Speaker 3Because it was my birthday and I just want to say it. It was a wild, wild week, my birthday. For your birthday, yeah, a wild, wild week, my birthday.
Speaker 1Yeah, everybody hope you're all okay. We love you all.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1Just move on Moving forward everybody.
Speaker 3Yes, I'm relieved that your birthday came and went.
Speaker 1My birthday came and went and I had the most deliciously amazing cake.
Speaker 3It was so good.
Speaker 1It was amazing. It was not sweet, it was pretty, it had sprinkles and boy, was it good.
Speaker 3A hundred percent. It was so delicious. Shout out by the Way Bakery.
Speaker 1Shout out by the Way Bakery. Thank you, Delicious, delicious.
Speaker 3So now I'm four.
Speaker 1I'm a big shot now.
Speaker 3Yes, you are four years old. How's it feel?
Speaker 1I feel more mature, I feel more worldly, I feel wiser. I feel more worldly, I feel wiser. That's good. I feel exactly the same, honestly. But well, we also had an audition on my birthday. Yes, yes.
Speaker 3And it was election day on your birthday.
Speaker 1And it was election day on my birthday, so it was a pretty crazy birthday.
Speaker 3Yes, and it was election day on your birthday and it was election day on my birthday, so it was a pretty crazy birthday?
Speaker 1Yeah, it was the. This is the most memorable birthday ever because it's election day and I don't know what I ever had my birthday.
Speaker 3Well, I don't know if it's as memorable as last year.
Speaker 1Well, yeah, but my birthday has not been, since I'm born on election day, so that was just like it just happened.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1Yeah, so what else happened? So we didn't get that audition I had on my birthday. But then we had another audition. Yeah, so that was good.
Speaker 3We did yeah.
Speaker 1Yeah, not much else happened this week to banter about, because it was a pretty intense week. Pretty tough, yeah, pretty stressful. I don't know what to say.
Speaker 3It was a wild week and all I'll say is you know, if you're happy, you're happy. If you're upset, you're upset. But everyone moves on together.
Speaker 1It's called democracy. Yep, that's how it is, and we're taking it one day at a time.
Speaker 3Welcome to the USA.
Speaker 1Everybody takes the good and the bad and moves forward together.
Speaker 3Yes, yep.
Speaker 1So that's it. I think I'm still dreaming of the water in the country that was so good the boxed water.
Speaker 3Oh, ok, we're going back there, I am. I miss my water.
Speaker 1That was last week, I miss my water Last week was the wildest ride ever Like. I don't know how we did it all but we did. But it's so crazy how we have the wildest rides week and then it's a calmer schedule week, Mm-hmm. So we yeah, yeah, it is what it is.
Speaker 3You know it's a roller coaster.
Speaker 1Yeah, ups and downs, welcome to the world Ups and downs, u to the world Ups and downs Ups and downs Ups and downs.
Speaker 3So what else? Anything else you got to talk about?
Speaker 1No, that's about it. I'm having something to drink right now.
Speaker 3Me too.
Speaker 1Because, as you know what's my favorite thing? Eating and drinking.
Speaker 3I'm having some tea in our Visit Austin Yeti Cup. Austin was so much fun.
Speaker 1It was yeah, thanks to our friends at iHeart, and Visit Austin and Visit Austin. We never yee-haw, went to a country fest and wee-haw.
Speaker 3Oh, so talking about that yee-haw, Should we move into our pop culture?
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 3Okay.
Speaker 1It wasn't much banter, Sorry guys.
Speaker 3Yeah, but I guess this is just a friendly reminder that Yellowstone is back.
Speaker 1Yes, yes, yes, yay.
Speaker 3Bellowstone.
Speaker 1Bellowstone. That was our costume last year for Halloween. For those who don't know, go check it out. Google Tinkerbell and Bell Bellowstone.
Speaker 3Yes, but Yellowstone is back this Sunday.
Speaker 2I am so excited.
Speaker 3The stars hit the red carpet for the show's season five, part two premiere in NYC.
Speaker 1Why didn't they invite us? What's the matter here?
Speaker 3I know I'm actually like really bummed that we didn't get to go.
Speaker 1Yeah, were we not here, did they?
Speaker 3It was November. Wait, it says November 7th. They wrote this, so was this the day after Election Day?
Speaker 1Oh it says November 7th. They wrote this, so was this the day after Election?
Speaker 3Day, oh, november 6th. Oh yeah, Today is the 8th, so it was the 6th because they published this, or maybe not. Maybe publish 1138 at November 7th? Oh, thursday night I'm, so Maybe I should read the article. Yeah, that would be good, and then we'll have all this information. Go Ting, the. And then we'll have all this information. Go Ting, the stars of Paramount's smash hit Yellowstone walked the red carpet for season five, part two. Premiere of the show at the Museum of Modern Art Thursday night in New York City.
Speaker 3Oh wait last night Last night.
Speaker 1Wait, we weren't here. Why didn't we get invited? What the heck? I'm shocked. Who doesn't want the official pubs of the Empire State Building at their movie premiere?
Speaker 3Oh, and I'm looking at the people who went, including Bethany Frankel, that's our friend.
Speaker 1We'll be seeing her again soon.
Speaker 3I was wondering why she was dressed up so cool. She posted a TikTok.
Speaker 1Oh, you saw. Yeah Well, did she wear crunchy boots?
Speaker 3No, she looked like, almost like. Uh, what's the adams family mom?
Speaker 1morticia she looked like morticia, but like a fierce one for yellow stone oh sure she like straightened her hair super straight and it's very long black, long solid black dress that's not not very Yellowstone-like.
Speaker 3I don't know, but it looks like maybe there was a dress code, because everyone on the carpet is in black.
Speaker 1Oh, so you had to wear black so that the background stood out Black and white.
Speaker 3It looks like you can either wear black or white, but there's no color whatsoever.
Speaker 1Yeah, they probably told them they had to wear that because they want the background to stand out, although this one, this girl, Brandy Cyrus Wait. That's Miley's sister. Didn't we meet her in California?
Speaker 3Wait, no, that's Noah Cyrus. We met Noah. Who's Brandy Cyrus.
Speaker 1Is that this Wait? I'm confused. How many Cyrus people are there?
Speaker 3Hold on Now I have to look this up, but Brandi Cyrus is in brown brown.
Speaker 1What clothes? Yeah wait, maybe.
Speaker 3Well, because maybe they said pick black, white or brown oh, brandi Cyrus, american actress, dj, podcast host, daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and half sister to Miley. So she's a half sister, yeah, so they half-sister to Miley.
Speaker 1So she's a half-sister, yeah, so they're all related she looks like Miley on here it's crazy, I don't know, her.
Speaker 3She also kind of looks like Dakota Fanning.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, what's that?
Speaker 3cowboy bra thing she's wearing some cowboy, or like cow it looks like a cowboy bra on the outside of her clothes.
Speaker 1She does look like Miley, she does. We met Noah. We got Bethany. We met Noah in California. She liked us.
Speaker 3Kelly Riley. Oh wow, she looks so good.
Speaker 1Her dress is so pretty, so nice.
Speaker 3We had a black outfit we could have worn. Brooke Shields went Ooh. I don't like her outfit at all.
Speaker 1I didn't like her when we met her last year at the Jingle Ball. She's a very I don't know different lady. What do you think?
Speaker 3Here's the guy, Gil Birmingham.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, the guy from Yellowstone. Where's Rip, Rip? Did he not show up?
Speaker 3Oh, here he is guy from.
Speaker 1Yellowstone. Where's Rip Rip? Did he not show up? Oh, here he is. Kohlhauser, go Rip. Yeah, we're fans of Rip. Yeah, do you guys know? Yellowstone, I'm the biggest fan. You've got to get into it. It's so good. Biggest fan of Rip and Beth. So there's this place, and it's Yellowstone, modeled after Yellowstone, and you can go and stay, but you know what? We're not allowed. Dogs aren't allowed. We're not allowed, can you?
Speaker 3imagine what's wrong with them, just like we weren't invited to the premiere. Rude.
Speaker 1Yeah, I guess they're going to keep with that theme. We're not invited to anything they do even though we were there for Halloween, that was the last premiere Wow.
Speaker 3It's ending it's over Dun, dun dun, and obviously Kevin Costner is not in this end of the season. No, and he was not there. Oh, here they are together.
Speaker 2Who.
Speaker 3Rip and.
Speaker 1Beth.
Speaker 2Oh, they look so good together.
Speaker 3Kelly and Cole, I love her dress.
Speaker 1They look great together.
Speaker 3I like that name Cole.
Speaker 1Cole. They use that for dog's names, cole.
Speaker 3They look good together.
Speaker 1Cole is a dog's name.
Speaker 3Okay, it is no. Yeah, it is, I guess, or I think it's an adult name too Like um.
Speaker 1Maybe. Oh yeah, cole'suser, this guy I know, but it's also a dog's name. Sorry guys, don't mean to offend you. Bow wow.
Speaker 3Anyway, can't wait to watch Yellowstone.
Speaker 1Totally excited. Me too. You know we never watched. We didn't start Lincoln Lawyers yet either. It's back. Yeah, we didn't start that yet.
Speaker 3No, I don't think no one's. Even I haven't heard anything about it yet no me either. I think everybody forgot it's back Like no one's got time to keep up on all this, yeah there's a lot of things that are like back or added on, you know, to the like to Netflix. Yeah, Like Netflix. They added on Simone Biles.
Speaker 1No, we didn't finish that either. Her additional episodes.
Speaker 3We haven't even watched that. We watched them so long ago, but then they had to shoot the rest at the Olympics and all that, so we had to catch up on so much. Yeah, but we are also taking a little trip down memory lane.
Speaker 1What does that mean? What do you?
Speaker 3mean Because we're watching Grey's Anatomy.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, I didn't even know that show existed and apparently it's a thousand years old.
Speaker 3So I made Belle start Grey's Anatomy from the beginning.
Speaker 1I did.
Speaker 3And let me tell you it does not disappoint. You know, the writing is excellent.
Speaker 1The acting is excellent and all of these guest stars on the show are really good, not like some of these other doctor shows where you're like oh my gosh, this is so bad.
Speaker 3That's why watching silly doctor shows it just makes me roll my eyes because I'm like no one knows the experience of Grey's.
Speaker 1Is Grey's still currently on?
Speaker 3Yeah, I mean, and I can't speak for what Grey's is now it's like season 500.
Speaker 1Yeah, that's not.
Speaker 3But the first couple seasons of Grey's.
Speaker 1Wait, what season are we up?
Speaker 3to Season two. And there's so many episodes per season two also, and so much drama is about to unfold and they're long, they're not like these 25-minute episodes oh no, no, no, no, they're like.
Speaker 1They're not like. These 25 minute episodes oh no, no, no, they're getting deep, they're long, they're an hour each one. Sometimes I like it, but I'm like because I get tired, so tired, sometimes at night.
Speaker 3Oh yeah, I guess.
Speaker 1But then I rewind it and watch it again. I like it. Do you guys ever watch that show? We never met anyone on that show, do we?
Speaker 3No, no, I don't think, because, like they're really not, they're not in our paths, the only one that's really that really kind of came up. Even bigger was what's her name from?
Speaker 1Pompano.
Speaker 3The one who played no, well, no, she's still on Grey's Anatomy From Pompano. The one who played no, Well no, she's still on Grey's. Anatomy, that's all she does, but what's her name from?
Speaker 1Who plays Christina? Oh wait, the girl with the blonde hair, heigl.
Speaker 3No Wait, christina Yang.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, we watched her on another TV series.
Speaker 3On that awesome TV show With that crazy killing eve. So good, sandra, oh, that's sandra, oh yeah, she really kind of. She became famous in tv movies, everything she just boomed yeah although I don't know it's like so strange, because I just like she was doing that off-broadway show in the church oh yeah, that was weird this past june and I was like sandra, oh doing yeah, why are you in the church when you belong on broadway?
Speaker 2like not that that's bad, I mean no, a lot of people do that, but I was just like wait, she just was doing killing eve like yeah, why would you be off broadway instead of broadway?
Speaker 3and now she's in like this random show yeah, she's a really good actor. She should be in broadway but that's kind of cool though. Has she been in Broadway? She's down to earth, obviously. Has she been on Broadway? Yeah, let's look her up, I like her a lot.
Speaker 1She's really good, and then we can actually segue into our next pop culture about Broadway. Her character's kind of like me. We just say what we want, exactly. She's like me.
Speaker 3We just say what we want, exactly.
Speaker 1She's like me, I get along with her. I don't know you, but I know I get along with you.
Speaker 3I don't think that she's been on Broadway. No Wait no, she has to have been.
Speaker 1She's really good and she's been around a while.
Speaker 3No, she was just in this off-Broadway show with Atlantic Theater Company, but it was in this church. It was called the Welkin.
Speaker 1Yeah, it was in an off-off-Broadway.
Speaker 3No, no, well, it's Atlantic Theater Company.
Speaker 1I know, but it's still not. Broadway.
Speaker 3Okay, off-broadway. Wait, wait, maybe I'm wrong.
Speaker 1Hold your hats.
Speaker 3Hold it. I need to see what's happening here.
Speaker 1She's been on Broadway. She hats to us.
Speaker 3Nope, off-broadway, three times Off-Broadway in Twelfth Night. Oh no, she's going to be in Twelfth Night in 2025 at Shakespeare in the Park.
Speaker 1Oh, next year.
Speaker 3Yeah, then she was in the Welkin year. Yeah, then she was in the welkin and then she was in the vagina.
Speaker 1Monologues off broadway production 1999 holy moly 1999, and then she was in some play. It says I think you weren't even born.
Speaker 3Then she was in satellites, I don't know Interesting. She has not been on Broadway. If I'm wrong, let us know in the comments, but I'm pretty sure I'm right.
Speaker 1Yeah. Anyway, well, if she comes, maybe if she's back in the city, maybe we'll meet her. Maybe, I like her.
Speaker 3Okay, segueing from.
Speaker 1Broadway Okay segueing from.
Wicked Brand Saturation in Marketing
Speaker 3Broadway. Ariana Grande reveals next 10 years of her career will scare the absolute SHIT out of her fans. Wicked's Ariana Grande revealed that the next decade of her career will probably look a little different from the previous 10 years. She says I'm going to say something so scary the singer said on November 6th episode of co-star Bowen Yang's Las Culturistas podcast. I didn't even know he had a podcast.
Speaker 1Yes, I do that because he's my co-star. Oh yeah, true yeah.
Speaker 3She says I'm always going to make music, I'm always going to do pop stuff. I pinky promise, but I don't think doing that at the rate that I've been doing it for the past 10 years is where I see myself the next 10 years, the um. She even said that she got her start on Broadway at age 15 and explained that musical theater is her heart, and working on Wicked reminded her of how much she loves it.
Speaker 1Oh, maybe she'll come back on Broadway.
Speaker 3I think I love acting, I love musical theater, reconnecting with this part of myself who started in musical theater and who loves comedy, and it heals me to do that. Finding roles to use these parts of myself and put them in little homes and characters and bits and voices and songs is what I want to do and it feeds her, a different way than songwriting and talking about her own pain. So she says that she's going to do more of that and she would love to do whatever roles, like anyone sees fit.
Speaker 1Maybe she'll go in Wicked on Broadway, wouldn't that?
Speaker 3be so crazy.
Speaker 1That would be wild. Their ticket sales would go poof.
Speaker 3Not that they need it.
Speaker 1Well, yeah, well still. But can you imagine if she?
Speaker 3went into Wicked on Broadway.
Speaker 1I want to go see that then.
Speaker 3Me too.
Speaker 1See, I want to see that. And that's what would happen if everybody want because she has so many followers, so many fans. Oh my gosh, that place would be. You couldn't get a ticket for that if that happened. I know, I mean, I think that's like honestly and it's such an old show now, but still like, if she did that, that would be like insane.
Speaker 3Well then, why don't they just put both of them in it?
Speaker 1I don't think the other one would Do you. What is she doing? I don't know. She's not from here, isn't she from london? Yeah, but she's been on broadway before, but maybe she's in london, I don't know no they're like they're going around promoting this together.
Speaker 3Pretty much they're like hand in hand well, they have to. That's part of the deal I know, but I'm saying why wouldn't the other one do it too? I don't know I mean, that would even make it more epic, wouldn't you want to see that oh?
Speaker 1yeah, definitely that would be wild Do you see, Okay, let's stay on Wicked for a second.
Speaker 3Yeah, let's do it.
Speaker 1Literally everywhere you go, every brand, every store, every food, toys, doesn't matter what, it's all Wicked.
Speaker 3Yes, it is.
Speaker 1Even in London in the train station, there's a big thing for Wicked Castle or something Like everyone is on Wicked. Like how did they secure all of these paid partnerships for the Wicked brand? Like it's insane. It's everywhere. There's not a company out there who is not producing something for Wicked right now.
Speaker 3I know.
Speaker 1Everything. It's a lot Like even Target. Like everything, Target has commercials. It's crazy. How did they do this?
Speaker 3I mean it's called marketing baby.
Speaker 1This is the best marketing on earth. I'm telling you.
Speaker 3Yeah, everywhere you turn.
Speaker 1Like. Even if you're not like a theater pup or something or a theater human, you will know what wicked is now.
Speaker 2Yes.
Speaker 1Like it's in your food you're eating. There's food, there's drinks, there's toys, there's everything. It's wild Mm-hmm. And Loungefly too. Our friends at Loungeoungefly, too, our friends at Loungefly have it too.
Speaker 3Yes, and Starbuck Nail polish.
Speaker 1Nail, polish OPI Funko toys Like it's wild, it's everywhere.
Speaker 3Everywhere.
Speaker 1Honestly, it's a little much.
Speaker 3I know and, like I just hope that it's not going to.
Speaker 1Ruin it.
Speaker 3Yeah, yeah. I hope that it it lives up to its expectation, because right now it's.
Speaker 1It's over saturation. I feel like they should have just done like A couple of things that are big, like not every single company.
Speaker 3Yeah, like, more like, so it's more Exclusive. Exactly, yeah, tink we speaking and thinking alike, so it's more exclusive.
Speaker 1Yeah, this is making it like I don't know, it's crazy.
Speaker 3They even have a macaroni and cheese.
Speaker 1I told you. You're eating wicked, you're drinking wicked, you're playing with wicked, you're carrying wicked, you're wearing wicked, like what is left that they didn't get. I bet they even have our microphones and headsets. We have on now for this podcast Wicked headsets, I bet. Come on, I swear Tink, it's everywhere. Am I wrong? Listeners, am I right? Especially all of our friends in other countries.
Speaker 2Can you tell us if you're being?
Speaker 1saturated with Wicked, wicked Alpha Blue Tooth Wireless. Told you, told you. Yep, I'm right again, get out of here. No, seriously guys, If you think of anything you could Google wicked. Whatever you're thinking of T-shirt, it'll come up. A wicked microphone will come up. It's the craziest thing, I'm sure. If you Google wicked box of tissues, you could find that too.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1The only thing I haven't seen is stuff for us Toys, wicked toys for pups. Have you seen them yet?
Speaker 3Wicked movie dog toys.
Speaker 1See no they saturated the human market, but not the pup market. Big mistake people.
Speaker 3I see Wizard of Oz stuff, but nothing wicked.
Speaker 1No, rude, rude, big mistake. You forgot us, yep.
Speaker 3Anyway.
Speaker 1Anyway.
Speaker 3That is.
Speaker 1Because that's opening when Next week, two weeks, two weeks, two weeks, the 22nd, yeah, two weeks.
Speaker 3That is Because that's opening when Next week Two weeks, two weeks, two weeks the 22nd yeah.
Speaker 1Two weeks Not yet. Wow, today's only the 8th.
Speaker 3But apparently the premiere in LA is tonight or tomorrow.
Speaker 1Yeah, okay.
Speaker 3I think it's tonight.
Speaker 1They obviously forgot the Pup Market and don't want to be involved with the pup market, because we would have been invited and we would have had toys already. A big thing would have come in the mail as a present. And yeah, just putting it out there, guys, you saturated everything except our market, yeah.
Speaker 3Rude, I would have enjoyed some wicked dog food.
Speaker 1And toys I would have loved it. Dog treats yes, glinda, I would have loved it. Dog treats yes, glinda, I would have played fetch with Glinda all day.
Speaker 3Okay, are we moving on? Yep, okay, so last story we have from this week is Jason Kelsey.
Speaker 1Oh, Jason Kelsey.
Speaker 3Yeah, and the incident at Penn State that, jason.
Speaker 1Kelsey yeah, and the incident at Penn State, that's a problem. He has a temper like his brother.
Speaker 3Yeah, but they also. So. Jason Kelsey reveals biggest regret of Penn State phone smashing incident as Travis weighs in. So they did talk about it on the New Heights podcast this week. Yeah, and he said that he's not happy about the situation and me reacting gave him the time of day and it also gave the situation notoriety. That's what I regret. All right, I didn't deserve attention. It's really stupid. And if I just keep walking, it's a nothing burger. Nobody sees it. So now it's out there and it just perpetuates more hate. The thing that I regret the most is saying that word. To be honest with you, that word he used is just ridiculous. It takes it to another level. It's just off the wall over the line. As a human, it got under my skin and it elicited a reaction in the heat of the moment.
Speaker 1Listen, just buy him a new phone, Jason, get him that iPhone 16. He'll be very happy. What? No, I don't.
Speaker 3Well, I don't think. Well, wait, we'll talk about what he did, because maybe listeners don't know. Oh, we'll talk about what he did, because maybe listeners don't know, oh, oh, and maybe listeners don't know who he is, but Jason Kelsey went into detail about an incident in which he smashed a fan's phone onto the ground after a homophobic slur was used in his direction Saturday while outside Beaver Stadium before the Penn State-Ohio State game.
Speaker 1This is Travis's brother, the queen's boyfriend's brother. Go ahead.
Speaker 3No, that's it.
Speaker 1People might not know. Listen, we only know him because of Travis and the queen. We wouldn't know who he was either, just like we would know. So if you don't know, you don't know. So that's what it is. Yeah, so he smashed his phone Because apparently, allegedly the guy Well, not allegedly, there's a video, it's true.
Speaker 3Well, he smashed his phone because apparently, allegedly, the guy said Well, not allegedly, there's a video, it's true.
Speaker 1I know, but he said something very stupid. The guy was stupid.
Speaker 3He said something about Travis.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 3And like how does it feel that your brother is an F slur dating Taylor Swift? And then it made Jason Crazyason crazy, crazy and he smashed his phone. But then he said who's the f slur now? Yeah, three times yes, and that's when there was a little bit of controversy, although honestly, I personally think like that person if you're gonna, if you're gonna do that and try to like get a reaction out of someone like that and then they actually give you the reaction.
Speaker 1Sorry, like you did that yes, but jason is the famous person and you're supposed to take the high road and yes, I definitely agree that he should have taken the high road. And just buy the guy a new phone. But he asked for it. Yes, the guy asked for it. But the guy obviously did it on purpose. Yeah Right, he riled him up on purpose, won. He won, jason didn't win. The guy won because it worked and it's videoed and it's everywhere. And now who?
Speaker 3Although I don't even know who that the guy is. There's like the guy hasn't done anything.
Speaker 1Well, what's the guy going to do? They can't even find the guy.
Speaker 3Apparently they have no idea who the guy is. They thought it was like a student Nothing.
Speaker 1So it's like just a plant, a setup? No, I don't think it's a setup, but whoever it is like, they don't know where he went. Yeah, he just went, poof, yeah like they don't know who it is what are we in oz? Where'd he go? There's someone out there with a broken phone?
Speaker 3yeah, but apparently I guess he doesn't, maybe he likes it that it's broken? I don't know. Also, I don't know if it's broken. Do you know if it's like he smashed it? Yeah, but he threw it, that it's broken? I don't know. Also, I don't know if it's broken. Do you know if it's like?
Speaker 2he smashed it. He smashed it.
Speaker 3Yeah, but he threw it on the floor. But like, did you actually see? Is it like completely not usable?
Speaker 1I don't know. I just heard they smashed it. So smashed to me means pshh, yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't know. But Jason should have taken the high road. But that shows there's a short fuse circuit there too, and they all have tempers.
Speaker 3He's a little angry, yes, anyway, but that is my pop culture for the day.
Speaker 1Nothing about the queen For the week. What about the queen?
Speaker 3Honestly, there's nothing.
Speaker 1The queen went to the game.
Speaker 3She did go to the game this week on Monday night. Yes, she did the day before election day yes, she did.
Speaker 1I saw her there and everybody was so ridiculous. They were mean to her because they were saying that she was surrounding herself by people that vote differently than her.
Speaker 3Well, what are you supposed to do? Not live your life Exactly differently?
Speaker 1than her. Well, what are you supposed to do? Not live your life Exactly. Everybody has to get along. It doesn't matter who you like or don't like, get along, and she belongs at the games.
Speaker 3And also the game was super stressful. They almost lost. They went into overtime. You fell asleep, belle.
Speaker 1I can't stay, Guys. I know I just turned four.
Speaker 3It's really hard for me to stay away and here I am, a ripe 12, a ripe 12 years old. Yeah um.
Speaker 1You're at 12 and watching your birthday's this month don't talk about it.
Speaker 3Sorry, it is my, my queen birthday, though it's a Swifty birthday, yeah and um yeah. So they went into overtime and then the it even showed Taylor. She was stressed.
Speaker 1She was stressed. She was with Travis's mom and her mom. The three of them are sitting there and they were like, ready, rip their hair out.
Speaker 3Stress, but they made it. They they got that touchdown and it was all good.
Speaker 1Travis lost the ball or something like he missed it and they got intercepted, or something like that. Oh yeah, I saw that, whatever that's called, something along those lines, you guys get it.
Speaker 3Yep.
Speaker 1Yeah, alright, on to the puppy culture.
Speaker 3On to the pup culture, please.
Speaker 1Yeah, this is going to be good Okay.
Speaker 3This is going to be good.
Speaker 1Ready my first story.
Speaker 3I'm ready.
Speaker 1Hold on to your hats, pay attention. Pitbull gives birth to Green Puppy. Family names dog Fiona, in cute nod to the Shrek movies. Look, I'm serious, he's green.
Speaker 3So cute, but he's green, so he's like Elphaba. They should have named him Elphaba.
Speaker 1Well, I guess they like Shrek better.
Speaker 3Okay.
Speaker 1Or Fiona better.
Speaker 3Yeah, but Fiona wasn't born green. Elphaba was born green.
Speaker 2Maybe this is a wicked movie plant Maybe, maybe we should tell them that Fiona wasn't born green.
Speaker 1She got married to be green. Anyway, annalise and her boyfriend Greg helped their pregnant pit bull Pearl give birth to a litter of puppies, and one of the baby dogs had a glow that set her apart from her siblings. The standout pup that Pearl welcomed into the world in Hancock County, mississippi, arrived with the same pink ears and nose as her litter mates, but also a surprising green colored coat. They initially didn't notice the green tinder on the puppy's white coat because the green puppy was born first. So when the second puppy arrived, with white fur like its mother, they realized the first pit bull pup's color was very odd. Why are one of my puppies that my American pit had green, they said, recalling a Google search.
Speaker 1So the pet parent's search led her to information about bilverdin, a natural pigment that can sometimes mix a dog's amniotic fluid. Bilverdin with colors, bile and bruises can stain a pup's fur green in the womb and when it's present in the dog's amniotic fluid. So apparently its combination makes the dogs green if they're white when they're born. But it only happened to one, and it happened before St Patrick's Day, to a golden retriever pup born with green color too, and they named her Shamrock. So don't worry guys, it's temporary, it does fade, but it takes a couple of weeks to fade. But they named her Fiona after the Shrek movie the female in Shrek.
Speaker 1It's temporary. It does fade but it takes a couple of weeks to fade. But they named her Fiona after the Shrek movie the female in Shrek because she's green.
Speaker 3Okay.
Speaker 1There you go, so they're looking for new homes for Fiona and her friends.
Speaker 3Oh.
Colorful Canine Adventures and Loyalty
Speaker 1And she will not remain green forever. But I just thought that was cool, because she really is green Like. She's green Like a turtle Cute yeah. Next story Green, green, green green, Green, green green. I could be green because I was white. I am white.
Speaker 3Yeah, maybe.
Speaker 1Yeah, do you remember when we were in Salem I became blue like a blueberry? Yes, guys, did we tell you that story? I don't. Did we talk about that on the podcast?
Speaker 3I don't know, I don't think so.
Speaker 1No, I think we did, because we did no, no, didn't we talk about it?
Speaker 3like didn't we do the podcast in salem? Spooky, yeah, but wait, I'm like mixing up salem and london, because I remember in london it was spooky because the alarm went off.
Speaker 1Yeah, no, london was wild, that was so much fun.
Speaker 3Did we do the podcast in Salem? No, but did we talk? I think we talked about Blue, I don't know, I don't remember now. Anyway, let us know, because we're losing it.
Speaker 1We're blurring it all together, but literally.
Speaker 3I was blue.
Speaker 1I think we're losing it. I was blueberry bell, so we were in salem. I'll tell this story fast, because if it's a repeat I'm sorry yeah we were in salem and, um, because it's a witch theme, we had this like velvet witch little kind of dress on casual little dress. Yeah, super cute, really cute. And um, when we got back from our day, human took it off and I was blue Blueberry bell and it was the craziest thing ever.
Speaker 2I really there are pictures. There are pictures If you want to see proof email and we will send you a photo of blueberry bell.
Speaker 3I should just put it on stories right now, yeah, blueberry bell, so that everyone can just go and they'll see, there are photos.
Speaker 1And there was no bathtub, only a shower. So human grabbed me and threw me in the sink and had to use so many shampoos and wash me. It took so long to get the blue out, but thank goodness it came out Anyway. So I feel you, fiona Shrek doggy, because I was Blueberry Belle, blueberry Belle, anyway. Next story A blind dog protects rescue volunteer from rattlesnake encounter. That would not have ended well, rattlesnake, yeah, one of those. Is that the right sound?
Speaker 3I think so.
Speaker 1Okay, good, I did it.
Speaker 3Blueberry Bell.
Speaker 1Moogin, the rescue dog, is a hero. The singer pup is available for adoption in Utah. He has a degenerative eye condition, known as suddenly acquired retinal degeneration, which makes him blind. Because of his condition he's totally blind, but did not stop him from protecting his friend Dan, a local. Sorry guys, are you okay? I'm sorry, I'm thinking of being blue again, sorry, so anyway. So his friend Dan is a volunteer at the shelter that he belongs to.
Speaker 1I do four morning shifts a week and since I'm a regular, I am able to take out the dogs who require a relationship to be able to interact. I am trained at the highest level, meaning I can work with almost any kind and all dogs. He started walking Mugen during his shifts soon after the dog moved to the sanctuary. His eyes were a bit better back then. He was extreme puller on his walks and required two hands on the leash. Friendly, always got excited when it was time for his walk. The 11-year-old is now considered blind as he can only see shadowy shapes, but that was enough for Mugen to spot a camouflaged rattlesnake on a walk. The 11-year-old is now considered blind as he can only see shadowy shapes, but that was enough for Mugen to spot a camouflaged rattlesnake on a walk this past year.
Speaker 1We were walking on the main dog trails. I was focused on watching Mugen. The rattler was coiled tightly and very well camouflaged. Mugen started pulling to the right and as I looked down he was preparing to explore the snake. Ooh, had Mugen not noticed the snake, there's a good chance I would have stumbled onto it, which would have not ended well. So Fishbeam spotted the snake. Mugen pointed out to him before anything serious happened. The volunteer had enough time to pull Mugen away from the rattlesnake. The pair reported the snake sighting to the sanctuary's headquarters. Some staff are trained as snake handlers and, being a no-kill sanctuary, they captured and relocated the snake. So long story short, mugen might be blind, but his senses are intact, 100% Saving this man. Look at, this is Mugen. I wouldn't mess with Mugen.
Speaker 3Wow.
Speaker 1Yeah, so that's that story.
Speaker 3Hardcore.
Speaker 1Yeah. And this third story for our pop culture today? Yeah, Will be. And this third story for our pop culture today will be man says he won't give up dog who sleeps in bed with him for his new girlfriend. She thinks my dog is jealous. So we kind of did a story like this last week because Prince has hisggie in the bed. Remember the cockle?
Speaker 1story yeah, yeah, so this is another story that has come up from this whole controversy of sleeping in bed with humans, which we do. So, whatever A man says, he will not give up his habit of letting his dog sleep in bed just to appease his live-in girlfriend. What? In a post to Reddit, the anonymous man writes his girlfriend moved in recently and that his dog has been beside me for seven years, since she was 12 weeks old. So far, the girlfriend and the dog aren't getting along as roommates.
Speaker 2Uh-oh.
Speaker 1She pushed my dog at his chest with two hands the other night and gets a little angry about him sleeping in bed. The man said At first it was about the hair.
Speaker 1So I washed a ton of sheets, blankets, pillowcases, and have backups and to have a sheet always over the bed that we use. He continues I don't like her being aggressive to my dog and I find it a turn-off. She thinks my dog is jealous and don't like her being aggressive to my dog and I find it a turnoff. She thinks my dog is jealous and doesn't like her. I think she's being dramatic and I absolutely will get rid of her before him.
Speaker 3Yep, so that's a bad sign, honestly.
Speaker 1Yeah, exactly that's not a good person, yep. So long story short get rid of her now, because it's not gonna end better.
Speaker 3Yeah, okay, down the trash chute.
Speaker 1And I know this is not pop culture, but because you know I'm obsessed with Mudang, yeah and Mudang's cheeks.
Speaker 3Mudang culture, hippoculture, I love.
Speaker 1Mudang and loves his cheeks. So now meet Haggis, the latest baby pygmy hippo, ready to win over the internet. So apparently, this dog, this hippo, is born in the Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland and it wants to be as popular as Mudang, edinburgh. Yeah, but it looks too dark. Exactly, Not pink cheeks. It might be a pygmy, but it's not Mudang and you it doesn't look as slippery. No, I know you're in Scotland and you're named Haggis, which is really cute. Yeah, because it does look like, isn't Haggis? Like a sausage or something? Yeah, but you're not Mudang because you don't have the colored cheeks and all. Yeah, sorry. So welcome to the world. However, you will not take Mudang's place in my world, 100%. Yeah, I love Mudang. Guys, you're following Mudang. Mudang's the best.
Speaker 1They have songs, they have clothes, they have everything Mudang Mudang is very funny If you ever watch him.
Speaker 3He's really funny, If anyone didn't know, Belle's a little obsessed with Mudang.
Speaker 1Yes, I wanted to be Mudang for Halloween, but I got to be Beetlejuice instead. Yes, you did. Yeah, so that's the end of my pop culture and hippo pygmy culture for today's episode. Okay, yeah, thank you. Yeah, that's it.
Speaker 3Thank you for that culture.
Speaker 1Yeah.
