Speaker 3:Yes.
Speaker 1:Okay, then Also known as 89. So how are you feeling, tink? We can't talk about what happened today, but I'm just asking how you're feeling.
Speaker 3:Why can't we talk about what happened today?
Speaker 1:because we have to go in order.
Speaker 3:Pills banter we have to go in order okay, but then we're going to talk about what happened today, because we'll just go all the way, oh yeah until today exactly.
Speaker 1:So I was saying how are you feeling, tink?
Speaker 3:I am feeling exhausted, you know exhausted, working Exhausted, exhausted, working girl problems.
Speaker 1:Fierce, fabulous fluff.
Speaker 3:Fierce, fabulous fluff problems.
Speaker 1:Triple F. Yeah, so I had last time three days of shooting work, tink had this time two days of shooting work. We on a roll.
Speaker 3:Boom, yes, and that's why we're late today, so it's more like happy Friday afternoon or Friday night.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we should be having dinner together with everybody. Well, no, we're not senior citizens.
Speaker 3:What time is it? It's only four. Right now we're recording and it's 4.15.
Speaker 1:Oh, it's way too early, way, way, way too early.
Speaker 3:It's almost happy hour time.
Speaker 1:Yappy hour.
Speaker 3:Yappy hour. Yappy hour.
Speaker 1:Yappy hour Woof, woof.
Speaker 3:Should have brought our martini glasses. Well, it's dinner hour somewhere.
Speaker 1:I mean we have every country listening to us.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it is dinner hour somewhere, so enjoy your dinner, and some people, it's still the work day, or still breakfast Could be anything.
Speaker 1:So happy Friday. Anyway, we have so much banter to recap on Because, remember, last week we told you oh wait, yeah, we did what. We didn't tell you where we were going or what was happening, but it happened last minute and last after the podcast, after the podcast Last Friday. So we drove Saturday night all night long no, just kidding, it's not that far and we went to Salem Massachusetts.
Speaker 3:Yes, we did Cue the spooky music or the witch cackle.
Speaker 1:We went to Hocus Pocus world. Salem is Hocus Pocus land.
Speaker 3:It was. Yes, it is Hocus Pocus land, it is witch land, it is spooky season land, it is all the land. It is amazing, just the fall.
Speaker 1:And I didn't know that there was no tourism there until this tv show called bewitched shot a couple episodes up there yeah, so this is my second time going to salem it's your first I loved it, but we did do a lot.
Speaker 3:There's so much to do there. We still haven't done.
Speaker 1:We still haven't done everything no, we have a lot more to do. We're going back.
Speaker 3:Yeah, we're going back because we need to, and the hotel wants us back, I know, so it just works out. Yeah, but I have to say that this time around I learned so much more about just the whole city. Yes, I know you're going to, but I'm just saying like it was definitely like an educational trip yeah, it was giving anything and I was like wait, tink, you've been here, what did you do?
Speaker 3:no, like I, I definitely enjoyed all the sites and everything but was it shorter I think it was a shorter time last time, yeah, so it was more about getting the content and not about actually experiencing the town and the history. And wow, there's so much. There's so much left to do.
Speaker 1:We have a whole list. It's really amazing and we got there so late at night but I was like, wow, this looks really cool and we woke up so early on Sunday morning. It was really fun to just go to bed and wake up. We woke up with witch hats on.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and like everyone is hocus pocus out there. Yeah, they're dressed up, they're in their witch outfits, they're in their hats.
Speaker 1:But they really are. It's like Disney World. There are Wiccan there. Well, yeah, that's like the serious they practice that yes, it's not witches, they're called Wiccan yes, and that's a religion yes, and those stores are everywhere and the people are everywhere and they're very nice yeah, they're very nice to us. I want them to teach me like a spell anyway. So we woke up in Salem Massachusetts, and we thank you to the Hampton in Salem.
Speaker 3:Yes, which was really fun yeah, it was such a cute, I loved it. I mean it's not luxury, no, but I mean it's there really is no. There's one hotel, which was they, actually wanted us, but it was too sold out for the time that we could go.
Speaker 1:Yeah, they have to work around our schedule and they couldn't.
Speaker 3:And I'm actually happy with what we ended up partnering with yeah, we walked, I loved it.
Speaker 1:We walked everywhere and it was a great location and so modern the whole.
Speaker 3:The whole hotel clean and yeah so for.
Speaker 1:So they, they gave us breakfast and you go to the a floor and it's like, is it a restaurant?
Speaker 3:Not a restaurant, but I guess like a cafe, like there's the buffet, the breakfast buffet and everything and the coffee and the tea.
Speaker 1:Tink got to make waffles.
Speaker 3:I did.
Speaker 1:Big ones and small ones. Yep, it was really fun. So we went to breakfast first and then that day. So the first thing we did was we went to see Max's house from Hocus Pocus.
Speaker 3:No, that's not the first thing we did.
Speaker 1:Yes, it is, no, it's not.
Speaker 3:We went to Pioneer Village.
Speaker 1:I have that second.
Speaker 3:But we did Pioneer Village first. We did, yeah, we did.
Speaker 1:Oh, I can't remember Belle. Anyway, Pioneer Village is.
Speaker 3:Okay, wait, so just rewind, Okay.
Speaker 1:I rewound.
Speaker 3:You have rewound.
Speaker 1:Okay, go, okay.
Speaker 3:So after breakfast we After breakfast we go to Go to Pioneer.
Speaker 1:Village which is where thackery binks lives. Yes, thackery thackery and it's really cool. It's this, um, it's like a reenactment. I don't know what do you call it like uh people wait, people know who thackery Binks is right. Oh, I hope so. He's from Hocus Pocus.
Speaker 3:He's very famous In Hocus Pocus. He is the the cat, the cat, the black cat in. Hocus Pocus.
Speaker 1:That end up being a person. Yeah, it is a person that is spelled as cat and became a cat.
Speaker 3:So in the beginning he's in the 1600s. Yeah, so in the beginning he's in the 1600s. Yeah, and that's where we went, that's where we were His house as a human, and then he becomes a cat there.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so you can see on today's Instagram and Facebook post and TikTok post of ours. You can see us in some of these houses. First of all. First of all, how do the people live in these tiny houses? How?
Speaker 3:I have no idea. I don't understand, I know, and I was not a fan Like, so dusty.
Speaker 1:Dusty, I know Dusty and small and cold, and small and cold. I don't know how they did it. I would have been like peace out, where's the closest hotel? I don't think they they did it. I would have been like peace out, where's the closest hotel?
Speaker 3:I don't think they had that back then, but also like, just how bored were these people.
Speaker 1:I don't know, they didn't have much to do. We saw them light a fire, but there's like we saw the wheels where they spin and make things but like, come on, what do you do? All day, people, they, they farmed, they farmed, they cooked we sewed, they sewed, and that took up all day, I would have been bored to death I'd be like give me something to do. Oh yeah, the one house. We saw those little strange games that they played.
Speaker 3:Yeah, they had some strange games Like I didn't understand what any of them were.
Speaker 1:Me either. I was like I need the directions.
Speaker 3:It's like board games, but they were like really old. Yeah really old and I had no idea. I was like what's?
Speaker 1:happening here, so it was really fun there. What's happening here? So it was really fun there. And you got to see the houses that were used in Hocus Pocus when Thackeray was alive and cast spell on.
Speaker 3:Yes.
Speaker 1:Yes, Okay. So from there we went to Max's house. So I hope you all know who these people are and enjoy Hocus Pocus as much as we do. I hope so.
Speaker 3:Hocus Pocus is Because we'll just keep talking about it an epic icon.
Speaker 1:Anyway, we went to Max's house, which is on this beautiful. What did we find out? It was A sound, not the ocean.
Speaker 3:It's the Salem.
Speaker 1:Harbor. Yeah, harbor, harbor. That was it salem harbor, or maybe it's salem bay yeah, and and people. I mean this water was beautiful. I think there's a story.
Speaker 3:I don't know, I don't know about the weather. Like what was in it was like you couldn't ask for better weather, no than the entire time our fall sweater, our fall sweater.
Speaker 1:weather was perfect.
Speaker 3:It was ideal, it was perfection.
Speaker 1:They knew we were coming and they knew don't make it hot, don't make it cold, just be fall. And it was amazing. But this water was beautiful and it's huge. I thought at first I was like is that an ocean? And people were paddle boarding with wetsuits on. Yeah, they were. I thought at first I was like is that an ocean?
Speaker 3:And people were paddle boarding with wet suits on? Yeah, they were.
Speaker 1:I was worried about the sharks so I just looked it up.
Speaker 3:so we can make sure it's called Salem Harbor.
Speaker 1:Yeah, salem, harbor, salem.
Speaker 3:Harbor.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I was worried about the sharks eating those people, but whatever they didn't get eaten, I don't think.
Speaker 3:I don't think there's sharks there.
Speaker 1:There's sharks everywhere Tink. Okay, yeah, Anyway from there we went to this really fun restaurant called the Flying Saucer.
Speaker 3:Pizza, oh my goodness. Okay, so guys, so good.
Speaker 1:I've never heard of pizza, these flavors, in my life. It was so good.
Speaker 3:Wait, wait, but shout out to the drink menu first.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, Shout out to the Hocus Pocus drink menu.
Speaker 3:Yes, they had shots. Mary, sarah and Winifred shots.
Speaker 1:Yeah, they come in a threesome. It was really cool. We didn't get them, don't worry, no we didn't get them, but they also.
Speaker 3:just the whole menu was themed Salem. It was amazing. It was Salem, it was. It was hocus pocus it was beetlejuice.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it was all the scary movies so fun, so I got um pizza with pickles on it. Yeah, you did I've.
Speaker 3:It was the craziest thing ever and and you got the other half oh yeah, so the, so, the so.
Speaker 1:Okay, so they can make you personal size pizza and make a half one flavor and half another flavor. So there were these crazy flavors like Martian Mary and this and that and all crazy things. So I was like, ok, I'll have a half of the Martian that was the pickle one, and then I'll have a half of. It was this one that had like pepperonis, and what kind of sauce was on that? Honey sauce.
Speaker 1:It was like a honey a hot honey Hot honey, I've never tasted anything like these pizzas in my life. So good, wild, so good. And who would have thought to put pickles on a pizza?
Speaker 3:I don't know, but I have to say great idea.
Speaker 1:Epic idea. They say that's one of their most famous pizzas.
Speaker 3:I know Well, I understand why.
Speaker 1:Yeah. So if you go to Salem, make sure to go to Flying Saucer Pizza, yes, okay. So then do you know what we did? We went to the Salem Cinema, which is like 5,000 years old, and we saw Beetlejuice.
Speaker 3:Yes, we did. It was so good. This cinema also so cool, spooky. It's in the Witch City Mall first of all, yes, it is. Let's talk about how the mall is called Witch City Mall and it's very old-fashioned, it's an old-fashioned mall. You feel like you've been in a time warp.
Speaker 1:Yes, old-fashioned, it's an old-fashioned mall. You feel like you've been in a time warp. Yes, and I I feel like I was in beetlejuice, but the prices are in a time warp yeah totally like if we went to a movie in new york.
Speaker 3:It's like no if we went to go see beetlejuice in new york in new york.
Speaker 1:It's like per person, like 25 dollars per person yeah. Do you know how much it costs to go to see beetlejuice in salem? In this huge screen? Nine dollars nine dollars a person can you imagine? This is why people have to live there. It's epic, oh what the nine dollars instead of 25 and the theater was clean, spotless. It was a time warp it's a cool theater. It's very it's like an independent theater yeah, like they probably shoot a lot of movies in using that place well, yeah, but they also.
Speaker 3:It seems like they also do a lot of cool screenings. They had all the ads out. They show a lot of old movies, a lot of silent films. They show really cool things. Horror films are coming up now because it's spooky season, woohoo, yeah, so it was cool. It was just such a cool theater it was awesome. Yeah, I loved it. It was really was cool, like it was just such a cool theater I was, it was it was awesome.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I loved it. It was really really cool. So then, after the movie, we um.
Speaker 3:Oh, we're not going to talk about the movie.
Speaker 1:Well. I don't know we can't give anything away.
Speaker 3:No spoilers. The movie's excellent but I really liked it. I had a great time. I liked it too. Recommend it and like for anyone who's not really a beetlejuice fan, because because me, like tinkerball, personally I'm not that much of a beetlejuice fan like not as much as you bell, not as much as hocus pocus either. Oh, yeah, I'm a huge hocus pocus fan um mediocre beetlejuice fan well, I just liked I know, I know you like it's fun. No, yeah, I'm definitely not a Beetlejuice fan, but I did really enjoy this movie.
Speaker 1:See. So even if you're not a Beetlejuice fan, I guarantee you shall go. I recommend maybe go.
Speaker 3:It'll be like a good spooky season one. It's fun and it's not like you're not.
Speaker 1:It's not an earth-shattering work of art or anything, but it's fun, yeah, yeah, and I like that they incorporate the original cast into the new movie too.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:And didn't like just get rid of them, like other sequels do.
Speaker 3:So it came across like so modern, though, like I'm so used to the old one, yeah, so that was the only thing. It was just, I mean, and it makes sense. It's modern because we're in modern times, right? But yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1:Exactly, Exactly, Okay. So after the movie no spoilers there.
Speaker 2:No spoilers.
Speaker 1:We went to some witch stores, which was fun.
Speaker 3:Yes, we did.
Speaker 1:There were crystals and spells and potions.
Speaker 3:And herbs.
Speaker 1:Herbs, yeah, lots of crazy stuff.
Speaker 3:Yeah, rocks, stones, yeah.
Speaker 1:Cards and Lots of crazy stuff.
Speaker 3:Yeah, rocks, stones, yeah Cards, and then so many things.
Speaker 1:Yeah, then we went home.
Speaker 3:Yeah, we were out all night, all day and night. We go out all day and night.
Speaker 1:Okay, then next day we.
Speaker 3:Oh no, Then we got back to the hotel.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah.
Speaker 3:And we turned the TV on. Okay, and, and, and it was Beetlejuiced.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, I forgot. Well, I didn't write that in notes. Okay, I didn't write that in notes. I didn't write that in my banter.
Speaker 3:I thought it was creepy, but I do want to say.
Speaker 1:Every time we came back to the hotel at night, everybody was like Hi Tink, hi Belle, here's a bunch of waters for you for the night. Yeah, they were super nice. Yeah, they were so nice.
Speaker 3:Made sure we were hydrated. Need any snacks? I don't know why I was so thirsty there. Yeah, me too. Can someone explain? We're not in, like it's not high elevation.
Speaker 1:We're not in Colorado. I think Salem is a higher elevation than New York, but not like that.
Speaker 3:Oh no.
Speaker 1:What was that noise Tink?
Speaker 3:I don't know. I don't know why I made that noise. I'm sorry.
Speaker 1:Scared me.
Speaker 3:It was the computer.
Speaker 1:Oh, okay, anyway, yeah, what.
Speaker 3:What.
Speaker 1:What were you saying?
Speaker 3:I don't.
Speaker 1:Oh, about them giving us, oh, the altitude, and why we're so thirsty.
Speaker 3:Yes.
Speaker 1:I don't know why.
Speaker 3:It's a higher altitude than here, but really we were so thirsty.
Speaker 1:Human was dying of thirst, all the time too, dying of thirst. We no, tinka and I like drank a gallon of water every night. No, we seriously did Like. I was glad they kept replenishing for us because woof we were thirsty.
Speaker 3:It says that it's 26 elevation, and what are we? That's like nothing. Yeah, exactly Elevation.
Speaker 1:So why were we so thirsty? Maybe it's just the air is drier there.
Speaker 3:Hold on NYC elevation 33 33 it's less elevation.
Speaker 1:I'm so confused. Why were we so thirsty? Must just be, air is dry, whatever, anyway. So then we uh, of course, went to our whole entire floor the next morning for breakfast. We walked around and went to all of the cute little shops that sold hocus, pocus and Salem clothes and just fun stuff. And then we went to the Salem Witch Museum. Yes, so Tink didn't go there last time and she wanted to know what was going on in there. So it was really good, because you learned about the Salem Witch Trials and it was like in Disney World.
Speaker 3:It was a Disney World ride, but not.
Speaker 1:Yeah, except you use your feet. Yeah, but it was like the fake people like what is that the president's it?
Speaker 3:was like the president's hall.
Speaker 1:Yes, in um in disney world magic kingdom right yeah, so if you go to the hall of presidents, you know how they're just like statues and this voiceover sound talks and narrates everything. That's what it was, with many different voices to narrate it, but it was good. Yeah, we learned a lot. We learned how witches evolved and then had a broomstick and became green. Yeah, and they didn't start that way, yeah.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and how they? Yeah, it became more like a Hollywood thing.
Speaker 1:Mm-hmm, they made him green for MGM Hollywood movie.
Speaker 3:Yeah, and the idea of witches on broomsticks was basically just made by Hollywood.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and then this is really funny. I don't remember where we were told this, but people apparently buy broomsticks and try to fly home with them on the airplanes, or something.
Speaker 3:Oh, yeah, because you can buy broomsticks everyone. Yeah, which we'll get to. Because you'll talk broomsticks everyone. Yeah, which we'll get to. Because you'll talk about that other store that we went to.
Speaker 1:Okay, yeah, right so we went to the salem which museum. It was fabulous. Then we went to a place called gulu gulu.
Speaker 3:Yes, we did highly recommend it again a hundred, like if you go to salem, you have to go there, it's just nowhere else fun place.
Speaker 1:It's a casual yeah um, not oversized portions. Well, what does that matter?
Speaker 3:because I always left hungry.
Speaker 1:I want two orders of everything, because I really want so then you mean oversized portions? No, they didn't no, but you mean oversized portions.
Speaker 3:No, they didn't. No, but you want oversized portions, yes, I like oversized portions, because me Belle eats fiercely. So this place didn't have oversized portions. It didn't, but I loved it.
Speaker 1:So you're confusing me. I would just like double of everything next time.
Speaker 3:Okay, well, again, the menu as well is all themed, so cool, themed with like spooky old movies and witch movies and just like you know, spooky season stuff.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I forgot the name of the sandwich I had.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I kind of forget everything too, but all I know is they had names.
Speaker 1:It was really cool the names, but we really liked it and they were very nice to us and their water I drank was delicious too.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it's a good place. I would say that's the number one place you have to go to if you're going to be in Salem.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's a landmark To eat at to go eat at, and then we went to this fun coffee shop called Black Craft Cult Coffee.
Speaker 3:Yep, very scary in there.
Speaker 1:It was terrifying, really scary.
Speaker 3:Really scary in there. It was like if the coven opened a coffee shop that's what it was.
Speaker 1:It was really Black Magic coffee shop. Yeah, it was called black craft cold coffee and the store was attached to it.
Speaker 3:Black, black, black craft cult or something. Yeah, and they had like just tons of spooky stuff spooky.
Speaker 1:It was really spooky in there, yeah. And then we shopped and walked around a lot more and we saw the broomsticks.
Speaker 3:We saw these wands, like harry potter wands there's a whole store dedicated to wands which I'm I honestly was very confused I guess wizards use them um no, but literally it's a whole. It looks just like yeah, it looks just like a harry the harry potter store, but like real. But the real version. It's not a harry, it's not a harry potter store at all, it's just real. Wands in boxes, all like every type of wand you could ever think of, yeah, and a really scary woman running the store. Not scary, just like she looks, like she is from the witchcraft.
Speaker 1:Yeah, she's going to do witchcraft on you if you ask her the wrong question?
Speaker 3:Yeah, and that's why I'm just wondering like are we? Is this? Are people kind of taking it, you know, a little too far? Like is this?
Speaker 1:No, that's her religion.
Speaker 3:No, I understand the religion.
Speaker 1:In fact, someone was buying this picture and she was like, oh, and she started asking this girl questions and the girl was basically just like, I just liked it. And she started saying, well, it's based on the harvest and on this and like you need to pay attention to um the outside now and things like that. And the girl was like no, yeah, I understand that.
Speaker 3:I'm just saying well, anyone could just take up one of these shops and put on this act oh and no, because they also had these tattoos on them. These people okay, so that doesn't mean anything. I could have tattoos if I wanted they were like witchcraft tattoos. Okay, but I mean, you can also just put them, so you, think all these store owners were actors. No, seriously, I think maybe they just, you know, maybe they're not actors, but they definitely are feeding into the idea of it to satisfy the customers.
Speaker 1:Well, I think this lady scared that customer.
Speaker 3:Okay, but I'm just saying. I mean, how do you really know who's being serious and who's being an actor?
Speaker 1:I can tell I got a creepy feeling in there, okay.
Speaker 3:So I think she was real. It's like that island in Italy. I told you about that. I went to Burano and it seems like everyone is just there but doesn't really live there.
Speaker 1:Oh, that was fake. How do you I know you told me that was fake. How do you I know? You told me that was fake. All the houses are painted colors. The people take the ferry over to work and then leave. Nobody lives there, you told me.
Speaker 3:I didn't say that. And they say people do live there. I think people do, but do I think that a lot of people are there just to be for the tourism?
Speaker 1:Yes, that's what I'm saying. I think no. These people are there year round. These people are really.
Speaker 3:Well, because it's a year round tourist attraction.
Speaker 1:And then I got to tell you, we went to another store and this man, he was very nice but he came over and touched me and I got a little scared.
Speaker 3:What, who?
Speaker 1:The store with the potion he came in.
Speaker 3:Oh my God, the store with the potion. He came in oh my god, the one with the potion the last day. Yeah, that store was that one like guys, we're not kidding, there's stores that you can tell are real and stores that are just or they're just really set no, but they're really set up to feel like real, like you walk in and it's like an energy.
Speaker 1:Yeah, no, I'm sorry this is not acting some of these stories. No way. They should all win Academy Awards if these are actors. Because you feel it Like you walk into the stores that sell the shirts and all you don't feel that.
Speaker 3:Oh no, that's different. Yeah, I'm not talking about the shirt stores, I'm talking about the witchcraft stores yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1:All I say is yeah, so anyway, then what else happened? Oh, we went to a restaurant called the Howling Wolf Howling.
Speaker 3:Wolf, howling Wolf, yeah, but what about the candy store?
Speaker 1:Ah, that's the last day. I don't know. I didn't write everything. Okay, fine, back up Rewind.
Speaker 3:Ye old candy shop.
Speaker 1:Okay, fine Back up, rewind Ye Olde Candy Shop. Okay, so we hiked to this old, very famous candy shop in Salem which is on another part of the harbor.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:And it's called Ye Olde, ye Olde Candy Shop, candy Shop, and they make everything in the and they make no. It literally is like the best everything in the store they make like I'm not talking m&ms, I'm talking like I don't even have explain what they have it's so good it's like picture sees candies. Do you know what? Yeah, candies like old-fashioned candy but 8 000 times better.
Speaker 1:They make so much stuff. So we hiked over there and we made it just before he closed his doors. Because this guy's serious, he's, he's at that door at 10 to 5, locking it and not letting anyone else in, because they close at 5 and he's out.
Speaker 3:He's literally out.
Speaker 1:And he was not spooky, just saying.
Speaker 3:No, they were not.
Speaker 1:But that store was excellent. Highly recommend it again. Ye old candy shop, okay, and then we went to the Howling Wolf.
Speaker 3:Yes, then we did which was fun. It was super fun.
Speaker 1:It's Mexican but they have like the best, strangest kind of tacos. What was that kind called? Well, there was fried avocado taco and then there was fish tacos, but they're like really special tacos there.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Of course salamand Fried avocado tacos fish.
Speaker 3:Well, because also we're on a harbor, so fish is very popular, and we're in Massachusetts, so you've got to have some. I know I didn't even have any chowder.
Speaker 1:Oh, you forgot your chowder.
Speaker 3:I didn't have any.
Speaker 1:New England clam chowder Chowder.
Speaker 3:What a disgrace.
Speaker 1:Disgrace you are, I think Okay. So we then that night finished up watching the Netflix series Perfect Couple.
Speaker 3:Yes, do you all like that show?
Speaker 1:Let's recap about that show. What do?
Speaker 3:you think Well, no, I don't think we should do spoilers, no, we can't spoil it, but what do you think? It's a mystery. I thought it was awful.
Speaker 1:Yeah, me too. Like here's the thing. It kept us watching it, but some of the scenes were so stupid it was, I was like is this improv badly or is this badly written? Which bad version is this?
Speaker 3:I just thought it was. It was just like left a lot to be desired, and I thought it was trying to be white lotus, but it was not, it was not, it was not white lotus it could not be white lotus.
Speaker 1:They needed to do like a whole remake of that show to make it. They were trying really hard, but we did watch it until the end.
Speaker 3:Of course, because you want to find out who killed who, it doesn't matter, it's a mystery. Everyone knows someone dies, guess what? Everyone? Someone dies, and then you find out who the killer is Tinky's feeling her oats today. Oh my goodness, that's not a spoiler. That's what the premise of the story is about.
Speaker 1:Okay. Anyway, I mean, if you have nothing else to watch, you should watch it.
Speaker 3:I mean it's definitely a good binge and it's like popular. Well, thank goodness it was only six episodes because, like I, would not have stuck around if it was 10.
Speaker 1:And it was short episodes. They weren't long, yeah, but it's very popular right now, I think.
Speaker 3:Of course, because Nicole Kidman.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I mean, who looks very strange, I have to say.
Speaker 3:Well, they also did a terrible job with her wig on the show, yeah, you can see the lace front.
Speaker 1:It was so weird.
Speaker 3:I was like is that the lace front of the wig.
Speaker 1:So weird so weird. Anyway, moving on. Next, we woke up, had our breakfast. We went then to the Witch Dungeon Museum.
Speaker 3:So now this is another museum but this has actors. Yeah, so this I did not expect. I thought it was going to be a museum. It was. Or it is, but then people came out and they performed.
Speaker 1:No, in character they were acting. Yeah, there were one, two, three actors.
Speaker 3:Three actors.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and they were serious. They were not fooling around out there, but I did learn a lot from them.
Speaker 3:I did too, but I just didn't expect a performance.
Speaker 1:I didn't know what to expect. I thought we were going back to Disney World, like we did from the Salem Witch Museum, but then it wasn't Disney World, it was real people yeah, because they had some wax.
Speaker 3:It was very strange because there were some wax figures and real people and then the real people and then sometimes the real actors were talking to the wax. Yeah, that was weird.
Speaker 1:That was low. It's low budget, low budget. And then we went down into the dungeon. Okay, yeah, so we go down in the dungeon. It's very far down, it was creepy and the lady was like watch your step, watch your step, watch your step. I'm like how many times are you going to say watch your step, watch your step? It was creepy.
Speaker 3:It definitely felt like a real dungeon, but it's not the real dungeon. They replicated it.
Speaker 1:Yeah. So apparently when everybody started going to Salem because of Bewitched, they were like whoa, let's capitalize on this tourism. And they rebuilt all of these landmarks. Yeah, these historic landmarks and made them like those museums and everything, but those weren't the original ones, even though they tell you everything about it and they built it to recreate it. But those weren't the original. But they, as soon as they got started getting the tourism from Bewitched, they jumped on everything and that was so smart.
Speaker 3:Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1:Because that town now is 24-7 hopping.
Speaker 3:It's wild.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's amazing, I don't know, so anyway, so I liked it, even though it was not the real thing. It showed you how the real thing was.
Speaker 3:It showed you how the real thing was, yeah, how the real thing was and what it would feel like what they did to these people who really did nothing?
Speaker 1:Crazy, crazy.
Speaker 3:Yes.
Speaker 1:And then, because we were leaving that day, we had to go back to Gulu Gulu.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it was just. You know the, the last meal before the departure. We went back because it was so good hence why we say you should go there go to gulu, gulu make sure you go there out of all the restaurants. There's tons of restaurants there I mean great places, but I don't know something about the gulu. Gulu was just awesome.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and then we went back to the Hampton Inn and said goodbye to Andy who arranged everything for us. He was excellent.
Speaker 1:Yeah what a nice guy he took selfies then with us, which was fun. He did his selfies and all, and then that brings us to Tink's booking. So Tink was originally supposed to only shoot today in Sleepy Hollow, but they added a second day and wrote her more parts in this, so she got to shoot yesterday too. So Tinky went yesterday up to Rybrook, new York, in Westchester. Yep, yes I did and you want to tell them anything about it. We can't really tell much, can we?
Speaker 3:I can't really say anything except that I'm the star of something.
Speaker 1:Yes, and everybody's like the star is here. The star is here. You said.
Speaker 2:Yes.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and then it's going to be a commercial and also all over social media, on TikTok, instagram, etc. Etc etc.
Speaker 3:Etc etc.
Speaker 1:And then you went to back today for your second day. Tinky had to get up it she had to leave at 5 45, so she had to get up at 5 am this morning to go to sleepy.
Speaker 3:I know it was, it was rough, it was rough roof and I guess can I say that you do that what she does have to bark. I do have to bark on cue hence the reason why I booked that's one of her lines.
Speaker 1:I booked betches yeah, and that was one of her lines, but I won't say your character name or anything no, don't say my character name. Please don't do it and then that takes us to here and then we're back here. I'm exhausted she's exhausted, she wrapped, we're here, I'm still somehow speaking yeah, after all that work after all that it was.
Speaker 1:You said it was fabulous I feel like we missed some things, but I don't remember no, well, I don't know, oh, just inhale dust I know we went to allison's house for hocus pocus we did, and we also went to the allison's house and we went to, uh, the witch house um, yeah, the witch house.
Speaker 3:We didn't go in there because I went in there last time and, honestly, they were the rudest people ever. Yeah, so we didn't go in there because I went in there last time and, honestly, they were the rudest people ever.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so we didn't go in, we just saw outside and took pictures outside.
Speaker 3:Yeah, we're fine, we don't need to see that old house. Yeah, the witch house we saw.
Speaker 1:And we saw the Allison's house from Hocus Pocus.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:Boom.
Speaker 1:So we saw Maxy and allison's houses and town hall, oh yeah, town hall.
Speaker 3:We saw thackeray. We went in the park yes, for a little bit too where they shot yes outside the school yeah, we hit up pretty much like everywhere, we did everything we were well, we did everything, but like we didn't, because there's so many other things that like we haven't done well, this time we did everything, but we didn't, because there's so many other things that we haven't done Well this time. We did tours and you didn't do that last time.
Speaker 1:Well, no, two museums, yeah. Museum tours yeah, you didn't do that.
Speaker 3:We didn't do that last time. I didn't go last time I know, but then there's still so many more things, so another reason to go back.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and Andy said to go back. Yeah, and andy said come back. But boom, boom, we had witch's hats, we had, oh shout out.
Speaker 3:We got a foggy dog fall sweater, just oh yeah we, it was perfect timing foggy dog fall sweater. Yes, that was perfect yeah um our little witchy hats I think I see a fly or something.
Speaker 1:What Did? You bring him home from Sleepy Hollow.
Speaker 3:I don't know. I keep seeing something flying around it.
Speaker 1:better not be one of those giant lantern guys. No. Oh my god, please yeah. So that was a lot of banter guys.
Speaker 3:Yeah, sorry for the long banter. Whoa it is. We did a lot of banter. Hit it tinko. Well then, also, this week was jam-packed with pop culture things. Oh wow, go. Well, we'll talk about. What should we talk about? First the vmas, sure, and um, I guess then we'll just talk about the queen, because she basically won all of the VMAs.
Speaker 1:Yeah, like she wins everything she's nominated for. Why does anyone else bother?
Speaker 3:No, but there were other highlights of the night, but I guess like the biggest highlight.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I like Katy Perry, sorry.
Speaker 3:Yeah, she did great, you think, so I liked it, you liked it, you liked the performance.
Speaker 1:It was fun.
Speaker 3:Really.
Speaker 1:Well, because it was so many songs mixed together, I have a short attention span. It was perfect for me.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I liked the songs. I wasn't really a big fan of the costumes or no, and also some of the choreography was a little I know, I liked her flying.
Speaker 1:It made me a little uncomfortable. Yeah, that was weird, but I liked her.
Speaker 3:I liked her flying yeah and like honestly she doesn't have to like. At the end of her performance she said how she did it on her first day of her period yeah she's a strange lady, I think I don't need to know that.
Speaker 1:Thank you, tmi no, but I think she's strange I think so too.
Speaker 3:I mean, I did.
Speaker 1:I don't know if you I don't know have I want to have you listened to the Call Her Daddy interview or watched it?
Speaker 3:No, I think you've told me about it, so I did watch it and it was very strange. I just don't think she really knows who she is. It doesn't seem. It's a very interesting interview.
Speaker 1:I would recommend anyone to go listen to it and you'll understand well, their performance was like she just jammed everything in, but I like the sound of it and I liked her flying the rest.
Speaker 3:I closed my eyes. For the rest, I love, love, love Katy Perry music.
Speaker 1:I closed my eyes for it because I'm a little young for that but her as a person.
Speaker 3:I don't really understand. Also, the whole thing with Dr Luke. That whole controversy is confusing, um, and she asked she actually was asked about it on the call her daddy podcast and her answer was basically not answering the question which was odd yes, she asked, like alex asked.
Speaker 3:You know people are upset because you collaborated with dr luke on your new album and you know he's. You know, like dr luke is the producer that was, um, sexually like harassing Kesha and everything and that's why Kesha brought him to court and all that. And, yeah, katy Perry had nothing to say about it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, very strange.
Speaker 3:Yeah, so I thought that kind of made her look not that great, like not in the best light.
Speaker 1:Well, she's strange.
Speaker 3:I love her music. Love it, love it, love. I don't really know who she is as a person, and that's okay, I don't need to, but that's my take. But also, the biggest thing about the VMAs was Taylor's shout out to her boyfriend. Travis Kelsey.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and she's like my boyfriend.
Speaker 3:The first time she's ever said it publicly, which is like wild. Everyone went just crazy about it. And also there is still there's talks about today because apparently today's Friday the 13th If no one understands like realizes.
Speaker 1:That's why I thought it was gonna be so fun and sleepy hollow for you, but all you did was work yeah but on um in taylor's album the torture poets department.
Speaker 3:In the actual album if you open it up and take the pop, the cd out, the back of the album there it says September 13th, 8.50 pm. So everyone is flipping out that.
Speaker 1:Something's happening tonight. Maybe, I don't have the album.
Speaker 3:Yeah, well, apparently Everything.
Speaker 1:I have is like Spotify and stuff, yeah.
Speaker 3:And I mean I have a physical album but I haven't opened it because I don't like to open them.
Speaker 1:But then we'll never see that. It says September 13th.
Speaker 3:Well, everyone's posting the pictures of it. Well, what is?
Speaker 1:it going to be about. I don't know. No one knows, maybe she's getting engaged.
Speaker 3:Stop it. Maybe, I don't know. So then the VMAs also. What's her name? I gonna say selena gomez, but that's not right, sabrina, sabrina carpenter. Okay, so sabrina performed. She also won for espresso yes and then. So this is like the funniest pop culture. So Britney Spears apparently disses Sabrina Carpenter's weird VMAs performance. Why is she kissing an alien?
Speaker 1:Yeah, what was that about?
Speaker 3:Britney Spears watched a few clips from this year's MTV Music Awards and revealed she wasn't a fan of Sabrina Carpenter's weird debut performance. I didn't watch the VMAs but I did see stuff on my phone from youtube of sabrina carpenter, um, and she. She started discussing her performance of taste. Why is she kissing an alien on stage?
Speaker 1:I didn't understand that either.
Speaker 3:Although the longtime pop star emphasized that she does adore carpenter and loves her to death, she was still perplexed by the 25 year old's decision to make it to make out with an alien halfway through her performance. I didn't understand that part me either, britney why didn't she kiss a girl?
Speaker 3:that was weird. The girl meets world alums performance included several songs from her new album Espresso Taste, please, please, please. Later in Spears' video. The mom of two was surprised to hear that Carpenter paid homage to her during the eventful evening. This Sabrina girl said my name on the red carpet and I thought that was kind of cool. The Grammy winner gushed. I forget I'm famous sometimes. Despite criticizing Carpenter's act on stage, spears expressed her gratitude for Carpenter's comments. So yeah, I don't really understand why she kissed an alien either.
Speaker 1:And we love Sabrina. She's nice to us, but why are you kissing?
Speaker 3:an alien, I know. I mean she kissed. She should have brought us up there to kiss us again.
Speaker 1:Yeah, like she did when we met her she wouldn't let us go.
Speaker 3:But I think that there's some weird like alien culture going on right now, because, like Taylor Swift was wearing that, alien dress?
Speaker 1:No, it's because the VMAs you get the moon man, so they were all doing spacey kind of things.
Speaker 3:Don't say moon man what it's a moon person now.
Speaker 1:What do you mean?
Speaker 3:It's not a moon man, it's a moon person.
Speaker 1:Oh gosh, oh come on.
Speaker 3:I'm sorry. I respect everything, but it's a moon man.
Speaker 1:He's a moon man it's always been a moon man. How is now he changed? Wait, did they put a bra or something on him to change his no?
Speaker 3:just I don't know why they have to call it a moon. I don't know. It's a moon man.
Speaker 1:I'm sorry. You've always been a moon man. You will always be a moon man will always be a moon man to me, so everybody was doing like space out yeah, everyone was doing moon.
Speaker 3:Okay, but why this year? I guess maybe they told him let's go with the moon man theme okay, but well, that's weird because so taylor had a year, she changed, changed three times Taylor into moon dresses no but I understand the alien. I think Taylor started the trend because Taylor has had spaceships and aliens. In the Tortured Poets department in her Error's Tour she has that spaceship. It's very weird alien-esque and space. So I think Taylor set the trend.
Speaker 1:So wait. You think Taylor told everybody dress, so wait, and everyone started doing alien.
Speaker 3:No, I don't think so. I just think that she started the cool alien trend.
Speaker 1:I don't think these people think that much.
Speaker 3:Yes, they do. Everyone was doing alien and space stuff.
Speaker 1:that's why I think everyone was told to do that, because why was Katy Perry flying on a moon? Why it wasn't because of Taylor told to do that, because why was Katy Perry flying?
Speaker 3:on a moon, why yeah, that's my point Like astronauts and weird. It wasn't because of Taylor. No, I think that she had like a little little part of it, like a tiny bit of influence of it.
Speaker 1:I don't know, I'm not going with that one Tink. That's a far reach.
Speaker 3:Well, it has to be pre-planned in some way, because, yeah, by the people who put on the VMAs.
Speaker 1:They told everyone here we want you to perform, but you have to incorporate the airspace moon theme.
Speaker 3:Yeah, no, oh, and then Taylor just happens to have alien type dresses.
Speaker 1:that were made custom. Yeah, because they told everybody.
Speaker 3:Okay, but it makes no sense. It aligns perfectly with her era.
Speaker 1:Okay, well, I love Taylor, but you're not getting the credit for this one, sorry. Okay, fine, I mean maybe Taylor and Sabrina had a little talky talk and Katie had a talky talk, and who are those other performers?
Speaker 3:Yeah, maybe everyone was like let's do alien culture.
Speaker 2:M&M whatever his name is.
Speaker 3:Did he do alien culture and whatever his name did he do it. I didn't even see.
Speaker 1:I think everybody did alien kind of themes. Whatever I'm over it moon, men I'm moving on moving on moon men.
Speaker 3:I'm moving on, but not moving on from the queen, because we have one more little story about her. So apparently, taylor swift returns to casa cipriani. After Maddie Healy, date pics caused member bans, this time with Travis Kelsey. So apparently, after the wedding that they attended at Electric Lady Studios, they went to Casa Cipriani.
Speaker 1:They must have been starving, because they probably didn't eat at the wedding.
Speaker 3:Her and Travis, yeah, so they were there in the members only club. They went to the? U. They probably didn't eat at the party. Her and Travis, yeah, so they were there in the members only club.
Speaker 1:They went to the US Open and then went somewhere too.
Speaker 3:Yes, they also were at the US Open. I feel like as soon as we finished Gossip Hubs, you know our podcast. Last week, Taylor and Travis went wild.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:They were everywhere.
Speaker 1:Everywhere, 24-7. Every time you blink, there was somewhere else.
Speaker 3:Yes, and they were at the US Open. We all saw they were wild.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:They were singing and dancing, touchy feely, kissing. Yeah, so then also at the US Open. Apparently, anna Wintour asked loud and annoying Jenna Bush, hager and Hoda Kopi to quiet down. Really, yes, Anna Wintour allegedly asked Jenna Bush, hager and Hoda Kopi to hush at the US Men's Championship match for the US Open. All three of the ladies, along with Savannah Guthrie, attended the star-studded game over the weekend. When the famous Vogue editor-in-chief told the Today colleagues to turn it down a notch.
Speaker 1:What they were working they were filming the whole time.
Speaker 3:Tennis is fun. We were loud and annoying. Hoda Kotb recalled on Today with Hoda and Jenna.
Speaker 1:They have to be into the match.
Speaker 3:Yeah. Then Jenna Bush Hager argued that some celebrities, such as former professional player Stan Smith, even encouraged them to be louder, though not everyone in the crowd was a fan of that direction. They must have been really loud like they were at the like Hoda was at the Olympics.
Speaker 1:They must have been really loud, Like they were at the like Hoda was at the Olympics.
Speaker 3:Yeah, they were probably wild I like that though. Why not? Yeah, and I mean, but Anna can do what she wants. Yeah, Anna's the queen oh goodness, but that is wild. Yeah, thought that was a funny story, good one, and yeah, we are getting. I have one more story, but I don't even think it's worth it because we are just getting.
Speaker 1:We got the banter was banterful I told you, sometimes there's just so much fuss happening and sometimes it's a snoozer week, yeah, so you're gonna skip that, you mean?
Speaker 3:um, I think I'll just skip it, but I'll just make it super quick that apparently um. So here's how much tom cruise got paid for his epic stunt at the 2024 paris olympics oh yeah guess how much he got paid I don't know exactly guess uh 10 million dollars no okay zero wait, they said, he got paid no free
Speaker 3:no, they said, he got paid no, he pulled off his epic hollywood stunt at the 2024 paris olympics for free wait what I remember they might have said that, but earlier, but apparently he got. He did not get a paycheck for his epic stunt to close out the Paris Olympics.
Speaker 1:He just wanted to be in it.
Speaker 3:Yep.
Speaker 1:Okay then.
Speaker 3:Go Tom, and that is my pop culture.
Speaker 1:Excellent Tink.
Speaker 3:So I've just got three quick stories very quick stories, one is Sorry, my microphone keeps falling.
Speaker 1:One is kind of a follow-up to, uh, something we talked about last year but, this is risa, the senior dog that gabriel inglesias treated to a lavish hundred thousand dollar quinceanera.
Speaker 3:Remember that yes, I do died no, yeah, rip.
Speaker 1:The 16 year old dog Was Gabriel Inglisius, beloved pet. The comedian announced that the senior dog's death. She made me happy. For almost 17 years she was there for me During the best times and the worst times. She died in my hands While I kissed her face, telling her how much I love her. So it's very sad, poor Risa. Okay, and the next one, her. So it's very sad, poor Risa. And the next one is a follow up also.
Speaker 3:So remember Beacon, the Gymnastics USA Olympic dog.
Speaker 1:Yes, that was in the hospital. He's out of the hospital. And apparently he's doing much better.
Speaker 3:Thank goodness.
Speaker 1:And doing better, and apparently he's doing much better. Oh, thank goodness. The owners shared. Thank you to everyone, all gratitude. And he had a biopsy. Results from his lung tissue shows no signs of cancer. They originally thought that's what happened to him. It's rare in dogs and the prognosis, even with chemotherapy, is poor. I had asked the question if not cancer, what are other suspects? We were told there is another form of cancer or something weird that we can't figure out yet. But that then came the good news it is not cancer of any sort. So his true illness is still unknown, but he's home and seems to be doing okay. Okay, maybe he was just overexhausted.
Speaker 3:I mean, maybe it's stressful to you know, keep all these Olympians, you know positive and keeping them going yeah, and to be their comfort system.
Speaker 1:It's like us when we're backstage at these.
Speaker 3:Yeah, like all these people wanting to cuddle you and hug you. It's tiring. It's like being a therapist.
Speaker 1:I love them all, but we are tired. Like after, at the end of the night, we're just like boom, we pass out.
Speaker 2:Yeah, okay, it's a lot of excitement.
Speaker 1:Yeah, my third and final story. It's a lot of excitement. Yeah, my third and final story. Jason Kelsey introduces family's new puppy, nessie, after death of dog Winnie, saying she is a terror. So this just happened. He's showing off the latest addition to his family. Nessie, the family's new energetic pet, is the latest.
Speaker 1:Have you seen Nessie yet our new puppy? Jason asked his brother, to which he responded I've been watching that wolf, that coyote, walking around behind you for the past five minutes. The former Philadelphia Eagles star then called the white and gray Irish wolfhound over to him, held her up to the camera before saying Come on, ness. Oh, say hi to everyone. Look, she's a big Irish wolfhound. Over to him, held her up to the camera before saying Come on, ness. Oh, say hi to everyone. Look, she's a big Irish wolfhound, see her. Yes, jason laughed, got dog kisses from Nessie, though he warned his brother on the podcast that while the pup looked innocent, she could be a handful. She's coming off really sweet right now, but she's a terror. So they got a new Irish Wolf fan. Look, she's nice. Yeah, six months after Winnie passed, it is Okay. So there you go. The Kelseys have a new dog.
Speaker 3:Thank you.
Speaker 1:And those are my three stories for pup culture for today. So there you go. The Kelseys have a new dog. Thank you, and those are my three stories for pop culture for today. Hope you enjoyed them. Tink.
Speaker 3:Loved them.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 3:Wow, what an episode.
Speaker 1:What a wild episode, guys. Wild and crazy Yeehaw.
Speaker 3:Oh, Yellowstone's coming back.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yellowstone's coming back in November.
Speaker 3:I think November right, yeah, but I don't want it to be November yet, cause that's.
Speaker 1:That's really winter.
Speaker 3:That's like Christmas is coming.
Speaker 1:Yeah, wait, and have you all been watching Only Murders in the Buildings?
Speaker 3:Nope, I have to catch up.
Speaker 1:That's fun too.
Speaker 3:Wait, did you watch it? Nope, I've been watching it.
Speaker 1:Belle, did your paws hit that remote? I didn't. I swear, I swear.
Speaker 3:I thought that was the sister show that we watched together.
Speaker 1:I mean, I've been watching it. I haven't watched the newest episode.
Speaker 3:Sure, I have a feeling that maybe your paws hit play.
Speaker 1:How is that? I think you're with me 24-7. Oh although I was home alone for two days when you were shooting.
Speaker 3:Yeah, so what'd you do on those two days you were shooting?
Speaker 1:I do not reveal my secrets, okay? Well then, we better get caught up on that and have a good Friday night. I bet our GPS knows what I did a lot of the time. Okay, eat and drink water and had some snacks. Okay, yeah, along with some fun TV.
