Speaker 3:

Speaker 1:

Well before I do banter, I want to share some stats with everyone.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, we should talk about that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, because it's very good.

Speaker 3:

Very good, very good, very good.

Speaker 1:

So we have some new locations.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Here we go, some new locations. Yeah, here we go. Hadamar hessy, that's germany. I know that. Hello germany. Thank you, and welcome to gossip pups then there's germany's been very loyal yeah, germany's really fiercely up there in our charts. We'll go through the, but I think they're like really up there, we have Davidson, north Carolina, and we have Memphis, tennessee, yeehaw.

Speaker 3:

North Carolina.

Speaker 1:

Davidson North.

Speaker 3:

Carolina.

Speaker 1:

And Memphis Tennessee.

Speaker 3:

Memphis.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Ooh, we got some.

Speaker 1:

Elvis in the house, elvis hometowners. So, speaking of Germany, they are our second top country and territory of listeners.

Speaker 3:

Oh, gotta love those Germans.

Speaker 1:

Love the Germans and the pretzels and the steins. October Fest, yeah, oh, that's why it's October. So it's October Fest they're.

Speaker 3:

Oh, that's why it's October, so it's October Fest. They're probably having a good old time listening to gossip. Listening to us, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Party on Germany Fest on. Is Heidi based in Germany? I have no idea. I know. Germany has not worst bratwurst, heidi. What else worst? Not worst bratw worst, heidi. What else worst? Not worst Bratwurst. What is another worst? Is there another worst Sauerkraut? What is Germany Pretzels, those big giant pretzels.

Speaker 3:

Beer in Steins is very popular oh sorry, Heidi's based in the Swiss Alps.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Apologies.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I was going through a list of their foods and stuff. I know, didn't sound like heidi foods and um, our third? Well, united states, of course, is top, and united kingdom is third, followed by sweden and austria. Oh, it's pretty cool, huh very cool so I haven't done those stats in a couple of weeks. Yeah, it's actually good to get the stats. Yeah, I like that. Everybody who listens is from everywhere. Thank you everyone.

Speaker 3:

Love y'all. Yeah, love you all, so I have to say what a week we've had. It's been a crazy week.

Speaker 1:

It's been a wild and crazy amazing week. It was so good, this week, let's do banter. Okay, tink, we'll go on to banter.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, Bell's banter.

Speaker 1:

All right. So we had, of course, our bath time, then we had to shoot part one of this last minute social media deal we got, and then we had to post part one of the social media deal that we got. And then, on Wednesday, for part two of the three part, we went. We were invited to the Love Sack event, where it was so much fun. They had a contest and the humans had to move this the sactionals into a formation. It was so fun and so we had an appearance there. Then we shot some content there, which, of course, had to be edited and posted the next day, which I think was yesterday. Oh my gosh, the week is flying. So, love Sack, we love you. Thank you for a fun partnership and oh, we've got a lot of fun things in the works, so everybody's going to just have to stay tuned, I know.

Speaker 3:

They're going to have to stay tuned. I know they're going to have to stay tuned.

Speaker 1:

It's getting wild. Stay tuned everyone.

Speaker 3:

Every day is just.

Speaker 1:

A new adventure, that's all I say. A new adventure, and I'm like keep it coming because I hate when it's slow.

Speaker 3:

I know.

Speaker 1:

I know you do.

Speaker 3:

Although I appreciate, though, the downtime a little bit sometimes.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes it gets boring and I'm like what's happening? I know.

Speaker 3:

But boring. But that's life, though it comes in waves.

Speaker 1:

I know Well, we're in our good wave now, so keep it going. Keep it going, waving it up.

Speaker 3:

OK.

Speaker 1:

Waving it up. And I have to say shout out, Shout out to all of our New York sports teams. They're on fire. The basketball, the ladies basketball the liberties.

Speaker 3:

They're probably going to win the whole championship tonight.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so if they win the whole championship tonight, and the Yankees win, and the Mets are winning right now.

Speaker 3:

Okay, but the Yankees have to win one more, right.

Speaker 1:

I think so this would be three if they win tonight. Yeah, they have to win four out of seven, so do the mets have to win four out of seven? But wouldn't that be crazy if it everything is new york in the finals, like new york liberties the final basketball. It could be new york yankees versus new york mets yeah, that would be subway series. Series, subway Series, epic, wow. So New York, you're on fire. Keep going, those teams keep going. I don't think that's happened in a long time.

Speaker 3:

I think it has not happened, since I want to say almost, would it be like 15 years. I don't know there was a Subway Series recently.

Speaker 1:

Not recently, but Not for the championship. But don't they do it just to do it? I?

Speaker 3:

think no, but there was one that was a World Series, with them against each other.

Speaker 1:

Really, who won? The Yankees, I would think.

Speaker 3:

The Yankees won. Yeah, of course I don't think the Mets have won the World Series ever, and that I don't think the Mets have won the World Series ever.

Speaker 1:

The man goes the Yankees won Wait. That's how he says it. You ought to know that man?

Speaker 3:

What's his name? The Yankees won. Wait. First I'm looking at when was the last Subway Series Yankees Mets World.

Speaker 1:

Series, yeah, world Series.

Speaker 3:

The last World. When was the last time? Mets and Yankees World Series 2000.

Speaker 1:

Oh my gosh, 24 years ago. What's been going on?

Speaker 3:

24 years ago. So this would be, if they get it Wow, what do you think?

Speaker 1:

I think they could do it. I know Liberty's going to win tonight. I know Mets are winning now. They probably already won, because it was already the eighth inning or something and there was like 12 to something. Okay, yankees started and they're winning already. So I am saying all three teams for New York are winning tonight.

Speaker 3:

Is the name for the guy John Sterling. Who's that? The Yankees guy you said you wanted to know who is the Yankees guy. It says that only until 2024. That's now. Oh, so maybe is he retiring after this.

Speaker 1:

Oh, maybe.

Speaker 3:

Wait, is this his voice? It's going to play.

Speaker 2:

Here's a 1-2 to Glaber Winning run. At second. Two out of the ninth Pitch Swung on and line to right center field. It is a base hit Grounding third Scoring kind of from left half and the Yankees win the ball game.

Speaker 1:

Is that him?

Speaker 3:

I don't really know sports but I just know that voice. Yeah, that's it. Yeah, that's so funny.

Speaker 1:

Anyway, go New York, and I don't know, sorry for everyone who's not in New York yes, lose, you lose. That's how it goes. Go New York, and I don't know Sorry for everyone who's not in New.

Speaker 3:

York. Yes, no, as you lose. That's how it goes. Go New York.

Speaker 1:

So I have to say, moving on from banter, today we had to be near a famous Swifty landmark, cornelia Street. Oh my gosh Guys, swifties were like fierce and wild out there, a famous, Swifty landmark, cornelia Street.

Speaker 3:

Oh my gosh, guys, guys, the Swifties are wild. The Swifties were fierce and wild out there.

Speaker 1:

I didn't even understand there were thousands of them taking pictures of her. And waiting in line Nicely, politely too.

Speaker 3:

I might say Waiting in line to get their pic.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, in front of Taylor's house. Well, apartment, cornelia Street.

Speaker 3:

Wow.

Speaker 1:

It was wild, so here's my idea.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I think New York should start a Swifty tour. Oh, I was going to say I think that there is no stop Is there, and they should take all of the group to all of the places she eats and all of her houses, apartments, I mean.

Speaker 3:

New York City Guide, taylor Swift edition. Taylor Swift New York A walking tour.

Speaker 1:

No, seriously, there is. There is Someone got my idea first.

Speaker 3:

Come on, it's a Swifty walking tour, I bet.

Speaker 1:

I could do it better.

Speaker 3:

Includes a guide.

Speaker 1:

A guide of what.

Speaker 3:

You discover. Take in New York City from a Swifties perspective guided tour. Discover Taylor Swift's New York City homes and her favorite recording studio. See the apartment building that relates to Taylor's favorite TV show. Visit a bakery that she loves and a bookstore where she has previously shopped. Travel through different Taylor eras throughout the neighborhoods. Rude, they took my idea. Rude, Go to the bakery where she has gotten her birthday cake.

Speaker 1:

Oh well now they could go to all of the restaurants, too, that she's been going to with Harry Face.

Speaker 3:

The corner store.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, the corner store looks really good.

Speaker 3:

We've never gotten there, I think we should get our paws in there.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we will we definitely should. Oh, do you know? Some coffee shop wanted to send a DM for us to come there. Okay, we'll go. I told them we'll come if we're in the neighborhood, but our paws are really in demand and very busy. So guys just sit tight. Our paws are just in demand. Yeah, yeah, but I thought that would be a fun Swiftie thing to have. I didn't realize they had it already.

Speaker 3:

That actually would be a fun thing to just do. I do a little vlog TikTok day of us two just going to different Taylor Swift locations in the city.

Speaker 1:

So do you know this coffee? It's called Bedford Studio NYC.

Speaker 3:

I don't know, but you just gave them a shout out on the pod. Oh sorry, no, why are you saying sorry?

Speaker 1:

Unsponsored Pay up. No, just kidding. Anyway, that's who. They're very popular and they love us. Apparently they think we're funny.

Speaker 3:

Amazing, amazing.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and it looks kind of Swifty-like.

Speaker 3:

It does.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's a very cool-looking look.

Speaker 3:

Let me see.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, very cool-looking.

Speaker 3:

Ooh yeah, always down for trying new coffee shops, and it's downtown.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, we'll be there, okay. One day we promise.

Speaker 3:

Don't know when. Yeah, we'll go check it out at some point.

Speaker 1:

So, wow, can't believe. It's another day, another Friday, and we're here. We're here Rolling along.

Speaker 3:

We are, you know what else.

Speaker 1:

Anything else, no more banter.

Speaker 3:

No more banter Should we go right to the top, but we're going to start with the queen right. Yes, I guess.

Speaker 1:

Being. I started with the queen, you're going to continue on with the queen.

Speaker 3:

Well, I was going to just say, say, just yeah, I guess we'll start with the queen Go, queen go. Um. So a lot of announcements this week, a lot, I mean. But let's go, let's just rewind a little bit, because we're talking about the Yankee game.

Speaker 1:

Okay, let's rewind.

Speaker 3:

Okay, so the Queen and Harry Face, harry Face Went to the Yankee game.

Speaker 1:

Yes, but it's kind of old news. It's old news now. Yeah, it's really old news, but this week they showed up.

Speaker 3:

So then after that, the next day, and she was wearing black and I thought it was going to be, you know, reputation announcement, but no. Then she announced that she is going to be releasing an official Aristor book. Yeah, and also a new vinyl of the Tortured Poets Department. Okay, can I ask? Yes? Who gets these vinyls and what do you do with them? You play them on a vinyl player like the one behind you, Belle.

Speaker 1:

We never play it I know. So like do people really do that? I Like we listen to streaming stations. Like do people really do that?

Speaker 3:

I don't know, but I thought Guys, listeners tell me.

Speaker 1:

Email me, DM me or something. Do you play those vinyl things?

Speaker 3:

No, they definitely do, because the sound quality apparently is like so much better. I understand. But I've actually never experienced it.

Speaker 1:

I'm just curious if our fabulous gossip.

Speaker 3:

pup my fierce fabulous fluffy ears haven't experienced a vinyl.

Speaker 1:

I'm just curious if our fabulous gossip pup.

Speaker 3:

My fierce, fabulous fluffy ears haven't experienced a vinyl.

Speaker 1:

I'm just curious if our listeners have.

Speaker 3:

Oh, they definitely have. People love it. That's why they sell them.

Speaker 1:

So you say Also people collect them. So then you're not listening to it, you're collecting it.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, just like CDs. People still collect CDs, but they don't play them. They just play their Spotify.

Speaker 1:

I don't think you can play CDs anymore either.

Speaker 3:

If you have a CD player.

Speaker 1:

Do you think it still works?

Speaker 3:

Yes, oh, okay, but a part of this conversation, so she's releasing this book too.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I really don't care about that Me either.

Speaker 3:

I'm not really a book kind of pup me either, and it's bigger than me, but the the big thing from it which has made headlines is that taylor swift is bypassing book publishers for the new book she is self-publishing.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, just like she did her concert. She's very smart.

Speaker 3:

Just like you mean the concert on TV. She sold it without a studio.

Speaker 1:

Exactly.

Speaker 3:

Girly, she's queen, she's queen in control.

Speaker 1:

She is on top of the world. Sorry, I don't really care about your book.

Speaker 3:

She's self-publishing under her new Taylor Swift Publications.

Speaker 1:

Oh, she's got a whole book brand.

Speaker 3:

She can keep more of the revenue than typical celebrity memoir deals, which can reap millions for publishers through advances and royalties on sales.

Speaker 1:

Very true.

Speaker 3:

Self-published authors are also able to control the creative content of their books and release them sooner, although they give up access to printing presses, distributors, the media and staff who can promote the book. And um all that.

Speaker 1:

But I think she can just promote it herself. Yeah, I think so too, and she has her own. Pr team. So uh, she's not missing anything.

Speaker 3:

Yep.

Speaker 1:

She's smart.

Speaker 3:

But I thought that was really really interesting.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but I thought that was really, really interesting. Yeah, maybe she'll publish a book about us. Taylor, can we join your publishing can?

Speaker 3:

we join the publishing house. Yeah, yes, and then fast forward to this weekend. The Arras tour kicks off tonight. Right now, as we're speaking, it's going on, it's happening now. I would like go on TikTok right now and try to see if it's playing.

Speaker 1:

It's really happening now. No, I know it is, but like and you know who's there jason, kylie and the kids that was my story.

Speaker 3:

Oh sorry, it's okay, go ahead oh, mama, swift yes, yeah, everybody, everyone's there, except for travis well, because hairy face has to play once in a while like I don't get this guy has more time off, more days off, does the guy?

Speaker 1:

rehearse, not rehearse practice. What Like I don't get. This. Guy has more time off, more days off. Does a guy rehearse, not rehearse Practice? What is?

Speaker 3:

that I don't know. It's very strange.

Speaker 1:

You're a professional sports player and you're out having fun in the city every day, and you don't even play in the city, I know Whatever, yeah. So Mama Kels is there. So Mama Kelsey's there, jason, kylie and the two little girls.

Speaker 3:

But you know where they spotted her on Thursday At the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, florida, mama Kelsey.

Speaker 1:

Oh, did they stay there because the concert isn't the concert at the Hard Rock? No, it's in.

Speaker 3:

Miami? Yeah, oh, I don't know where no it's at the hard rock. No, it's in miami yeah but oh, I don't know where. No, it's at the football stadium, like where the dolphins oh, I don't know, I wonder or is it a no, I don't.

Speaker 1:

Now, I'm confused I am too, but she was excited to be back there apparently I, I don't know, but I don't think the show's at the Hollywood Florida.

Speaker 3:

No, then it would be in Hollywood Florida.

Speaker 1:

It's not Hollywood Florida, it's in Miami.

Speaker 3:

Yes, but she was seen at the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, florida.

Speaker 1:

It is at the Hard Rock Stadium.

Speaker 3:

Oh, so it's the Hard Rock Stadium in Hollywood.

Speaker 1:

Miami Gardens, florida, I knew. See I might be younger, but I'm kind of wiser come on.

Speaker 3:

Okay, I'm actually confused. I thought it was at miami. Like where is that? Where the dolphins miami florida.

Speaker 1:

It's called the hard rock stadium, so it kind of makes sense. Did they put them all up at the hard rock hotel or something?

Speaker 3:

Probably yeah. Okay, yeah, my mistake.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and she's there today, tomorrow and Sunday and then she goes to New Orleans.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, okay, yeah, oh wait, but the Hard Rock Hotel and Cas casino is not where the stadium is okay, no, now that makes sense. It's different stadium okay, the hard rock stadium is not where the hard rock is in hollywood. It's separate, but but.

Speaker 1:

But they're all just in the hard rock family yeah, and they probably gave them like the whole roof suite or something to stay in probably because jason and kylie and everyone are there. Uh-huh, yeah, oh yeah, I'm a yawner. Yeah, sorry, well, it's for friday night, so okay, so they're there tonight.

Speaker 3:

It's going on right now, should we? I'm gonna see if there's any lives going on now of the tour.

Speaker 1:

I know it's going to be so good Apparently everybody's.

Speaker 3:

Is there new stuff you think you know?

Speaker 1:

the Swifty Nutties are making up stories saying she's doing secret surprises tonight.

Speaker 3:

Well, I'm assuming that there has to be something new.

Speaker 1:

Well, there's always something new. As far as her song, like her surprise song- yeah, there's something going on.

Speaker 3:

Let's see, she's up to All Too Well.

Speaker 1:

Oh, wow.

Speaker 3:

If this is, it Is this Miami right now.

Speaker 1:

Is it live? You got a live feed. How did they allow that?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, she's up to all too well. Do we think that this is a Look here you?

Speaker 1:

go.

Speaker 3:

Oh wow, Do we think that this tour is going to have anything different.

Speaker 1:

You mean costumes. I bet she's changed the costumes. She does that like she blinks and she has new costumes on. It's the craziest thing ever.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, but I'm wondering, like if there's anything new like new songs, new dances.

Speaker 1:

I think, but we'll see.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I guess. So We'll have to see, wait it out.

Speaker 1:

So go Queen, go kill it this weekend, can we?

Speaker 3:

do next story Sure, or what do you think? Moving on, moving and a grooving. Next story is Meryl Streep andin short, all smiles for cozy dinner in santa monica after sparking romance rumors are they really boyfriend and girlfriend, meryl streep and martin short's romance rumors are heating up. The only murders in the murders, only murders in the building. Co-stars were all smiles while arriving at the celebrity favorite Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica on.

Speaker 1:

Wednesday I am like shocked.

Speaker 3:

Streep 75, walking shortly in front of Short. 74, wearing a blue and white blouse paired with navy pants and cream-colored flats.

Speaker 1:

Oh, hold on. So they're a couple on TV and they're a couple in real life.

Speaker 3:

They drove off together in the Little Women Stars white sedan.

Speaker 1:

Oh, that was his, isn't he married?

Speaker 3:

No.

Speaker 1:

Are you sure?

Speaker 3:

I don't think so.

Speaker 1:

Is she?

Speaker 3:

married. No, she just got divorced, remember Last year she made that.

Speaker 1:

Because of him, you think so. Wow, it's a real-life romance, just like they play on TV.

Speaker 3:

Hold on, I'm checking, oh no horses. Check it oh, he was married for like a million years, yeah, but his wife died, oh, in 2010.

Speaker 1:

Oh wow, that's a long time ago, yeah, wow.

Speaker 3:

He has three kids with her.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I know that. I wonder if they look like him.

Speaker 3:

I don't know, but I didn't know that. But yeah, and Meryl is divorced.

Speaker 1:

That's it. They're going to take over.

Speaker 3:

Taylor and Travis.

Speaker 2:

So what's?

Speaker 1:

their name going to be. So we have Trailer and we have.

Speaker 3:

Martin and Meryl. So Meryl, meryl, meryton, meryl, meryton or Meryl. It's either Meryl. I'm going with Meryl, I'm going with Marl. I kind of like Marl better too. It kind of sounds like marble, but not.

Speaker 1:

Who's going to win this weekend? Marl or trailer?

Speaker 3:

I think trailer no, they definitely take over.

Speaker 1:

They're not together this weekend because he's finally working out and playing she has a lot of shows to do. Thickens. She's got three this week today and tomorrow and the next day I don't know how she does that in the role like that.

Speaker 3:

It still blows my mind.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's so long I know, and she doesn't ever act tired I'm telling you she's super crazy.

Speaker 3:

I tell you.

Speaker 1:

She's on super vitamins, yeah, and she's not sharing with anyone.

Speaker 3:

Nope, I don't even think she shares with hairy face um, yes, and then, of course, the news of this week, also kind of the sad news that Liam Payne passed away in Argentina.

Speaker 1:

What if?

Speaker 3:

And apparently he was under the influence of potent drugs that caused psychotic attacks and hallucinations when he fell off the balcony of his hotel in Buenos Aires. Yeah, I don't know. I just think like rest in peace, Liam. It's terrible, Such awful news. He has a kid.

Speaker 1:

Seven years old.

Speaker 3:

It's just terrible.

Speaker 1:

But apparently there were four different occasions where he tried to get help recently and no one helped him.

Speaker 3:

Oh, I did not know that. Now tell me about this, see.

Speaker 1:

Well, I don't know. I just heard that today that he I did not know that. Now tell me about this. See, well, I don't know. I just heard that today that he I don't know whether it's through posts or like texting people, but apparently there were four occasions just prior.

Speaker 3:

I did read how, like his the girlfriend, like he begged the girlfriend to stay, or something.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and she left two days ago.

Speaker 3:

And she left, but he was like he didn't want her to leave.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and he said that being in a boy band just messes up your head totally. I don't know. Yeah, but it's a shame.

Speaker 3:

It's really terrible.

Speaker 1:

His poor family.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, rest in peace Liam. Rest in peace Liam.

Speaker 1:

Rest in peace. Terrible Moving on to. We don't want our listeners to be depressed.

Speaker 3:

No, of course not, but it is. It is reality, the reality of what happened this week. I mean in pop culture, yes, it is. And other than that, honestly, I don't have much to recap of the week. I mean, I'm just saying go Yankees.

Speaker 1:

Go Liberty, go Yankees, go Mets.

Speaker 3:

That's what I'm saying, yeah, there was also the Victoria's Secret show, but I don't really think anyone cares. Yeah, like no one cared.

Speaker 1:

Who cares?

Speaker 3:

They didn't do it at the right time, I feel.

Speaker 1:

No, and you know what else? It was down by where I was just on, set down there in Brooklyn, and it's impossible to get there.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's just like, not like I don't even think anyone cares, like I didn't see anything about it really.

Speaker 1:

I don't understand why you're doing it in October. It's not even like Fashion Week or something.

Speaker 3:

Very strange, very strange.

Speaker 1:

Whatever, yeah, that was this week.

Speaker 3:

And that is it.

Speaker 1:

That is it. All right, moving on to pop culture, but I have to start with something else.

Speaker 3:

What Panda culture? Panda culture, yes, okay, this is exciting.

Speaker 1:

As everybody probably knows, but this kind of falls under pop culture and pup slash panda culture. The giant panda pair has arrived in the National Zoo in DC.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Did you all know this? And they're really cute. The National Zoo last three pandas left for China last fall. It wasn't clear when or if DC would ever again be home to giant pandas. But, surprise, in May, officials revealed that China was planning to send a pair of young pandas, and we found out. Their journey began. A special FedEx carrying a pair of three-year-old pandas, lifted off from Chengdu International Airport, landed Tuesday morning in Dulles International Airport, made the short trek to their new home at the National Zoo in northwest DC. Both pandas, the male Bo Li and female King Bao, were born in China. Bao Li has some major DC roots. He's the son of Bao Bao, who was born at the National Zoo in 2013. So here's the thing though they're there. They're there, they're safe, they're eating, they are so cute, but they're not going to be out of quarantine until like January. Whoa, they have to keep them in quarantine to make sure that they're not carrying any parasites or anything that can be spread throughout the zoo.

Speaker 3:

Or just the zoo, or just the panda, like themselves.

Speaker 1:

Well, they're already with each other. So if they have anything, it wouldn't be passing it to each other Because they would have it already. So it's kind of like you know. If we went to another country. They say we have to quarantine them, quarantine us for a week or something like that, like to Hawaii or something crazy, but they interact with other animals.

Speaker 3:

Usually animals are in different enclosures.

Speaker 1:

No, they're not, they're in quarantine, but with themselves.

Speaker 3:

No, I know, but then when they're out of quarantine, are they going to go with other animals?

Speaker 1:

No, they stay by themselves. So then why do?

Speaker 3:

they have to be. This is what I'm confused about, Because they have to be.

Speaker 1:

This is what I'm confused about, because they have to, I guess, make sure that they're okay. First they keep them away from everyone. They are setting up a live cam so you can watch them, and then they'll bring them out to their giant area where everybody can see them, kind of like our friend the hippo. Oh, yes, I love him.

Speaker 3:

Our good old hippo. Oh, yes, I love him.

Speaker 1:

Our good old hippo With his pink cheeks, he's the cutest so anyway, that's panda culture, ha ha.

Speaker 3:

I loved it.

Speaker 1:

Good Moving on.

Speaker 3:

That's some good culture.

Speaker 1:

Here we go for some pup culture. Paraglider spots dog on top of the Great Pyramid of Giza. New footage shows how the pup got down. Pyramid of Giza new footage shows how the pup got down Pyramid of Giza, giza, giza, giza, I don't know, giza, wait, how do?

Speaker 2:

you say it.

Speaker 1:

G-I-Z-A.

Speaker 3:

I thought it was Giza.

Speaker 1:

It could be.

Speaker 3:

Wait.

Speaker 1:

A dog that made the incredible journey to the top of the Great Pyramid of Giza has safely returned to Earth. Has safely returned to Earth. As paraglider Alex Lang was flying near the Egyptian landmark, he noticed something particularly odd A dog was walking on the highest point. Oh, did you just say Giza, Tina? Pyramid of Giza.

Speaker 3:

Giza.

Speaker 1:

The dog was walking on the highest point, over a 4,000-year-old pyramid.

Speaker 3:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

The video obtained by news, the canine can be seen pacing around the top layer of the oldest of seven wonders in the world. Lang, flying around in a motorized paraglider, can be seen doing a double take at the dog and circling around the pyramid as he tries to get a better look. He was barking at the birds, lang told the news. According to the news, the pyramid in question is the largest of three pyramids in Giza Plateau and was the tallest man-made structure in the world for nearly 4,000 years. They haven't been able to determine whether the dog has an owner or how the pup made its way to the top of the ancient tomb that is 450 feet tall at its peak.

Speaker 1:

An onlooker captured footage of the dog's descent from the landmark on Tuesday. The clip shows the canine walking its way down the pyramid to the ground. Are you kidding me? A person asks off screen in the video as the light-colored dog hops down the pyramid one step at a time, wagging its tail. By Tuesday's end, the dog had safely returned to the bottom of the Great Pyramid. Look at him up there. How the heck did he get up there first of all, and down, look at him.

Speaker 3:

Oh my god.

Speaker 1:

Was he trying to do like the workout of his lifetime or something? I'm glad he's okay and we will probably hear part two of this eventually. Of whose dog is that?

Speaker 3:

Whose dog is that?

Speaker 1:

Who you yeah. Next veteran saves injured stray dog he fell in love with on trip to Bosnia. I had total trust in this dog.

Speaker 3:

Wow, we're really going from the Pyramid of Giza to Bosnia.

Speaker 1:

Love at first sight Can't take hold of you in unexpected places. For fighter fighter and retired US Army Sergeant Kyle Walker, the feeling overcame him. On a winding road in Bosnia, walker was visiting the country with his girlfriend and spotted a light golden colored dog with the beautiful tail limping on the side of the road. Initially, walker honked at the dog as he passed by to warn the canine not to cross near the highway filled with speeding cars. When I beeped, the look on her face was devastating to me. She looked terrified and she somehow looked directly into my eyes.

Speaker 1:

After locking eyes with the stray dog, walker turned his rental car around to meet the canine up close. He decided that saving this dog's life was worth the risk of bites or anything else and cautiously approached the poop. Look, he is very cute. She looked at me with her head low and tail wagging. I knew we were going to be okay. I put out my hand. She gave me a lick and stared at me.

Speaker 1:

After forming a quick bond with the dog, walker gave the pup some water. After forming a quick bond with the dog, walker gave the pup some water. He started thinking about how to get her away from the busy roadside. I had total trust in this dog and I believe she had total trust in me. As we were on the side of a highway with the occasional car passing by. There were prolonged moments of silence as we were both running through what was happening in our heads. So naturally I started picking names and Emily was saying there was no way we could pull this off, crediting the perseverance and development in the National Guard, walker says he decided not to give up on this injured, filthy, dehydrated stray dog.

Speaker 3:

He wanted to get her back to his home in Fall River Massachusetts.

Speaker 1:

I felt so bad for her I had to get her in the car. I could see the fleas were everywhere on her. I picked her up, she looked at me, gave me a lick under my chin and I headed back into the town not knowing what to do next. The trio ended up contacting Paws of War for help, based on a recommendation from one of Walker's friends, a fellow Army veteran. Paws of War is a nonprofit devoted to alleviating hardships for veterans and first responders through pets. The organization quickly responded and said we can take care of you. They followed through with that promise by handling the complicated logistics of getting the dog vetted and prepared for a trip overseas. So, needless to say, the dog's name is now Jimmy Jimmy.

Speaker 2:

Jimmy.

Speaker 1:

Jimmy. Sorry, jimmy. She's here in USA and happy and healthy and just arrived, aww.

Speaker 3:

So, jimmy, is going from.

Speaker 1:

Bosnia to Massachusetts. Wow yeah, isn't that cool. I love that, I love it. So one last story. What a change of scenery. Yeah, that dog is probably like where am I? What a change of scenery. Yeah, that dog is probably like where am I? What is this? Here is my last story. Cruel owner who tied dog to fence in Hurricane Milton evacuation says he did it because he couldn't find anyone to pick the terrier up.

Speaker 1:

Wait, what A cruel Florida dog owner, who left his pooch tied to a fence in floodwaters on the side of a highway as Hurricane Milton barreled down on the Sunshine State last week, has been caught. Giovanni Aldama Garcia was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated animal cruelty. A third-degree felony Garcia admitted to leaving the canine, a white bull terrier, on Interstate 75 as he raced towards Georgia ahead of the storm. Why couldn't she stay with him in the car? It makes no sense. The 23-year-old told officials he left his dog Jumbo because he couldn't find anyone to pick the dog up. What does that mean?

Speaker 3:

I don't get it.

Speaker 1:

Lopez blasted Garcia's action and asked for politicians to help change laws. Hillsborough County we take animal cruelty very seriously. Mm-hmm, take animal cruelty very seriously. Anyway, this guy should be in jail forever because you're escaping and you tie your dog up to be flooded on a highway, like that's insanity. So the happy news is he's in trouble. And that's what counts. And that is the end of my pup culture. What do you think?

Speaker 3:

Tink, I thought it was pup-tastic.

Speaker 2:

Pup-tastic.

Speaker 1:

So there we go. There we go, wrapping it up.

Speaker 3:

I think we're about to wrap it up. I think so too, because you know it's a Friday night. It's a Friday night.
