeling better.
Speaker 1:She's in remission Good for her.
Speaker 3:She's back Now. She's ready to be queen Ready. She is.
Speaker 1:She's going to be a good queen.
Speaker 3:Yeah, definitely.
Speaker 1:Yeah, good, good for her, go Kate.
Speaker 3:She's not cognitively impaired. Yeah, and so now? This is like the strangest thing. It just says how friends of the Wendy Williams family organized the Support Wendy Williams Fight for Independence fundraiser earlier this week in the hope of expediting her return from a New York wellness facility to her rightful home in Miami where her elderly dad lives. Far too long, wendy has faced the challenges of being unjustly placed under guardianship and labeled as incapacitated, despite her strong will and determination to live her life independently. So then, the organizers called Williams' living situation not only unfair but also deeply isolating, as she has been denied being, as she has denied being cognitively impaired like her fellow patients.
Speaker 1:So well, I mean all of those videos that we had seen of her, I think were because she was drinking a lot.
Speaker 2:Yeah, remember, yeah, she was drinking a lot.
Speaker 1:Now that she's not drinking a lot. We've seen her. She went to a graduation, but she was in, I think, a wheelchair. Mm-hmm, I don't know. Is she, is she not? Are these people just taking her money, this guardianship, because she has a family and no one's allowed to see her or talk to her?
Speaker 3:Yes, because Williams claimed she is fully cognizant, despite her team announcing last year that she had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, and expressed how trapped she feels and I don't even understand, like this is the craziest thing.
Speaker 1:So the only way anyone will know is if they get an outside medical team to do a full exam of her. But how does she then get her money back from these people who are legally her guardians and took all her money? I don't know, like it doesn't make, it's just crazy, and why they don't let her see her family, they don't let her do anything like. I don't understand, because even if a person has dementia, you're allowed to see people.
Speaker 3:Yes, exactly so there's a lot going on there and, and like it's hard to like, she says she's fully aware, but like is she, is she? Yeah, like I don't know from all these that you're, we're getting like both sides and they're so drastically different.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that I don't really know what to say anymore and they purposely did that documentary showing her just abusing alcohol and everything to pretend that it was because of and just out of it. Right, but we don't know, like now that she's sober, is she better now? We don't know, because nobody's allowed to have communication with her with her.
Speaker 3:Yes, it says that she's been in this facility since um 2023, but got permission to travel to miami last month to attend her son's graduation which we all saw right. I wasn't a wheelchair I just don't understand why they don't give her access to her money unless, like she, literally doesn't have money. Maybe it's where is?
Speaker 1:Where is it? She drank it all away, maybe it's all gone. Well, I don't know, but this facility she's in wouldn't keep her there. Like I don't think you can keep someone there legally that doesn't belong there, can you?
Speaker 3:I mean, I guess maybe you can. I don't know, this is like all so confusing. Yeah, I feel know this is like all so confusing yeah. I feel like really bad.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I feel bad for her because, whatever the case is, she is a celebrity, it was her money and if she chooses to do things, then she should be able to choose to do things.
Speaker 2:Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1:That's how it is, like it's her money. Yeah, that's how it is.
Speaker 3:Like it's her money, yeah, and like it says how the guardian assigned to her has severed her connections with friends and family. Leaving her without a support network Correct she so desperately needs. So what Like? How is that even possible?
Speaker 1:Because they convinced some judge to do this, which makes no sense at all, which we've said from the beginning, even when she was very, um, under the influence of alcohol. It's still it's her family and she should be able to see them. Yeah, so I don't know what the right or wrong thing is, I don't know what's the truth and not the truth, but either way, it's her money, it's her family and a story. It's crazy. I feel bad for her, me too yeah and yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3:Also, some news I forgot to mention was that Brittany Mahomes had the baby with Patrick. Yep, and they named it Golden.
Speaker 1:I know Bronze, golden, silver, they all have. Yes, they love metal. Yes, they do, Apparently. Yes, they do.
Speaker 3:That's how it goes. Yep, they follow a metal theme.
Speaker 1:And I think they cannot have any more because there's no more colors.
Speaker 3:Colors, you mean metals.
Speaker 1:Metals? No, those are the metals Bronze, gold, silver, what? First, second, third? There's no other. No, she's not.
Speaker 3:No, the other one is not silver, isn't it like steel or something? Yeah, deal, sterling, sterling yeah, but still same thing. Sterling is I know sterling silver, but I mean, aren't there other medals?
Speaker 1:no, when you win first, second and third, that's it. Isn't it based on that?
Speaker 3:no, I thought it was like medals, like the, the formation of medals, not like like metal, like Olympic metal, I thought it was like Olympic metal kind of thing. Oh no, I thought it was like like copper, like they could do. Copper, like they could do, okay.
Speaker 1:Okay, here's a list of metals Magnesium If it is, that I mean tink, maybe it is.
Speaker 2:They can name someone platinum.
Speaker 3:Maybe it is gold, you know, maybe it's the Olympic medals. Right now it's golden sterling and bronze, but actually his name's Patrick, but they call him bronze.
Speaker 1:Yes, but see that's first, second and third places.
Speaker 2:Yes.
Speaker 3:So if they have another kid, they have to name it titanium.
Speaker 1:I don't think it's about that, honestly, or aluminum. I think it's first, second and third, but yes, there are other medals, but I'm going with the Olympics.
Speaker 3:That's it, they're done.
Speaker 1:That's it, first, second, third and the story. The shop is closed Done.
Speaker 3:And that is it for my pop culture for the week.
Speaker 1:Pop and culture for a quiet January. We talked a lot so far and I didn't even get to rise.
Speaker 3:Pop culture I'm ready for it. All right, I got three stories.
Speaker 1:Here we go. Okay, straight dog named Ding Dong rings stranger's doorbell for help escaping the winter weather.
Speaker 3:Wait, how does it ring a doorbell? I'm going to tell you Okay.
Speaker 1:Ding dong. The dog earned his name through his creative approach to getting rescued. According to Gateway Pet Guardians, an animal rescue in East St Louis currently caring for the canine, the dog was saved from the dangerous cold snap after he rang the doorbell of a home in his community. Ding Dong showed up at the front door of a home of one of our community members. He even rang the doorbell. Footage from Ding Dong's rescue shows the dog, estimated to be a young adult Akita mix, sniffing the ground of the porch of a home and activating the house's doorbell. The pooch was greeted by a friendly woman who approached the dog and offered him treats. Here he is, look, ringing the bell, I'm not joking. The woman answered the door, took Ding Dong inside, posted him on a local Facebook group looking for his owner and kept him safe. After receiving no responses to her search for Ding Dong's owner, the next day she brought the dog to the Gateway Pet Guardians. He seems well loved and cared for. We have searched for an owner, but so far no one has come forward for him.
Speaker 1:Ding Dong is among the numerous dogs the rescue has pulled from this season's frigid weather. After a week of Ding Dong's rescue, the deadly winter storm in St Louis. In preparation for his extreme weather event. They collected stray pets stuck outside, provided additional support to owners struggling to care for their pets Stuck outside, provided additional support to owners struggling to care for their pets. So this rescue obviously has helped so many dogs. But this dog, they believe he's fine, he's been treated, he's eating, he's fine and they think he will be fit with any family. He's a perfect fit for any family. He's a clever canine and a happy-go-lucky guy there he is.
Speaker 2:Ding dong, so they called him Ding Dong, because he rang the bell, it went ding dong.
Speaker 1:Oh my gosh, it's a good one, right? Yes, okay. Next Baby name consultant admits she stole her cousin's dream baby name for her family's new dog.
Speaker 1:Okay, what A TikToker obsessed with names broke a major name rule in hilarious accident. Jessie wasn't naming a baby, but she was naming a dog. When she was struck with the perfect idea. My mom was rescuing a dog who would join our family other dog Her name is Olive, and I was trying to think of a name that worked perfectly with Olive. The new dog is this gorgeous little white dog and I was like, oh, she has to be Pearl, she says. My mom was like you're so right, 100%, she's Pearl. I was helping her take care of the dog and the more time I spent with her the more I was like her name is Pearl.
Speaker 1:No doubt the cute name was fit for a dog, but it wasn't until they introduced her at a family gathering that Jessie realized where she heard the name before it came time for my son's first birthday that my mom was hosting, my whole family walked in and we were very excited for them to meet Pearl and right as it flew out of my mouth, I looked and made eye contact with my cousin and her jaw was on the floor. Jessie's cousin asked if she was kidding and confirmed the suspicion that Jessie was the one who suggested the name that they used for Pearl. I said, yeah, I did name her that. I apologize Honestly. It totally slipped my mind that that was your baby's on your baby name list until right now. I'm so sorry.
Speaker 1:The TikTok video about the mishap Jessie notes that her cousin isn't currently pregnant but could be in the foreseeable future. Jessie started sharing her passion for baby names and helping families struggle to find the perfect name. I probably get rattled off 50 baby names a day with people's top names and it totally slipped my mind. Luckily, her cousin was a good sport, knowing the conversation in which she mentioned the name was over a year prior to the dog coming into play. So she got the name for the dog from her cousin, who told her that was going to be her future baby's name. Yep, a year prior. Rude and rude that's what I say too. It's not a funny.
Speaker 3:It's not a coincidence. I love how this made headlines.
Speaker 1:I know Because it's famous on TikTok apparently.
Speaker 3:Oh yes.
Speaker 1:Okay, my last one. Uber dog goes viral for joining owner on ride, surprising passengers in Colorado. It makes people's day. Look In the front seat, aww. A Colorado pup has become the top dog in the world of ride sharing Bowie the dog, known online as the Uber dog. In the world of ride sharing, bowie, the dog, known online as the Uber dog, has been winning over Uber passengers on college campuses and beyond for some time now.
Speaker 1:In 2024, the rescue's dog owner, kevin, decided to film and upload clips of their rides together on social media, many of which helped Bowie earn internet notoriety. It all began in April 2024 when the Colorado native and Uber driver uploaded his first episode of Bowie's Uber vlog to YouTube. The clip shows what happens when he lets his pup sit in the front seat of his vehicle to surprise passengers. Furman has been transporting passengers for over a decade. He started taking Bowie along for the Uber ride shortly after he adopted the pup two and a half years ago. Colorado is such a dog-friendly place so I knew people would like it. That is true. We've been there.
Speaker 1:So Bowie's first video begins with him explaining to the camera that he wanted to give an inside look of what the job entails. Since then, he shared 50 additional videos on YouTube, earning over 880,000 views. The craziest thing happened, he said it started getting tens of thousands of views overnight. So it's growing on TikTok and apparently it just makes everyone who gets in happy that there's actually a dog in an Uber with a driver. I think we would make people happy.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I mean, you'd probably bark it.
Speaker 1:Well, I don't think I would want him picking us up, but if we were in the front seat of Ubers?
Speaker 3:it would be fun. Oh, that would be so fun. Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1:I don't want this big guy Bowie picking us up, because he's as big as a human, so I don't want him in my passenger seat.
Speaker 3:But if we were in the passenger seat. What if you ordered an Uber? And Tinkerbell and Belle If we were in the passenger seat?
Speaker 1:Yeah, because people already recognize us, so someone might recognize us right away again. That would be so fun, that would be cute. Yeah, one of the Sunday Q&A last week was about us with people and we just love meeting our friends and people and new friends, old friends, everybody.
Speaker 3:I love people.
Speaker 1:We just love meeting our friends and people and new friends, old friends, everybody.
Speaker 3:I love people.
Speaker 1:We just love it. Yeah, we give everyone kisses and we let everyone take selfies with us, and we love meeting people. There's a lot of dogs that don't like to be held in touch, but we do and yeah.
Speaker 3:So if you ever meet us, don't be scared, pick us up, yeah.
Speaker 1:If you ever meet us, don't be scared, pick us up, yeah. And that is the end of my pup culture for episode three of season three. I loved it. I loved all the pup culture. Yeah, Makes everyone smile. I think Definitely.
