Hi, I'm.
Speaker 1Tinkerbell the dog, and I'm her little sister, belle, and this is our podcast.
Speaker 2Fierce fabulous fluff Talking about stuff Gossip Pups. Fierce fabulous fluff Talking about stuff Gossip Pups. Happy Friday everyone.
Speaker 3I'm Tinkerbell.
Speaker 1And I'm Belle, and welcome to Gossip Pups. Season 2, episode 44.
Speaker 3Season 2, episode 44. Cuarenta y cuatro.
Speaker 1Cuarenta y cuatro. Cuarenta y cuatro, wait, cuarenta y cuatro.
Speaker 3Cuarenta y cuatro, cuarenta y cuatro, wait Cuarenta y cuatro, also known as 95. Yeah.
Speaker 1Well, we did it. Happy Farideh everyone.
Speaker 3We're here. We made it, we made it.
Speaker 1What a week it has been.
Speaker 3It's been a wild week.
Speaker 1Yeah, we promised we would do this and get to it on Friday, friday, friday. And here we are, even if I needed a little snooze. Yeah, tinka was exhausted. She needed to snooze. Okay, because I'm going to tell you why I'm going to banter, but all I have to say is hope you all had a great Halloween.
Speaker 3I hope you all had the best Halloween and got all the candy that you wanted. Yeah, I'm having something right now, all the sweets.
Speaker 1Delicious.
Speaker 3You are.
Speaker 1Gummy Yummy Good. I wonder if you all had a lot of trick-or-treaters.
Speaker 3I know.
Speaker 1We kind of missed Halloween. I forgot it already happened. Because we just keep going.
Speaker 3I know how you feeling, tinker, I'm just pooped.
Speaker 1Yeah, I feel. Ya, I'm poop-a-duped, I'm a poop too, but I'm going. I'm poop-a-duped, I'm a poop too, but I'm going. Here we go, let's banter for episode 44 for season two. Yes, so what happened this crazy week for us.
Speaker 2Well.
Speaker 1Well, first, of course, we had spa day, a much needed spa day, fabulous. I was very grateful for it, me too.
Speaker 3Came out fluffy and fierce and fabulous.
Speaker 1That was right. And then, oh, we secured a great fun social media partnership. Can't wait for us to do that one. We had two auditions. One of them they decided to cancel and the other one they decided to go with the owner's dog. Could you imagine how rude?
Speaker 3They wanted a freebie.
Speaker 1Freebie, Like what the heck? There's no social media partnerships or influencers that are professional actors. We'll get the word out If we do a job. That word spreads. Anyway, moving on, we drove four hours away up to the Williams Inn in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Yes, so it is the Berkshires which is the country no, not the country.
Speaker 1The cranky country no but this was not the part of the cranky country, this was the happy country part. So I'm glad we went back to the country because I thought it was all cranky country, but apparently it was only that area country, but apparently it was only that area. And the people at the hotel or the inn told us they're like, oh, you were in that part of the Berkshires. And I was like, yeah, exactly that's how we felt. We never wanted to go back. So I'm glad we got to experience the happy part of the country. It was really nice. It's four hours in a drive. Um, we got there and it was. It's so clean and it's three floors, three stories, has a restaurant, has a gym and it's like this brand new hotel. They call it it an inn. I don't know why.
Speaker 3I guess because it's only three stories.
Speaker 1But isn't that more like a hotel? Isn't an inn like really tiny?
Speaker 3No, I think an inn is like a motel, but I think it's classier to call it an inn. This is classy Wait what classifies a hotel versus an inn Versus an inn?
Speaker 1yeah, and shout out to Megan the manager Love you, megan, you were the best. She hooked us up. We got to the room. It was beautiful. We had so many presents foods, treats, toys, waters and guys. It was boxed water. So much better than other water. It's so good, the boxed water I literally drank for two minutes straight. I could not stop drinking it. It was delicious. Tingles like bell, you're gonna take a break. Yeah, anyway, the fall foliage. It was the most perfect time to drive to the country Noi, because the fall foliage wow, the colors, the vibrant colors were beautiful.
Speaker 3All right. Do you want to hear the difference between a hotel and an inn?
Speaker 1Oh sure.
Speaker 3So hotels are typically found in high travel areas, while inns serve a more leisurely crowd and are often found off of highways. Some inns are more immersed in nature than hotels, and even motels. Those are found surrounded by hiking trails. That's it Lakes, mountains, rivers, national forests.
Speaker 1And a college.
Speaker 3Yeah, and it also says how. It also depends on the size, amenities and atmosphere. So hotels are usually larger than inns and have more rooms. Inns may be a single building with one or two levels, while hotels may have multiple floors.
Speaker 1This was three levels.
Speaker 3Oh.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 3Then it says how hotels offer a wide range of amenities, including restaurant, fitness center, conference rooms.
Speaker 1This has all the above. We went to a conference room where they do weddings and everything Okay well inns are often more quaint and cozy and offer a more personalized service. Yeah, I would say that, Hotels are more formal and impersonal. Yeah, that's accurate. I guess that's what classifies it as an inn. Is the personalization.
Speaker 3And inns are often located in rural areas or small towns. Well, what is that was true?
Speaker 1that's it yes, that is true. It was so far north, we were almost in vermont and there was a ski resort um like 10 minutes jiminy peaks, jiminy peak. Yeah, we passed that too jiminy crickets jiminy something ski place, I don't know. I don't know. I didn't want to go skiing.
Speaker 3Oh no.
Speaker 1What else? So we got there. We did all of our hotel work. We also had breakfast in bed every day.
Speaker 3It was fabulous Delish.
Speaker 1We walked through Williamstown. It was so nice. A lot of little coffee shops and college. We walked all the way to the college.
Speaker 2It was so pretty there campus.
Speaker 1So what else? While we were there, the Yankees lost the World Series, but they deserved to lose. Honestly, what was that? I could catch the balls better.
Speaker 3It was a rough week to watch. If you're a Yankee fan, yeah.
Speaker 1It was crazy.
Speaker 3We to watch if you're a Yankee fan.
Speaker 1Yeah, it was crazy. We stayed up all night Disappointing.
Speaker 3We stayed up all night. Stayed up all night Watch that ball get thrown and hit and dropped, and dropped, and dropped and dropped.
Speaker 1We were supposed to come back from the country today, but we had this, this amazing opportunity, yeah. So then we had to tell them we were coming home yesterday, so we drove home on halloween on halloween, missing halloween four hours. Got home last night we had to have a bath because we were countrified, if you call it countrified. We were countrified so we needed to have a quick bath. And then we had to get up at 5.30 this morning because we were invited to kick off the holiday season at Macy's.
Speaker 3Before it opened at 8 am. Well, no, yeah, it opened at 10. Yeah, we were there before it opened at 8 am. 8 am. Well, no, yeah, it opened at 10. Yeah.
Speaker 1We were there before it opened at 8 am. 8 am it was so much fun. There were Christmas carolers there, we wore some holiday festive sweaters and so much to do. They have this whole new urban. What is it called Urban shop Tinky? What's it called Urban? What Urban? What is it called Urban shop Tinky? What's it called Urban? What Urban it's called.
Speaker 3Urban Stores, urban Space.
Speaker 1Urban Space. So there's all these little, not vendors, but all these little places. So it's like if you went to like Bryant Park Outdoor Market, but it's indoors in Macy's. It's so cool because it's like you could buy Christmas ornaments and have them personalized. You can buy some presents, jewelry, it's all different artists and food. Oh my gosh. Okay, we had to talk. They're not called donuts. What were those called Bambinos?
Speaker 3Bambinos I can check, hold on so.
Speaker 1They Bomba noser I can check, hold on so they were these giant looking donuts the most beautiful things I've ever seen and they had all decorations on top of them. But they're not donuts. And one had Nutella in it, one had, each one had pistachio. Everything had a different filling.
Speaker 3Yeah, I'm trying to see.
Speaker 1And they were like bono or something, something crazy, but I've never seen anything like it. Then they had these waffle, like chips, that they dipped in all kinds of flavoring.
Speaker 3Okay, so those were called Wondering Stroop Waffles.
Speaker 1Stroop Waffles. Oh, the waffle things. Yeah, yeah those were really good. Stroop Waffles, stroop Waffles, delicious waffles oh, the waffle things. Yeah, yeah, those were really good. Soup waffles, soup waffles, delicious Wow, guys, you have to check it out. So it's all these little cool food vendors, holiday themed, and then all of these cool like artisan shops, like really cool, and you know what else was there which was really fun for us.
Speaker 3What I know what you're going to say Cookies, yes, what cookies? Crumbles, crumble cookies.
Speaker 1Crumble cookies was there and they did a whole photo shoot with us. We had pink glasses that said crumble on them and it's so cool. And they made a signature Macy's holiday donut. They're called donuts. I mean donut Cookie, a signature holiday cookie for Macy's that you can only buy in Macy's on the fourth floor, was that, or the fifth floor?
Bambaloni vs. Donuts
Speaker 1So what happens is when you go in the main doors there's the holiday area all on level one and a half, but then on every floor they have more as you get off the elevator. So it goes to nine and then you have on five and on four and on three and I think what's the cookies on four or five? Do you remember Tink Five, five, yeah. So you get off the elevator, go to the right. It's there. They were waiting for us. We got off the elevator and they're like yay, here they come, tinkerbell and bella here and we did a little shoot with them and it was just really cool and they're going to be swarmed busy because nothing is near there and those are very popular cookies, but uh-huh um what else?
Speaker 3so I found out what it's called oh, those cool donuts.
Speaker 1What are they? Because they're not called donuts bomb alone italian donut bomb alone. I call them bombinos, bomb alone.
Speaker 3Well, guys, go check it out that's what you're gonna want to eat is a bomb alone at macy's so what's the difference between a bombolone and a donut?
Speaker 1I don't know.
Speaker 3Bombolones are bigger. Bombolones take longer to make because of the leavening process, which makes them airier and fluffier.
Speaker 1Oh, like leavening, like a raising rising, oh leavening, yeah, yeah, like rising up, I get it, I get it.
Speaker 3Bambaloni are often filled with sweet creams, fruit preserves or other fillings, while donuts are not typically filled.
Speaker 2No.
Speaker 3Bambaloni originated in Tuscany, Italy.
Speaker 1Yeah, and Bambalonis are the bomb. They are huge and beautiful. Everybody was eating them. They loved them. Yeah, bumbalonis, guys, check it out, it's on floor 1.5. You'll never see anything like it. We approached it and I was like Wait, what is that? It was crazy, yeah, I was like what is that deliciousness? That's why we came home from the country early, because we had to be at Macy's.
Speaker 3Yes, when Macy's calls, and guys. The pups answer.
Speaker 1We didn't get any sleep.
Speaker 3No sleep.
Speaker 1So we went from Macy's, and then here we are.
Speaker 3No sleep.
Speaker 1Yeah, here we are. After this, I would like to take a nap, tink, okay.
Speaker 3Yeah, okay, sounds good to me.
Speaker 1Yeah, so that was our crazy week. I don't know what's happening next week yet, but day by day we find out, inch by inch, foot by foot. Ha ha.
Speaker 3Yes.
Speaker 1So that's it for Banter for the Week. Hope you all had a fabulous Halloween. Can't wait to hear what you dressed up, as I hope you liked our Belle Juice, beetle Juice and Lydia costumes. And everybody thinks only I had a wig on. Tink has a wig on too.
Speaker 3Yeah, I do have a wig on.
Speaker 1Yeah, tink like they think that's your weird black kind of hair. I was like guys.
Speaker 3Tink has a wig. Yeah, I had a Lydia wig on.
Speaker 1Wig. Yeah, it's a Lydia wig. I don't understand why they don't know. You have a wig on too.
Speaker 3I guess because it's not as drastic as yours, belle, well, no.
Speaker 1Mine's on fire. Yeah, beetlejuice, you say it three times Bellejuice, bellejuice, bellejuice.
Speaker 3I can't.
Speaker 1Yeah, my wig was like a human having coffee in the morning. It would just wake you up.
Speaker 3Completely.
Speaker 1It was great. We had fun, even though we were on a four hour drive home and got thrown in a bath last night.
Speaker 3Insanity yeah. But, we're here and we're doing it.
Speaker 1Yep, all right, here we go. Should we go on to pop culture, tink?
Speaker 3Pop culture.
Speaker 1Pop away Tinker.
Speaker 3Yes, I guess we're Popping Pop culture it up.
Speaker 1Popping, pop culture, it up Popping.
Speaker 3So Taylor Swift? She has not wasted any time and has re-released Christmas Tree Farm just after. Halloween.
Speaker 1Yeah, Woof, woof woof, woof, woof.
Speaker 3She released her 2019 holiday tune Christmas Tree Farm on Friday, the day after Halloween. We're already in the holiday spirit. The pop star's Taylor Nation account declared on X, alongside a link to stream a newly compiled EP featuring all three versions of the song. The collection includes the original track, the live recording from the 2019 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Wait, wait, wait, no.
Speaker 1I wasn't there.
Speaker 3You were there. I was at yeah.
Speaker 1I wasn't born yet. That's weird.
Speaker 3You were at. No, I wasn't, oh, I was at.
Speaker 1You were there, I was at. Yeah, I wasn't born yet. Yeah, you weren't born yet. That's weird and the art I had to tell them we passed a real Christmas tree farm in the country. Oh, yeah, you did. Yeah, yeah, we did. Wow it was beautiful, it was the most beautiful thing, and we started. We started singing the Christmas Tree Farm song. Okay, sorry, go ahead, tink.
Speaker 3And then also the orchestral old-timey version, which was first released as an Amazon Music exclusive in 2021. In response to a fan who asked whether it was too early to listen to Christmas Tree Farm Taylor Nation replied with the lyrics literally never, because in my heart is a Christmas Tree Farm where the people would come to dance under sparkling lights, bund up in their mittens and coats, and the cider would flow.
Speaker 1And I just want to be there tonight exactly, and when you see a Christmas tree farm in person, we just wanted to stop and get out of the car. It was the most huge, beautiful thing I've ever seen.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1It was so cool? Yes, because in New York all you see are chopped down trees that are propped up on the corner on a piece of wood for you to buy. This was real, like I've never seen Taylor's Farm.
Speaker 2I call it.
Speaker 1Taylor's Farm. You know, I don't know, it's real name.
Speaker 3It's a. I think it was a farm in Pennsylvania, wherever she lived.
Speaker 1No, yeah, but where we went was in Massachusetts.
Speaker 3Oh, what that is?
Speaker 1yeah, I call it Taylor's Farm Okay.
Speaker 3Yeah, isn't that like a salad company or something?
Speaker 1Taylor's Farm Taylor Farms.
Speaker 3It is. I thought so.
Speaker 1I don't know, never heard of that. Never heard of that but I love that christmas tree song I love that it's so good, it's so fun, it's so perfect x. It's really great maybe she'll make it like mariah carey song, where it'll become like a staple, a holiday staple. It's a holiday staple for us. I guess, yeah, it is Tink. Come on, we play it.
Speaker 3It definitely is a staple, but I don't know if it's like do you think that it's as popular as some other? I don't know.
Speaker 1No, it's not as boppy as Mariah.
Speaker 3It's a swifty staple.
Speaker 1Yeah, it's a little calmer, but I think it's a staple.
Speaker 3Yeah, yeah, I think so.
Speaker 1Go Taylor.
Speaker 3Hardcore, hardcore Christmas.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Netflix Conflict With Martha Stewart
Speaker 3Okay, are we moving on to our next story? Okay, our next story comes with. Sorry, losing it here. It's about Martha Stewart. So Martha Stewart leaves Netflix pissed after she trashes new film flew private jet to premiere. There's buzz in the film world that Netflix ain't so happy with Martha Stewart after the domestic diva dared to slam her upcoming documentary Martha, which is out today, by the way.
Speaker 1Hold on. Didn't she watch the editing before it was released?
Speaker 3Well, here we go. Adding to the awkward situation, we hear the streaming service flew Stewart via private jet to the film's premiere at the Telluride Film Festival.
Speaker 1Where's that?
Speaker 3Colorado Teletubbies. No, as you can imagine, netflix is pissed, says a source to Page Six. The insider added Martha was seen arriving and departing in Colorado via private jet of Netflix and the rep for Stewart did not comment and Netflix didn't get back to us. The controversy kicked off after the film debuted and Stewart called the doc lazy and not the story that makes me me. At a subsequent business event and then during a Q&A with the Daily Beast Joanna Coles at a diner for CEOs diner I think it's dinner, but not a diner for CEOs Diner.
Speaker 1I think it's dinner, but not a diner?
Speaker 3Yeah, I would think dinner. They definitely spelled it wrong.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 3At a dinner for CEOs on September 10th. Uh-oh, stuart reportedly said that the documentary's director, rj Cutler, refused to change anything.
Speaker 1Oh, so she was involved, but he refused. So it is what it is, because of him.
Speaker 3And then she said I try not to talk publicly about the things I don't like as it's not good business, she allegedly said during the discussion with Coles, but I can talk a little bit badly about that. She quipped of the film. It's more about my stupid trial, which was so unfair.
Speaker 1Well, they were making an example of her.
Speaker 3I don't know.
Speaker 1Yeah, so.
Speaker 3Martha Stewart also alleged that with the doc she had a collaboration contract, but said the filmmaker wouldn't change anything when she objected to the movie's second half covering her legal saga.
Speaker 1So why is Netflix mad at her? They should be mad at him.
Speaker 3I don't know.
Speaker 1Maybe they just wanted to make her look bad.
Speaker 3Maybe she said, she also objected to the way the appearance of former Manhattan US attorney and FBI director, james Comey, was handled in the film. Interesting what does that mean?
Speaker 1I don't know. We'll have to watch. I don't know if I want to watch. I don't know if Martha will be happy if we watch it and we see her in December. She's going to be like did you watch that? And what are we going to say? Like, are we supposed to? Are we not supposed to? I don't.
Speaker 3What's the protocol here, Tink? Are we supposed to watch?
Speaker 1it Guide me in the right direction.
Speaker 3I don't know, but it's on Netflix.
Speaker 1Well, okay.
Speaker 3so if we watch it, we'll say no she also suggested that she might get another crack at telling her story, because Netflix has already asked me to do. Asked me if I do another one Wait, but who knows? But one Wait, but if she's mad at them.
Speaker 1Why would they have her do another one? I'm confused.
Speaker 3Yeah, I'm really confused. This article is not really confusing. We're running circles.
Speaker 1This article was having too much diner dinner and they got a little confused with their drinky winky.
Speaker 3Yeah, that's very confusing.
Speaker 1Yes, that's contradictory article. Okay well.
Speaker 3Netflix is mad at her, but then they're offering to do another one.
Speaker 1Yeah, we'll do another one. But what is the other one going to be? The same thing, but a different version. I'm confused.
Speaker 3It doesn't make any sense.
Speaker 1No, well, I guess, if we watch it, which I kind of, want to.
Speaker 3We just don't say we watched it, or do we? I don't know? I guess we can try it. Okay, if we have nothing else to watch, we still need to watch Only Murders in the Building finale. Oh yeah.
Speaker 1We didn't see the finale, but that's the wedding, but Martha's really nice.
Speaker 3Always nice to us. Yeah, what a classy lady.
Speaker 1Classy and caring, and 800 times she must have said are your ears OK?
Speaker 3Are your ears OK to?
Speaker 1us last December.
Speaker 3Yeah, but also like she doesn't have to be nice.
Speaker 1No, she doesn't have to be, and everybody likes to pretend she's not nice, but she really is the nicest.
Speaker 3Mm, hmm.
Speaker 1Yeah, and caring Human.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1And her granddaughter, and her granddaughter.
Speaker 3Yeah, like everyone is so chill.
Speaker 1Mmm, delicious, I'm thirsty.
Speaker 3Yeah, same.
Speaker 1Alright, same story moving on.
Speaker 3I guess we're moving on. Moving on Shake it up, Tink I wanted to talk about some celebrity, um celebrity Halloween costumes.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, let's do that Well, because you all know we were Bell Juice, yes, and.
Speaker 3Lydia, yes, and then there are some other costumes that we can go over. Did you see, heidi?
Speaker 1Klum and her husband were like ET.
Speaker 3Yes, I saw that.
Speaker 1Like that's just someone who has a million dollars and doesn't I mean, come on.
Speaker 3It was like like seriously it looked like literally just the movie, like it was yeah, but like I don't understand why that is like I don't know it looked literally like it was on the ride at universal. You know the et ride. Yeah, exactly, I don't know, it looked literally like it was on the ride at Universal. Yeah, the ET ride. Yeah, exactly, I don't know. I wasn't that impressed because I just was confused.
Speaker 1It was Halloween, it wasn't like Universal Amusement Park, it was like too much. I was like what are you guys doing? That's not a Halloween costume. A Halloween costume is a costume that you could walk around, trick-or-treat, do all that fun stuff. That's different. That's like a I don't even know. I don't even know. They could hardly walk. They had them propped up and they dropped the curtain in front of them and there they were.
Speaker 3I know, because they couldn't walk on the carpet.
Speaker 1Mr and Mrs ET, I know they couldn't walk so I was like what's the point of this costume? It was so weird. Yeah, they propped him up. They propped him up behind the curtain and then ripped the curtain down.
Speaker 3I was like come on, it's like too much, it's silly. I was like what a waste of like.
Speaker 1A million dollars. It was a million dollars, like, come on, and then they stood for the photographers to take their picture. And then what? Hold on, we can't move. Put the curtain back up.
Speaker 3Yeah, come on. They didn't go to the party, did they?
Speaker 1Well, they couldn't have gone in that outfit. They couldn't go to the party, did they? Well, they couldn't have gone in that outfit.
Speaker 3They couldn't move. You cannot tell me that they were partying in that outfit.
Speaker 1No, because they couldn't walk. They couldn't.
Speaker 3I don't know why, but that party seems like it would be the worst.
Speaker 1I think I would hate it. I would be so bored.
Speaker 3Because I feel like it's hyped up so much that it's probably not that great. No, it's hyped up so much that it's probably like not that great.
Speaker 1No, it's hyped up, but it's also like you don't know who's who, because they spend a bazillion dollars on their outfits and it's like everybody's trying to outdo each other and it's like that's not Halloween.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1That's not fun.
Speaker 3So, strange.
Speaker 1That's just having excess amount of money and making costumes.
Speaker 3Okay, we like fun, yeah, that making the costumes Okay, we like fun. Yeah, that was the weirdest.
Speaker 1Okay, everybody drop the curtain. Boom, there they are. Yay, mr and Mrs ET.
Speaker 2Yay.
Speaker 1You look like ET.
Speaker 2Anyway.
Speaker 3Some other celebs that were noted were Jennifer Garner. She recreated a scene from her 2004 rom-com 13 Going on 30, even wearing the iconic dress and necklace her character wore to her work party.
Speaker 1Yeah, I saw that so cute.
Speaker 3I never saw the movie, but that was good. Wait, excuse me.
Speaker 1Well Tink, I'm only three.
Speaker 3You never saw 13 going on 30?.
Speaker 1How could I? It came out like 25 years ago.
Speaker 3Oh my gosh, Listen, it's your phone 20 years ago. Oh, 20? Yeah, it was 2004.
Speaker 1Okay well whatever I'm only three. Okay, we'll watch it. Put well, whatever I'm only three, okay, we'll watch it. Put it on the list.
Speaker 3Gotta put it on the list.
Speaker 1Put it on the list of a thousand movies that I've got to try to catch up with you.
Speaker 3Seriously, haven't seen it.
Speaker 1Tink. Did we ever watch that?
Speaker 3Jennifer Garner doing Thriller Thriller. Oh my goodness, no, okay, well.
Speaker 1Do you know? They did Thriller last night in the whole city in the parade in New York City.
Speaker 3They did. Thriller coming down the street. Yeah, saw that. Yeah, halle Bailey, the Little Mermaid star, paid tribute to Halle Berry by wearing an orange bikini she famously wore during when she portrayed Jinx in the James Bond film Die Another Day.
Speaker 1That was a good copy costume yeah.
Speaker 3And then the Chloe Bailey. She was Jessica Rabbit.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, I saw that too.
Speaker 3Paris Hilton was Britney Spears in Baby One More Time music video.
Speaker 1Yeah, that was good.
Speaker 3And I think you saw Selena and Benny Blanco as Alice and the Mad Hatter. That was good too. That was a good one.
Speaker 1Yeah, but see, it's not like ET and Mrs. They could walk in their costumes, they could function and enjoy wearing them. I like that one too. Selena did good. I want to see Selena going to be on her TV series the Waverly Place. I want to see that.
Speaker 3Yeah, it's out already. Yeah, oh, it is Mm-hmm. Oh gosh. And you know who else was ET? Janelle Monae, she, what? How many ET? Ets were at this?
Speaker 1party, not at the party, but she just did it too, on the internet. Wait, was her ET outfit as preposterous as theirs?
Speaker 3Yes, look at the list of people that were a part of making this photo.
Speaker 1Oh my gosh, even professional photographers. Oh wait, can I just see that picture? Is that only the top of et? Like her bottom is still exposed like I don't know, but like I don't get it. Oh no, she's full et too. Why would you want to be? That's odd, I don't know. If that ET came to my dorm, rang the bell, I'd be like whoa call the cops. Yeah, I would be afraid of that if it rang my bell.
Speaker 3Me too.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 3I'm looking at some others here.
Speaker 1Tink would just keep barking at it.
Speaker 3Oh yeah, I would.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, that was a good one, though. Selena, selena's good, I like her.
Speaker 3I'm a fan.
Speaker 1Yeah, I'm a Selena fan. Yeah, wow, yeah.
Speaker 3Kim Kardashian was albino alligator. What's that? It's an alligator, that's albino.
Speaker 1Was what's that? It's an alligator. That's albino. Was she at the party too, the weirdo?
Speaker 3No, I don't think so.
Speaker 1Oh, what was I going to say? Did you see what's her name? The daughter.
Speaker 3You mean the sisters Kardashian, daughter Kendall and Kylie? No Northwest, yeah, what was she?
Speaker 1Like a. She and all her friends were like Disney princesses or something.
Speaker 3Oh they were Mm-hmm, that's like basic yeah.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 3I didn't see that, but nothing else. Really, I'm not really impressed actually with most.
Speaker 1Northwest. I'm impressed with ours, but then a lot of people ended up being ours because the Today Show Al Roker was our Beetlejuice, and so was Kelly Clarkson.
Speaker 3So many people were Beetlejuice and Lydia Wild, yeah it was a lot. It's okay though.
Speaker 1And happy November 1st. I forgot to say that.
Speaker 3Oh yeah, we said it's going to be November. This is it.
Speaker 1This is it. I said I hope you had a good Halloween, but I forgot to say Two months until the new year. Happy November 1st. This is crazy. Yeah, crazy November 1st. We celebrated Christmas this morning with Macy's. It's so crazy, I know. Anyway, we're moving on to the pup world.
Speaker 3I think we are moving on to pup culture.
Dogs' Top Names and Rescue Stories
Speaker 1All right, here we go. First story. Ready for this? Hold on to your hats, tink, I don't think I'm ready. Max is finally dethroned as the most popular dog name after years at the top.
Speaker 3And I know what it is Bella.
Speaker 1I'm not saying anything. Can you let me read this story? Max is no longer the top dog. American Kennel Club says it determines the top 10 names for female and male dogs. Mm-hmm says it determines the top 10 names for female and male dogs. So in 2022 and 2023, the top male dog name was Max, but now the popular names reign as number one. It's over. According to the AKC findings, milo is now the most common name among male dogs. Milo, yes, and it's jumping from fifth place in 2023. Max fell one spot to number two. So there you go Max is out. I never knew of dogs named Max, did you?
Speaker 3I don't know one dog named Max or Milo Me either.
Speaker 1That's odd, Anyway. So here we go. Top 10 female dog names for 2024. Drum roll Number one is Luna.
Speaker 3Oh.
Speaker 1Never heard of a Luna dog. I know a Luna cat. I know a Luna bird Dog.
Speaker 3But I think that Luna is definitely very popular.
Speaker 1Number two is Bella, I know, followed by Daisy, lucy, willow, stella, maggie, sadie, lola and Rosie. Oh, now, to me none of those seem very common. Yeah, none they must be common in other states that they polled because not here in New York?
Speaker 3I don't think.
Speaker 1So here we go on to the boys' names Milo, Max, Teddy, Charlie, Cooper, Bear, Toby, Finn, Tucker and Ollie oh, you heard of any of these guys?
Speaker 3I don't know any dogs named any of those.
Speaker 1Interesting. Hey, casey, you got to poll us next time. We don't know those names. But peace out, max, you're down, all right, interesting, yeah, interesting you. Interesting, you notice our names aren't on there. I mean, a version of mine is sort of on there, but why aren't our names on there?
Speaker 3Because we're original.
Speaker 1I guess so Well, I don't know Whatever. Okay, moving on, Senior dog found stranded in canal with almost no chance of survival recovers and gets the best life. Oh my, A senior dog has found her forever home after being rescued from the middle of a canal in Arizona. Okay, first you have to look at this photo, Then I will explain what's happening.
Speaker 3I'm so confused.
Speaker 1Dorothea is a 10-year-old Chihuahua mix. She was brought to safety by Arizona Humane Society after being found on top of a shopping cart submerged in the water. So that's a shopping cart that she found and was able to hang on and lay on top of it so she wasn't submerged and trying to stay afloat. It's an incredible story of resilience and survival. Dorothy looks really big for a chihuahua. It's a chihuahua mix, so who knows what it's mixed with? It's yeah, so anyway, the Phoenix Fire Department said that the dog would have had no chance of survival. The pooch is now living her best life with her forever family in Youngtown, arizona.
Speaker 1Dorothea's rescues dispatchers were alerted to a dog in distress by a Samaritan who spotted her stuck in the middle of a canal, laying on top of a shopping cart. The shelter added that knowing time was of the essence and the Phoenix Fire Team then arrived on scene, quickly devised a plan to save the pup, using a ladder and various rescue devices to get her up to safety. The sweet senior pup was all tailwags when she finally got to shore. She was scared but open to receiving help.
Speaker 1Dorothea was given a quick medical assessment in the pet ambulance, where she was found to be dehydrated, hungry, covered in ticks, a bit stinky from the canal water Ew, what Confirming, she was taken then to the Animal Foundation Trauma Hospital for more exam. Look, that's her Terrible. The pooch was in great health, given the circumstances Adding that she was treated for minor injuries as well as having some dental work to remove a couple of fractured teeth. She was probably trying to hold on with her mouth too, poor doggie. She enjoys cuddles and attention from people and was treated to a spa day with a groomer before moving to her new family.
Speaker 1Well, at least she's okay now. Yeah, it's not known how long or why she was there in the canal, but it's an incredible story, they say. I hope it wasn't that long. Yeah, there she is All better. I mean that's crazy. If you see this picture, there's nothing near her and the ledges are like 10 feet above, so she has no way to get out. Thank goodness someone spotted her Moving on.
Speaker 3That's a wild and crazy story. Wild, I don't want to be on the shopping cart, but at least they say oh, my goodness.
Speaker 1My last story. Learn a valuable lesson from this corgi who ate 15 toxic chocolates Keep Halloween candy away from your pets.
Speaker 2Oh.
Speaker 1No one wants to spend Halloween in the waiting room of an emergency animal hospital. So take notes from Loki the Welsh Corgi's experience. With the help of his brother Carson, the pooch got into a bag of Reese's peanut butter cups, scarfed down 15 of them before his pet parents found out. When they discovered the empty bag of chocolate candies they suspected Curious, loki was the one to make them disappear and rushed him to the veterinary specialist in Jacksonville, florida. The animal hospital is part of a healthcare community of veteran hospitals and Loki's caretakers knew chocolate was toxic to dogs so they acted very fast. Loki presented to our er after ingesting a bag of halloween reese's chocolates and wrappers. Chocolates toxic to dogs and the wrappers can cause intestinal Okay and dark chocolate has a higher concentration making dark chocolate more toxic.
Speaker 1Some dark chocolate may contain two substances that are even more toxic to dogs.
Speaker 3Yeah, I thought dark chocolate was like the worst one.
Speaker 1It's the worst. Yeah, so Baker's chocolate can be whatever. So anyway, loki arrived at the hospital a stomach full of chocolate and candy wrappers. They went to work getting the potentially dangerous substances out of his body. They induced vomiting in Loki, who regurgitated the 15 chocolates without an issue. Luckily, the candies the corgi ate mainly were white chocolate, the least toxic to dogs, but still a substance that isn't safe for pets. Ew, and they show all the wrappers and everything. Dogs metabolize differently than humans and even the amount of ingestion is not toxic. It may cause health problems such as pancreatitis, et cetera, et cetera. Anyway, thank goodness they noticed that their Halloween candy was all missing and I give Loki thumbs up for finding and figuring out how to eat it.
Speaker 3You know, but talk about stressful.
Speaker 1Yeah, I think Loki learned a lesson. You want to know a secret? One time I had to go get my stomach pumped.
Speaker 3I know, I remember, I remember it all too well, belle.
Speaker 1Yeah, because my first time on a travel adventure. I was just a wee baby pup and we were walking in Charleston Right Charleston and I was eating the chocolate, ice cream and sprinkles that someone had dropped on the floor and then by the time human turned around, my face was all chocolate. So human quick, grabbed me, ran back to the hotel, washed me and went. Then we went to the emergency vet and they and, um, they're like what she ate chocolate?
Speaker 3and they took me in the back and then they know what they ended up saying they ended up saying that you did not have that much chocolate in your system but that you had. But good thing that the human brought you, because you ingested mulch and that would have been a big problem.
Speaker 1Yeah, so apparently I ingested more mulch than chocolate ice cream.
Speaker 3Because, I don't know what you're thinking, belle, but when you were a wee pup and sometimes you still, although, no, you're a lot better now but when you were a wee pup, you would eat everything and anything.
Speaker 1It was just fun. I don't know it tasted good.
Speaker 3Just like the first time we went to the beach.
Speaker 1I ate all the sand.
Speaker 3And that's not good, that's dangerous.
Speaker 1Yeah, but I was okay, I pooped it out. Thank God, but yes, so I get it about the chocolate.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1Yeah. So guys, be careful with the Halloween candy. Don't let us eat any of it, forget, it doesn't matter if it's chocolate or not, just keep it away from don't let the doggies eat it put it up high on top of something. That is like too high for us even to jump. Yeah a hundred percent and here we go, moving on. So Again, happy November 1st.
Speaker 3Is that it?
Speaker 1That's all. I got my three stories.
