Speaker 3:Thank goodness I'm back for episode Ochenta y Cuatro Ochenta y.
Speaker 2:Cuatro. You know, I don't know how to say anything in Spanish, so I just skipped that part, because I'm like that's Tink's job, I can't do it. I'm lucky I got the English going. Welcome back, tinker Winker. I'm like that's Tink's job, I can't do it. I'm lucky I got the English going. Welcome back, tinker Winker. Thank you so much. We missed you. What a warm welcome, and we've had followers from all over the globe listening, I heard, and wondering where you've been. So I'm glad I can't tell them the truth. You're snoozing.
Speaker 3:You didn't feel like doing it. I was snoozing.
Speaker 2:Snoozing or losing yeah, so welcome back.
Speaker 3:I'm back A little, you know rest.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so everybody we're sorry, r&r.
Speaker 3:Rest and relaxation.
Speaker 2:We're sorry for the delay of a day, but happy Tinker's back. But it's because I've been.
Speaker 3:You are so busy Booked and busy.
Speaker 2:it's called Booked and busy.
Speaker 3:Booked and blessed.
Speaker 2:Booked and blessed, yeah, so let's hit. The banter, I guess. What do you think? Tink, I guess, so let's go. So here's the week how it began. Tink and I went to the spa. Fabulous, yes, we did. It was fierce, it was fabulous and it was fluffy yes, we came out so fluffy so fluffy.
Speaker 2:So then, so last week I told you I booked this great job. Well, I did, and now I shot this great job. So I had three full days. So day one I shot, okay. So yeah, it was video and stills, which means like commercials in print. So for the first day I got to work on set. So it's a we're a whole family. I can't tell you our names, but it's a mom, a dad, pup and me. You can't give away much. Nope, I can tell you that, though that we're a family that they assembled and I guess we don't look alike, but we kind of do, I could be there. Like everybody says that if they're combined, I would be that. Yeah. And if you look today, you'll see my actor mom and actor dad on our social media post. Yep, you would, yeah. So the mom has this great curly hair and big ears and the dad is like a border collie guy, brown and white. And here I am and literally I'm the size of like their tails. Yeah, they're big.
Speaker 3:Much bigger than you.
Speaker 2:Their names are Titter Tot and Coaster. And do you know, coaster lives in Maryland and he had to drive. She had to drive here for the week for the shoot. I know, yeah, far away, and Tater Tot lives somewhere far away too, but not that far, somewhere upstate New York, I think. Anyway, so the first day we shot video. I think I shot like three scenes, but it was great. And then the second day I must have shot, I don't know, maybe eight or more scenes. But then, because we were all friends from the first day, the second day Coaster got there early with me and we got to have a play date. Well, I never had so much fun in my life. We ran all over the set, we played so much and we just had the best time. We all got over the set, we played so much and we just had the best time. We all got along really well. I mean, I'm not afraid of them, they're like 5,000 times my size, but I had fun.
Speaker 3:That's all that matters, bill, yeah, and I would come home every night and I would tell Tink, everything happened.
Speaker 2:I know, yeah. And then, oh, yeah. So what happened in between? That was so Taylor Swift, the queen, had to cancel Vienna.
Speaker 3:Okay, wait a second. That is my first story on pop culture.
Speaker 2:Okay, I'm sorry, but then we have to.
Speaker 3:No, you already brought it up. Okay, I'm not done. Bantering, no, no, no, go ahead. Nope, I'm going back to banter. No, that is banter. It was a week. It was crazy what happened.
Speaker 2:But that's, we'll save that for pop culture. We stopped our pause.
Speaker 3:We stopped in our tracks.
Speaker 2:I know, but wait, we'll save that for pop culture okay.
Speaker 3:Okay, so you kind of have a hint of what's coming.
Speaker 1:Okay, so then.
Speaker 2:So I had a day off Thursday, which was really great because I needed to sleep.
Speaker 3:Yeah, two straight days on set.
Speaker 2:Really long hours, like it's not a three, four hour shoot, we're talking morning until nighttime. Okay, then Friday Friday, which was yesterday I had an early call time and I shot all the steals and it was so much fun. But I can't tell you much other than that, other than I had a really, really good day and everybody loved me. They said they loved me.
Speaker 3:Of course they did.
Speaker 2:Oh look, I forgot to push this button and they said I was so good. And they said they can't believe how much I could do because I'm so small. So here's what happened I was able to jump on the couch. Okay, one scene, they have me. Okay, can Belle do this? And I said never underestimate me. So I went, I went, had to jump on the couch, jump to the floor, jump to the chair, jump to the floor, run to the camera. Well, I did it right away and the first take and the whole place was standing on their feet and clapping.
Speaker 3:Oh, my goodness.
Speaker 2:And one of the big ones. They just asked him to jump on the couch. He couldn't. That was funny.
Speaker 3:That is funny.
Speaker 2:And then I came home late last night and, wow, I just couldn't wake up early enough to do the podcast today.
Speaker 3:I know. So, that's why we're doing it now.
Speaker 2:And we're here and it's a great day and Tink's back and we're going to go right to Tink on the poppin' culture.
Speaker 3:Yes, we are. We're going to pop some culture.
Speaker 2:Let's pop it away, Tinky.
Speaker 3:All right. Well, first story is of Taylor Swift's Eros Tour concert and how it was canceled in Vienna this past week. What the heck? Because of a terrorist plot? Mm-hmm, crazy people. So the 14-time Grammy winner is expected to bring her Aris Tour to the UK capital next week, after her three shows in Vienna were canceled Wednesday due to a terrorist threat. And London's mayor, sadiq Khan, said Thursday that he plans to welcome the pop superstar to his city on August 15th as she kicks off her five sold-out nights at Wembley Stadium before returning to North America. And he said that we have a huge amount of experience in policing these events. We're never complacent. Many lessons were learned after the awful Manchester Arena attack.
Speaker 2:That was Ariana. Yes, Ariana Grande.
Speaker 3:And the police work closely not just with City Hall but with councils, but also with those who host concerts, like the Taylor Swift concert coming up over the next couple of weeks, and he's sure Vienna has got its own reasons for deciding to cancel the concert, but they're going to carry on.
Speaker 2:I don't know.
Speaker 3:Working closely with police and ensuring that Taylor Swift concerts can take place in London safely. The jury's out on that, because I know Well, because there has been complete silence from the Queen herself.
Speaker 2:Take place in London safely. The jury's out on that. Because? Well, because there has been complete silence from the queen herself, I think.
Speaker 3:Well, she was already flipped out. Taylor Nation posted it, yeah, but she has not posted anything.
Speaker 2:No, she's. She's very nervous. I don't know if it's going to happen or not, because I know. I think he is to happen or not, because I know I think he is. The mayor is saying it positively because he doesn't want to lose the tourist revenue for the city of london, of course, but I think it's just really scary and I think taylor it is, you know, scary for her yeah, and she's on the right right.
Speaker 2:She can cancel, she can do it, she doesn't have to, and then she could wait to come back to the US or whatever. What is it? Miami, the first stop.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I just think she shouldn't take too many chances, because that was crazy. It was people who bought tickets and they were teenagers, yeah, who were the terrorists. So if they can get that far, what can an adult?
Speaker 3:do. I know it's very upsetting that this is ruining everything.
Speaker 2:Well, people are nuts and people just can't let anyone be happy.
Speaker 3:I know.
Speaker 2:And I don't understand what the point of all of this violence is. Everybody Just be friends, be nice, that's it. Leave everyone alone, mind your own business and end the story. Why does everyone have to get involved In everyone's business? I know, yeah, so I don't know. I know London has really good Like secret. What is it called? Not secret servers, not FBI, those undercover? People, whatever they are yeah, they do, but I don't think Taylor's Well, it's going to ultimately be her decision. I agree.
Speaker 3:And we support you, whatever you think. Taylor.
Speaker 2:Exactly, taylor, we're with you, yes or no. We're with you and you will not lose Swifty fans because, oh, no way, no, everybody's backing you.
Speaker 3:Well, and no one is. The only people that have confirmed it's going to go on is London, but they're not talking to Taylor. Taylor can cancel it at any time, right? If she's not comfortable. Correct, and I don't blame her. I don at any time, right, if she's not comfortable.
Speaker 2:Correct, and I don't blame her. I don't either. I mean, the world is mad, yep, crazy world. See, tink, I didn't get to do this because I was talking to myself. It was really weird.
Speaker 3:I bet you did fine Belle.
Speaker 2:I don't know, it was really weird. I hope so, but I don't know.
Speaker 3:I bet All right. Next story Sure.
Speaker 2:Next story.
Speaker 3:Okay. Well, now we're going to move on to Olympics news. I love the Olympics. The USA has defeated Brazil to win women's soccer gold medal.
Speaker 2:Woohoo, woof score yeah.
Speaker 3:So the most decorated team in women's soccer won a fifth Olympic gold medal at the Parc des Princes in Paris, defeating Brazil 1-0 in the final. Wow, Wow. That must have been a crazy game.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, we all have to watch it on replay. Yeah, I missed so much because I was working so many hours.
Speaker 3:I know yeah, but they won gold.
Speaker 2:I'm so happy, Go US. Sorry everybody else, but I have to root for USA, even though we love you all.
Speaker 3:Completely yeah. And then we'll start with some fashion news with Simone Biles. Oh yeah, simone Biles treats herself to Hermes purse in Paris after becoming the most decorated gymnast in history. Wow, way to persevere. Yeah, go, simone. It appears Simone Biles celebrated becoming the most decorated gymnast in history by buying herself a new Hermes handbag. The 11-time Olympic medalist shared snapshots of her pricey shopping spree to her Instagram story on goat necklace and all the diamonds on it. Yeah, she's really splurging this girl. Now she's getting in her Birkin.
Speaker 2:Yeah, she's splurging Mm-hmm. Go Simone. Well, she deserves it. Good for her, absolutely. And you know what? She might come back the next Olympics yeah, you never know. Don't count her out. She's the GOAT.
Speaker 3:Exactly.
Speaker 2:Don't count her out.
Speaker 3:Never Mm-mm.
Speaker 2:Never underestimate her.
Speaker 3:Okay, and then a recent drama that just dropped also.
Speaker 3:Uh-oh, uh-oh Is that Jordan Childs may lose her Olympic bronze medal after judges rule to reinstate her previous score. Oh, her Olympic bronze medal after judges rule to reinstate her previous score. The Romanian gymnasts who fell to fourth and fifth place after her score adjustment had protested the decision and the Court of Arbitration for Sport have ruled in their favor. Jordan Childs may lose her Olympic bronze medal in floor after a judge for the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled in favor of two Romanian gymnasts on August 10th, which is today. See, that's why we didn't do this yesterday. So Childs, 23, won the bronze on the floor final her first ever individual Olympic medal on Monday, august 5th. She initially finished the event in fifth based on the judge's scoring, but her coach. She initially finished the event in fifth based on the judges' scoring, but her coach quickly submitted a successful inquiry into the decision that put her on the podium.
Speaker 3:Yes, I remember that drama, the judges agreed with coach Cecile Landi that Child's difficulty score had been too low, specifically regarding a leap that involved performing a split in the air while turning at 540 degrees. Childs was updated to third place, ahead of Romanian gymnasts Anna Barbosu, who had initially won bronze, and Sabrina Menica Vujana.
Speaker 2:They're both.
Speaker 3:Romanian.
Speaker 1:Sorry, Sabrina.
Speaker 3:The Romanian Olympic Committee protested the decision to Cass C-A-S, who on Saturday decided to reinstate Child's original score. That put her back in fifth place below the gymnast who finished with 13.7 scores.
Speaker 2:Well, she wasn't getting the medal and then all of a sudden everybody in the press was like wait, what just happened? Because her score automatically gave her third place and everybody was like what just happened? So I don't know how they persuaded them to change it, but now they persuaded them to change it back.
Speaker 1:It's a little confusing.
Speaker 2:It's a little confusing, but I don't know that takes a medal away from USA.
Speaker 3:Yes, it does?
Speaker 2:I honestly don't even remember the Romanian gymnasts now, like what they did, so I don't remember if they were better or worse. We're having a little technical difficulty over here. What?
Speaker 3:happened, Tinker. I don't know what's happening. This microphone is falling.
Speaker 2:Oh, of course Tinker hasn't been in the sound studio, so it's a little kooky in here now. So, um, let me get up. You keep talking, tinker, my paws are fixing.
Speaker 3:No, I'm talking, but I don't even understand. So now, what is do they take it like? Does she have to return the medal? Yeah, yeah, but isn't she home already? She has to mail it back. Give it back. That's terrible. Yeah, something's wrong. Yeah, something happened in here. Okay, well, I'll just hold it.
Speaker 2:Maybe if we go like this and move this back a little, it'll be a little better.
Speaker 3:How's that Tink? I don't know. Things are falling apart over here.
Speaker 2:All right, I'm back in my seat.
Speaker 3:Things are just a mess.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so she has to mail the medal back. She's not allowed to keep it. You lose, you lose. Yeah, so she has to mail the medal back. She's not allowed to keep it. You lose, you lose. She shouldn't have gotten it. That means from the beginning, and I don't know what went on there, oh my goodness.
Speaker 3:Well, she posted a heartbroken series of emojis on her Instagram stories after it came out and said I am taking this time and removing myself from social media for my mental health.
Speaker 2:Thank you. Well, I don't know, are people being mean to her?
Speaker 3:Yes, that child has been receiving hateful messages. Accusing her of being a cheater.
Speaker 2:Oh, she wasn't the cheater. They changed the score. She didn't change her own score Exactly. Oh, come on, people, be real here. I know the coach told them and they agreed with her. Now they don't agree with her. Yeah, that's not Jordan's fault. That's so strange. Yeah, well, we'll see what happens, won't we? Yes, we will. Hmm, yeah, all right.
Speaker 3:All right. Next story. Oh more stories Great Moving on from the Olympics. Excellent. Jamie Lee Curtis promises the return of Lindsay Lohan's Freaky Friday band Pink Slip in Freakier Friday Wow.
Speaker 2:I can't wait. That's so fun.
Speaker 3:Lohan also teased that an upcoming song from the fictional band will tug on your heartstrings. Oh so then it says. The Halloween End star Jamie Lee Curtis obviously shared in an interview at D23 on Friday. See, we would have missed all these stories.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we would have missed so much, guys, if we didn't do this today.
Speaker 3:That fans can expect to see callbacks in Freakier Friday to the original film, including the reunion of its ultimate musicians. Yay, pink Slip is back. Film including the reunion of its ultimate musicians. Yay, woof, woof, woof, pink Slip is back. Let's put it that way, curtis said, of the fictional band which is compromised of um sorry, not compromised comprised of Lindsay Lohan, christina Vidal and Hayley Hudson's characters, anna, maddie and Peg. All three of the actresses are returning for the sequel.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you wanna know a secret what I knew they were.
Speaker 3:I know because you looked it up.
Speaker 2:I looked it up. I looked up each person's individual Wikipedia and it all said Freaky is Friday, part two, Mm-hmm. So I knew before this broke, because my paws were checking each person out individually.
Speaker 3:And then Lindsay Lohan teased that fans may even be seeing more of the band in their new film. When we were filming the songs, audience members were like encore, and we were like we only have one song. We didn't think this through, but there are more songs in this movie.
Speaker 2:Oh good, yes, they were good. I watched that movie again recently, last weekend, I think I did it. Did you say last? Yeah, that's why I look. Or did I watch it on my day off? I don't remember, but that's why I looked up each person.
Speaker 3:Yeah, recently we watched it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and that's why I looked up each person. Yeah, and that's why I looked up each person, the actors, because Excellent film, excellent, highly recommended, highly recommended, feel good.
Speaker 3:It's a feel-good film, it's really funny. Yes.
Speaker 2:It's really funny, hey Tink. I wonder if we can do that in change places.
Speaker 3:That would be funny actually. Yeah, I'd be you, you'd be me Freaky.
Speaker 2:Friday for us. Yeah, fre Freaky Friday for us. Yeah, freaky Friday and the bells. That would be hard for me to stay still and be like I'm Tinkerbell, I'm glamorous.
Speaker 3:I know, I don't know if I could do the whole bell thing.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I don't think you have the energy for me. I don't know.
Speaker 3:I definitely don't have the energy or the appetite. No, no.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I wear a tink out in five seconds. She likes to talk.
Speaker 3:Yes, you do. Yeah, I'm already worn out. I'm ready to take a snooze.
Speaker 2:She's going to snooze after this again. All right, moving on.
Speaker 3:That's the end of my pop culture.
Speaker 2:Yay, now I'm going to puppet, you're going to puppet, yeah, okay, all right, on to pop culture. Here we go. Let's see what Tink has to say about these stories. I've found Dog sets home on fire after chewing phone charger containing lithium ion battery.
Speaker 2:What, oh yes, come on. A house fire in Tulsa, oklahoma, was discovered that's where you're from, belle, yes, I'm from Oklahoma. Yeehaw, yeehaw. To be caused by an unexpected source, when a family dog was captured on video starting the blaze by chewing on a battery. The Tulsa Fire Department warned residents of dangers of lithium-ion batteries and shared a video from a dog chewing on a cell phone battery pack. That ultimately exploded and caused a house fire. What, what. What follows is an all-out blaze in the home that sprang local firefighters into action. Look at them watching. Whoa, it's crazy. We responded to a house fire that was caused by damaged ion battery. The home is significantly damaged. The dogs and cat escaped uninjured. They went through the dog door the three of them. That was smart of them. Wow, they thought to do that. They knew to get the heck out Smart doggies.
Speaker 2:Well, they caused a fire, but they ran out for safety. So lesson pups, stop chewing on batteries.
Speaker 3:No wires not batteries.
Speaker 2:Lithium ion battery phone charger is not a wire.
Speaker 3:Wait, is that a wire? How is it? I thought they were chewing on a wire.
Speaker 2:He was chewing on a lithium ion phone battery pack. Does that have?
Speaker 3:wires. I don't know Wait you're telling me this dog was chewing on a box.
Speaker 2:A box. Come on, I'm not kidding, look it says it.
Speaker 3:I thought it was the wire for the battery.
Speaker 2:No, no, not a wire. He was chewing on the box, I guess you call it Well, that's not smart.
Speaker 2:Yeah, exactly, chewing on the cell phone battery pack. Oh, so that's like a Mophie? Yeah, yeah, it is. It's Mophies, I guess. Crazy dog. Well, thank goodness everybody's okay. The house is not, but the dogs and the people are okay. And they saw it because their camera recorded the whole thing. So if the camera didn't record it they would have been like what started the fire. Yeah, meanwhile, woof, woof.
Speaker 2:Next hero dog refused to leave owner's side after getting man help for a significant injury. A dog owner has his pet to thank for receiving quick help during a medical emergency. A dog owner required assistance after suffering a hip injury, falling 20 feet down a hill in Pennsylvania. After falling, the man who was walking his dog at the time couldn't get up His loyal dog, a golden retriever, acted quickly, alerting neighbors nearby that his pet parent needed help. Okay, so he got help and wouldn't leave the owner's side While they were helping him. He stayed right by his side. So I like that. That's a great guy. That's a loyal great guy. That is Next abandoned senior dog left tied to a picnic table in New York with a note calling the pet a good boy.
Speaker 2:Isn't this terrible? What Terrible. A senior dog is working to start a new life after being abandoned in a New York park. Cuzz Pit Crew, a non-profit based Syracuse New York, posted on Facebook about the canine named Max. In this post, the organization, which advocates for responsible pit bull ownership, shared the heartbreaking circumstances that led to Cause Pit Crew learning about the pet. Okay, this morning, sweet Max was left tied to a picnic table in Syracuse's Schiller Park along with this note. We met Syracuse police dog control there then got pictures, transported Max to emergency care for vet. In the photos Max, who has a brindle fur pattern, lies on the ground beside the picnic table. He's tied to Photos of the note left taped near the dog, red Ready for this. I'm a good boy. I am 17 years old, my name is Max. My owners can't take care of me no more. Please help Great.
Speaker 3:Thank you.
Speaker 2:Is that proper English? Shouldn't it be anymore?
Speaker 3:Yes.
Speaker 2:Just saying You're going to write a note, write it correctly, you bad people.
Speaker 1:I cannot believe this Anyway.
Speaker 2:Max is okay. They took him right away to a vet the doctor and he's in a temporary house right now and has some friends and we'll see what the future holds. But Max has been rescued and those people are terrible people. Yes, they are pretty awful. Okay, I've got one more story. I poor Max, I know. Maybe I'm hoping I have one more story. Something's wrong with my page here. Oh no, what's happening? I don't know, uh-oh, oh, here we go. Okay, ready, this is really funny, I'm ready. People are confessing to eating dog treats and share the ones that actually taste good.
Speaker 3:I knew that human was stealing dog treats. Sometimes I'm saying where are my luxury treats Probably in human stomach.
Speaker 2:People are confessing to enjoying dog treats and have even claimed there are some that actually taste good. Most of us wouldn't dream of eating dog food we give to our four-legged friends. We may love them, but Canaan companions tend to dine on kibble and reconstituted meat products, while the likes of pig's ears, dried fish etc are common choices. I don't think I eat pig's ears and stuff like that, but that sounds gross. Anyway, this is, of course, on Reddit. Someone wrote I like some types of dog treats. Okay, who? Someone said some are kind of good. I guess I'm just crazy and weird. I've told people before. They just look at me disgustedly. Am I the only one? Turns out they were not the only one. Someone said I accidentally ate one of the Pepco Oreo treats one time while I was partaking in some gardening. So I concur, they're tasty under the right circumstances. What? Meanwhile, another agreed like milk bones, not judging at all To which the original poster said I've never eaten one of those. This prompted the response. The last time I ate one, I think I was 11, but I remember it being terrible. Meanwhile, one person did not agree that dog treats were as tasty for humans. They smell so good but never taste as good as they smell. Someone else said Okay.
Speaker 2:So the question is should you be eating dog treats? Hmm, I don't know. Well, I know that's just a crazy article, but I do know that there is a bakery that is just for pets, Because we met the owners and they opened this bakery I think it's in Brooklyn, yeah, and it's only for pets. But you would think it was human food, Because it's like you could only use it in all kinds of real stuff. It looks real. So I would think, if you're walking down the street of this bakery as a human, you would want to go in and be like oh, I'm hungry, I'll have a snack, I'll have a cannoli or I'll have a cookie or I'll have a, but it's for pets. But I think lots of humans out there probably test their pet's treats. I know our human does not. Yes, she does not. Well, who knows, though?
Speaker 3:We should keep an eye on her.
Speaker 2:Yeah, let's set up a camera on her. I know let's get one of those GoPro and hook it on her. So she doesn't know and we'll follow it. So we'll find out the truth. We're going to find out the truth, human, if you snack on our treats, yep, especially because I need all the treats I can get.
Speaker 1:Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2:And that's the end of my pop culture for episode 32. That's the end.
Speaker 3:That's it. That's very good pop culture.
Speaker 2:Thanks and very good pop culture and happy to have you back, Tinker. Oh are you? Yeah, you should be thrilled, you should be honored. We're all honored and blessed with your presence. Of course you are. The queen has taken to the studio with us today. So wrap it up, Tinker.
Speaker 3:Oh, am I wrapping it up? Wow, yeah, wrapping it up, tinkra. Oh, am I wrapping it up? Wow.
Speaker 2:Yeah, wrapping it up, I know, unless you want to hear some stats about the podcast, like our followers and all I mean if you want to go through stats, but I'm ready. Well.
Speaker 3:Whatever you're ready for.
Speaker 2:Let's just see something here.
Speaker 3:Okay, we'll just hit up some stats before.
Speaker 2:Let's hit some stats. Let's check our top countries again, because that's always interesting to me.
